Tom and Tony interview the amazing Sarah Macdonald a Character Supervisor at Skydance Animation, but living abroad in Madrid. We discuss the job of being a character supervisor on the new Netflix hit film "Swapped".

Daily Soap Opera Spoilers by Soap Dirt (GH, Y&R, B&B, and DOOL)
Click to Subscribe: https://bit.ly/Youtube-Subscribe-SoapDirt General Hospital spoilers are rife with baby drama and family feuds. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), assisted by Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper), welcomes her baby into the world, though an unexpected twist might be on the horizon. Portia's ex-husband, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), is expected to meet his newborn son soon, but the possibility that Aunt Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) tampered with Portia's paternity test looms large. GH spoilers reveal Portia's pregnancy has been a contentious issue, sparking tension between her and Jordan. Despite the discord, Jordan stepped up to help deliver the baby when Portia went into labor. Meanwhile, Curtis, facing criminal and civil charges due to his attack on Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson), shows no remorse, complicating matters further. Spoilers for General Hospital indicate that Stella Henry, always the meddler, was insistent on Portia and Curtis saving their marriage for their baby. However, with Curtis involved with Jordan and Portia growing closer to Isaiah, Stella's hopes seem far-fetched. If Stella did meddle with the paternity test results, it could potentially blow up during an unforeseen medical crisis related to the newborn, revealing Isaiah as the real father. More GH spoilers expect that in the coming weeks, Curtis's criminal trial and civil court proceedings against Isaiah are expected to unfold, with Curtis making demands about the newborn. With the possibility of Stella's actions being exposed and karma catching up with Curtis. This episode was hosted by Belynda Gates-Turner for Soap Dirt. Brian's brilliant “Father to Son” officially kicks off Queen II with sparkles and thoughtfulness, but it isn't long until floating harmonies and edgy dirt take over. I indulged in my deep(er) explorations of this song; my favorite from the band. Some elements came to life in the 2026 mix, while dynamics dominated in the original. The Sessions take goes beyond entertaining banter to give us cheeky irritation! And every version highlights the boys' innate ability to lift a rock song into something almost transcendent.

Legendary comedian Cedric the Entertainer joins the pod to talk Knicks basketball, Tracy Morgan, Broadway, and his new Netflix animated film Swapped. Plus, the fun bonus fact: the one celebrity he'd swap bodies with for a day!
This week on Sober Awkward, Vic sits down with TJ Power, a well-known neuroscientist, author of the Sunday Times bestseller The DOSE Effect, and the founder of the DOSE Lab. He is a leading voice in demystifying brain chemistry, focusing on helping people manage digital burnout, phone addiction, and overstimulation in the modern world.TJ shares his own story of changing his relationship with alcohol, including a powerful epiphany at a music festival that made him completely rethink what connection, fun and presence really mean. Together, they explore the surprising similarities between alcohol addiction and phone addiction, and why both are fuelled by the same dopamine-driven reward systems in the brain. The conversation takes an unexpected turn when Vic has a rather uncomfortable realisation of her own. Eight years sober and feeling quite smug about no longer disappearing into bottles of wine, she suddenly discovers she's been disappearing into something else instead… her phone. In a moment that feels a bit like being caught snogging behind the bike sheds, Vic realises she may be neglecting her children in exactly the same way she used to neglect them with alcohol. Not physically absent, but mentally elsewhere. Half listening. Half scrolling. Forever saying, “Just one second, darling…”It's a surprisingly emotional moment as TJ explains that the dopamine hits from our phones aren't a million miles away from the rewards we chase through alcohol, and Vic starts to wonder whether she's simply swapped one distraction for another. This episode isn't about throwing your phone in the sea or moving to a cave. It's about becoming curious about the habits that quietly shape our lives. And make sure you listen right to the end, because Vic returns with a surprising update after attempting her own digital detox weekend.A fascinating conversation that might just make you question your scrolling as much as your drinking.Find TJ here - @tjpower@doselab - Order the book now - https://a.co/d/0fghgGAcwww.thedoselab.com

The chaos starts EARLY on this daily comedy show when Rafe wakes up convinced the evil clown from Poltergeist finally came for him… only to discover his blind dog Bo trapped underneath the bed like a furry little cryptid with no exit strategy. Naturally, instead of calmly handling the situation like adults, the show spirals immediately into discussions about utility companies rescuing animals, tow truck conspiracies, and whether MSD has a secret deer extraction task force. You know… journalism. Then the crew dives headfirst into the truly important national debate: what is ACTUALLY the best day of a three-day weekend? Is it the first Saturday because there are “no consequences”? Is Sunday secretly elite because Monday still exists? Or is Monday only enjoyable if you're some kind of psychopath who enjoys thinking about Tuesday? The answers get oddly passionate for a group of people operating on gas station coffee and sarcasm.Meanwhile, competitive eating legend Joey Chestnut returns to the spotlight with legal drama attached to his mustard belt. Joey apparently pleaded guilty to slapping a guy during a bar altercation, which somehow becomes less shocking once the crew starts imagining him assaulting someone with a hot dog. The gang also reacts to Joey setting a NEW world record by consuming 16 pounds of bologna in eight minutes — which is either athletic greatness or a cry for help. Maybe both. The episode somehow gets even weirder with conversations about AI juries replacing humans, Britney Spears offering cops homemade lasagna during a DUI stop, wisdom teeth horror stories, nitrous gas adventures, and King Scott accidentally discovering that tow truck companies can basically repossess your soul after 45 days. In this fun and animated episode of Backstage Pass with Gentry Thomas, comedy legend Cedric the Entertainer joins Gentry to talk about his new Netflix animated movie, Swapped. The film is a body-swap animated adventure featuring a stacked voice cast that includes Michael B. Jordan, Juno Temple, Tracy Morgan, Cedric the Entertainer, Justina Machado, and more. Watch Swapped on Netflix here: Netflix - Swapped Cedric talks about what it’s like stepping into the world of animation, how voice acting differs from live-action comedy, and the challenge of bringing a character to life using only your voice. He also reflects on the different animated projects he’s been part of throughout his career and why animation allows performers to stretch in a completely different way. Gentry and Cedric also have some fun with the movie’s body-swap concept, including who Cedric would swap bodies with if he could choose anyone, alive or dead. The conversation also dives into his hit CBS show The Neighborhood, his current work on Broadway, and how he continues to evolve as a performer across stand-up, television, film, animation, and theater. From Netflix animation to sitcom success and Broadway lights, this episode is full of laughs, wisdom, and classic Cedric charm.
