This week Andrew & Ted are reviewing Netflix's original romantic comedy "The Life List", starring Sofia Carson (Alex), Kyle Allen (Brad), Sebastian de Souza (Garrett) and Connie Britton (Elizabeth). Elizabeth, mom of three (Alex, Julian, and Lucas), passes away leaving clear instruction as it pertains to inheritances for her two boys Julian and Lucas. The inheritance for her only daughter (Alex / Sofia Carson) is a little more complicated. For Alex to secure her inheritance she must complete a list of things she, Alex, wrote as things to accomplish in life when she was just thirteen. She has one year to accomplish those eleven things on her list. Every time she completes one of the items the family attorney gives her a cd that her mom recorded for her of her offering her support as she checks them off this list. One of these items on her, Alex's, life list is to find true love. That's where Brad (Allen) and Garrett (Souza) come in. Brad works at the law firm overseeing the will and Brad is the attorney acting as the estate's executor. Garrett on the other hand is the director of a non-profit where Alex works as a teacher. This week on "Streaming Without A Paddle" Andrew and Ted sit down to discuss Prime's acquisition of the Icelandic production "Touch". Based off the novel of the same name it's about an Icelandic man in search of the Japanese woman that he met and had a relationship with 50 years prior when the two of them lived in London where he worked in the girl's father's restaurant. Set in both present-time as well as 1970 this story follows both the struggles of an emerging love as well as the hopes of rekindling what was some 50 years earlier. Directed and told by Baltasar Kormákur (Beast, Adrift, Contraband, The Deep) it is truly a heart warming story that most can relate too as we all have someone we have either thought ... "what if" and or "where are they now".
This week Andrew and Ted sat down and binged, because all 8 episodes dropped at once, Netflix's original series "No Good Deed". The episodes averaged between 30 - 35 minutes in length so it was a quick watch. The series stars Ray Romano and Lisa Kudrow with recurring roles from Luke Wilson, Denis Leary, Linda Cardellini, Poppy Liu, Teyonah Parris, and O-T Fagbenle. Three couples vie to purchase the home owned by Ray Romano and Lisa Kudrow as they figure selling the home is the answer to their problems. Each couple vying to purchase has issues that they need to come to terms with during this positioning to purchase. This two-hour Christmas movie stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Chris Evans (Captain America) with co-starring performances from J.K. Simmons, Kiernan Shipka, and Lucy Liu. Callum (played by The Rock) plays Santa's (a.k.a. "Red One" played by J.K. Simmons) head of security or as they call head of E.L.F. (Extremely Large and Formidable) and is tasked with saving Red One after he has been kidnapped. Two immediate suspects emerge, Gryla and Krampus, after learning that "The Wolf" (played by Chris Evans) was nothing more than an unwitting accomplice. However, no bad deed goes unpunished and "The Wolf" is now tasked to assist in saving Santa. Tune in to the show to see what Andrew and Ted thought about this action / comedy.
This week on "Streaming Without A Paddle" Andrew and Ted breakout of the Hallmark esque holiday options and watched "Dear Santa" starring Jack Black and Robert Timothy Smith with repeating appearances from Jaden Carson Baker and Kai Marie Cech. This entire family appropriate movie is about a boy (played by Robert Timothy Smith) that has dyslexia who thinks he sent his Christmas wish list to Santa but instead addressed it to Satan (played by Jack Black). Satan takes this opportunity to expand his soul pool by pretending to be Santa and grants the boy 3 wishes. Tune in to the show to see what Andrew and Ted thought.

"Our Little Secret" starring Lindsay Lohan (Avery) and Ian Harding (Logan) with appearances / co-starring Kristin Chenoweth, Jon Rudnitsky, and Katie Baker. Avery and Logan were long time boyfriend and girlfriend that ultimately ended leaving the two estranged as they went on with their lives with each finding new loves ... that just happened to be siblings. Christmas brings Avery and Logan back together as they accompany their partners back to their family home to celebrate the season. Upon their shocking arrival Avery and Logan feel it best to keep their previous relationship a secret but as time goes on, as well as their rekindling of their relationship, it is found out by the third sibling of their partners Avery and Logan's history. And as Ted said ... Hilarity Ensues.
Andrew and Ted kick off the Holiday season with Netflix's Christmas original ... "Hot Frosty" starring Lacey Chabert (Mean Girls) as Kathy and Dustin Milligan (Schitt's Creek) as Jack. In the little town of Hopeville there's an annual snow sculpting contest at Christmas and widower / diner owner Kathy is given a scarf by the husband / wife owners of the local boutique as a Christmas present. Little did Kathy, or anybody for that matter, know there was a little magic in that scarf and when she placed around the neck of the Adonis-esque snow sculpture it comes to life. Being the kind hearted person Kathy is she attempts to help this individual who seems to have amnesia and in the process they begin to fall in love. The question then becomes what becomes of these two as time goes on and the heat is turned up by the local sheriff who is trying to figure out who broke into the local boutique and stole some clothes. This week on "Streaming Without A Paddle" Andrew and Ted sit down to discuss, what I think it's safe to say, the best movie either of them have seen in a long while ... "My Old Ass". The movie stars Maisy Stella (from the series "Nashville"), Percy Hypes White (from the Netflix series "Wednesday"), and Aubrey Plaza (White Lotus / Parks and Recreation). "My Old Ass" is written and directed by Megan Parks (The Fallout), her second such project in that combined role.
This week's episode of "Streaming Without A Paddle" has Andrew and Ted review the Netflix original "Time Cut", starring Madison Bailey (Outer Banks, The Painter) as Lucy Field, Antonia Gentry (Ginny & Georgia, Prom Dates) as Summer Field, and co-starring Griffin Gluck (Tall Girl, Why Him?) as Quinn. Lucy inadvertently travels back in time 20 years to the date in which her hometown was targeted by serial killer that ended up taking three victims over the course of few days. One such killing was that of the sister she never got to know having been born after her passing. Lucy, understanding where she has ended up is now faced with the decision whether to try to stop the murders and alter the time line or just let it play out as history and just focus on getting back home.
This week on this week's episode of streaming original review podcast "Streaming Without A Paddle" Andrew and Ted break out of the Halloween horror mode with PrimeVideo's original "Brothers" starring Peter Dinklage (Jady Munger), Josh Brolin (Moke Munger), and Glen Close (Cath / Mom Munger) with a supporting role appearances from Brendan Fraser (Farful) and Taylour Paige (Abby Munger). Cameo appearance from Marisa Tomei and M. Emmet Walsh. Jady is following in his mother's footsteps by pursuing a life of petty crime, while twin (fraternal) brother Moke is trying his best to establish a life away from the family business but keeps getting sucked in because of his "protector" role, something he promised his mother just before she went on the lamb for a period of 25 years.

Conceptually stemming from a 2021 Huluween short "Carved" is about a pumpkin patch that has been exposed to some sort of toxin thus allowing the plant fruit to become ALIVE and seek murderous revenge on those who carve pumpkins during Halloween. It's a story concept that goes deep and so do Andrew and Ted with their thoughts. Tune in to see what Andrew and Ted thought about this Halloween fright.

What seems like a simple clean up turns into a multi-layered mess when forced to work together and when the matter they're forced to clean up turns out not be as big of a mess as they thought it initially was, rather it has morphed into a different yet equally difficult mess. The feature also co-stars Austin Abrams in a very prominent role as well as appearances from Amy Ryan (Sugar), Poorna Jagannathan (The Out-Laws), and Zlatko Buric. This week Andrew and Ted discuss the Netflix original "The Union", starring Halle Barry (Roxanne), Mark Wahlberg (Mike), J.K. Simmons (Tom). Roxanne (Barry) works for a secret special unit of the CIA (ala the IMF / Mission Impossible) referred to as "The Union". In an effort remain "independent" "The Union" recruits from outside existing intelligent agencies within the government ... rather they recruit and train specialists and or individuals they feel might fit in within the unit. Mike (Wahlberg) is one such individual / recruit who just happens to be Roxanne's former high school sweet heart who is now a high rise construction worker in their hometown in New Jersey. Now teamed together, Roxanne and Mike work together, along with the rest of the team, to track down and retrieve a computer hard drive that contains the names, addresses, etc ... of every CIA agents as well as their informants / operatives. Rory (Matt Damon) and Cory (Casey Affleck), two strangers, end up working together on a make-shift burglary crew. What is billed, to them when recruited, as a simple in and out job turns out to be anything but. Little did they and their partners in crime know the person they were hired to rob just happened to be not only one of if not the city's biggest organized crime bosses but is also the city's mayor who just lost re-election and is now in a scramble to cover their criminal tracks as they are being forced from office. Of course the robbery goes awry and these two are left to fend for themselves as the rest of the team has been eliminated.
