"Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" is a sitcom that aired from 2012 to 2013. The show follows the life of June (Dreama Walker), a Midwestern girl who moves to New York City for her dream job, only to have her life turned upside down when said job falls through. She finds herself living with Chloe (Krysten Ritter), a wild, con-artist who thrives on creating chaos and exploiting others for personal gain. The show also features James Van Der Beek, playing a fictionalized version of himself, who is Chloe's best friend and confidant. "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" received mixed reviews from critics and audiences. After two seasons the show was canceled due to scheduling issues and its niche appeal. The Lion King is a 1994 American animated musical drama film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The 32nd Disney animated feature film and the fifth produced during the Disney Renaissance, it is inspired by William Shakespeare's Hamlet with elements from the Biblical stories of Joseph and Moses and Disney's 1942 film Bambi. In 2006, Boston ska band Westbound Train played the Summer of Ska tour, followed by the Fall of Ska tour. Between the two tours, they played with Suburban Legends, Big D & The Kids Table, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Reel Big Fish and Streetlight Manifesto--all ska-punk bands. Westbound Train plays traditional ska, rocksteady and early reggae, with a hint of soul.The group, which formed in 2001 in Boston, has always been a ska band out of time. Not only did they form after the 90s ska boom, but they were often alone on an island, the only band on a bill playing overtly 60s-influenced ska. And somehow became one of the most popular US ska bands to form after the 90s. Now, the group just surprise-dropped their first record in 13 years, called Dedication. Lead singer Obi Fernandez sat down with us to talk about the new album and the band's history. We talk about their formation at Berklee College of Music and learn that one of their classmates, comedian Eric André roadied for the band (when he wasn't putting on strange shows at All Asia Bar.) Obi also tells us the influential role that country music plays on all Westbound Train songs. And he tells us how Bucket let him use The Toasters touring van to move to college. We also discuss their time on Warped tour 2009, how the Mighty Mighty Bosstones gave the group their first big shot, and how they rushed the recording of their sophomore album Five to Two in order to have something to show Tim Armstrong in hopes of getting signed to Hellcat (Which they did). Obi also tells us why the band ended shortly after that Warped Tour run when they were seemingly at the height of their popularity. He also tells us what it took to get the band back together again. Sing 2 is a 2021 American computer-animated jukebox musical comedy film written and directed by Garth Jennings, co-directed by Christophe Lourdelet, and stars the ensemble cast consisting of Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson, Taron Egerton, Tori Kelly, Nick Kroll, Jennings, Peter Serafinowicz, Jennifer Saunders, and Nick Offerman, reprising their roles from the first film. The sequel also features new characters voiced by Bobby Cannavale, Pharrell Williams, Halsey, Chelsea Peretti, Letitia Wright, Eric André, Adam Buxton, and Bono. Like the previous film, Sing 2 features songs from many artists, most of which are performed diegetically in that classic computer-animated jukebox musical comedy film style that we all know and love. The story is set after the events of the previous film, where Buster Moon (McConaughey) and his group put on a show in Redshore City (Las Vegas) while working to impress an entertainment mogul and enlist a reclusive rock star (Bono) to perform. Eric André is the host of the bizarre, surreal, insane 'The Eric André Show' on Adult Swim. His style of comedy can be described as erratic, insane, surreal, and, of course, utterly hilarious. André also stars in the series, 'Man Seeking Woman,' and was featured in the now-canceled 'Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23.' André stopped by Talk Easy at the end of a long day of press and gave what even he deemed, "the weirdest interview I've ever done in my life."
