Pope Francis, leader of the Catholic Church, died on Easter Monday. He was a controversial Pope, known his seemingly left-leaning positions on many issues. His successor will be chosen soon. WEF head, Klaus Schwab has resigned his position as leader of that organization. He leaves amidst accusations of improper use of organization funds, among other things. While China achieved strong economic growth in the post-Mao years by allowing free markets to work, the Communist leadership wants to return the economy to its old socialist ways. However, while the government can give fake growth numbers, it cannot reverse socialist failures. Narrated by Millian Quinteros.
China's so-called economic miracle is running into the ground as the reality of central planning becomes increasingly obvious and an economic reckoning looms. Narrated by Millian Quinteros.
Professional boxing poses risks of concussion-related brain trauma. Yet from “Rocky” to “Creed,” we see boxing persist as a cultural icon. Does boxing's value as a sport and the lifeline it can offer young people justify its dangers? On Vital Signs with Brendon Fallon, U.S.A. Boxing team physician Dr. Barry Jordan highlights the brain-trauma dangers that he's encountered in the sport. Dr. Jordan has 40 years experience in sports neurology. “In boxing, they say it's the punch you don't see. [For] soccer, it's the ball you don't see. If you don't see the ball coming, it may catch you off guard and it causes your head to move and that could cause a problem.” Antonio Graceffo, former professional boxer in Asia, now China economist, gives his first-hand accounts of boxing injury. “You'd see the punch coming. And you're so tired that you debate, ‘Would I rather let that punch hit me? Or would I rather move out of the way?'” Despite its brain health dangers, both experts have chosen to support boxing in their own capacities. What deeper value do they see in the sport, particularly for youth? How does the “rise from the ghetto” theme in movies like “Rocky” and “Creed” stand up to the reality for pro-boxer hopefuls? ⭕️ Watch in-depth videos based on Truth & Tradition at Epoch TV

Rising prices and falling currencies—the effects of inflation are hitting hard. But in this age of globalization, what role is the Chinese regime playing in U.S. inflation? And how is the Middle East involved? In this special report, we look at how players in different countries move across the global chessboard and how actions thousands of miles away are felt here at home. Joining us to shed light on this topic are Antonio Graceffo, a China economic analyst, and Aryeh Lightstone, former special envoy for the Abraham Accords and author of “Let My People Know.” ⭕️Watch in-depth videos based on Truth & Tradition at Epoch TV
In this special episode, we sat down with China economic analyst Antonio Graceffo. He talks about the current inflation, if China is involved, and how China's economic outlook would be felt by U.S. consumers. Graceffo said: “First of all, if we have supply chain disruption, this increases the price of goods. And of course, we import a tremendous number of our goods, or percentage of our goods, from China. So anything that's been disrupted, of course, the price is going go up. One of the things a lot of people miss with China is that they look at the trade between the United States and China in finished goods and finished services. But what they forget is that China does a lot of processing. So a lot of minerals and raw materials that are extracted, maybe from Africa or Latin America or elsewhere, and even from the United States—there are minerals we extract here that we send to China for processing—so if the zero-COVID policies are shutting down those processing plants, or the shipping and things like that, it drives up the prices of those things. And it's not just finished products, it's also what we call ‘inputs.' So you might have components that are made in China. Even goods that you typically believe are made in America might have components from China.” He added: “We'll definitely feel it in terms of higher prices. Inflation though, but people are mistaking higher prices with inflation, and it's not exactly the case. The higher prices because of the supply chain disruption, yes, but the inflation is caused by reckless spending on the pandemic and the pandemic spending. Inflation comes from the government printing money or the government borrowing money and spending money that it doesn't have.” We also sat down with Aryeh Lightstone, former special envoy for the Abraham Accords and author of “Let My People Know.” He touches on how U.S.–Middle East relations tie into the current fossil fuel tensions, the steps that need to be taken to ensure American troops aren't sent back there, and more. Lightstone said: “Clarity is the number one name of the game. And to be clear, who are our foes? And that's Iran, and that's China, and that's Russia. And you can stand with them, or you can stand with us. Now, who are our allies? That's Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and others. And we'll stand with them. Two very clear examples to that: when Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, sustained a drone attack from terrorists funded by the Iranians, we, the United States of America, did not rush to condemn the attacks, we didn't rush to provide aid, we didn't rush to provide additional defensive alignment. We waited, and we listened. That's not how allies treat each other. When the Saudis received relentless drone attacks against civilians and against the number one energy producer in the world, Aramco, and we're not doing more in order to prevent that from happening—in fact, we're taking the Houthis, who are in Yemen, who are primarily responsible for those drone attacks off of the terror watch list or off the terror list, not only are we not helping our allies, we're actively hurting our allies.” “And when our allies get mixed messages, they have to act in their own best interest. None of these guys, none of these countries want to run to the Chinese. They don't want to run to Russia, they don't want to run to Iran. But if we're not there and we're not dependable, where are they going to go?” he added. ⭕️Watch in-depth videos based on Truth & Tradition at Epoch TV
While China may initially have planned to help Moscow offset the effect of Western sanctions, Beijing has now shifted gears after seeing its devastating impact on Russia's economy, according to China analyst Antonio Graceffo. https://ept.ms/3wyLFRY
Will China help Russia through sanctions? Can China afford to help Russia? Is China's new digital yuan or similar workarounds capable of empowering Russia to evade global sanctions? What are their possible limitations? Today we sit down with Dr. Antonio Graceffo, China analyst, author, and professor of Economics, to talk about the economic impacts of the sanctions on Russia and to what extent China can help Russia through the global siege. We also talk about the prospect of China and Russia becoming evermore isolated, politically and economically, as the Ukraine crisis drags on, and how now might just be the right time to decouple from the authoritarian powers.

On this edition of No Holds Barred, host Eddie Goldman once again spoke with the writer, author, professor, and wrestler, Antonio Graceffo. We spoke with him by phone Saturday, August 21. Antonio Graceffo was born in Brooklyn, raised in Tennessee, and has been living for many years in Asia -- hence his moniker, the "Brooklyn Monk". He is currently located in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, where he teaches, writes, and wrestles. In Mongolia, wrestling is a major sport in which many boys train and compete from a young age. The main style of Mongolian wrestling is known as Bokh. It is one of the main sports at the annual Nadaam festival. Since the 13th century and the days of Genghis Khan, the Nadaam festival has featured wrestling, archery, and horse racing. Although the coronavirus pandemic forced the festival to be cancelled this year, it is normally held each year in mid-July. "The first official Nadaam was inaugurated by Genghis Khan himself," said Antonio Graceffo. "Each year when they celebrate Nadaam, it is not only the first anniversary of the first Nadaam, but it's also the anniversary of the foundation of the Mongolian empire." While the main festivities are held in Ulaanbaatar, there are many local Nadaam festivals. "Simultaneously, there are Nadaams happening in every province and every district of the country," he said. "So arguably, Nadaam is the largest wrestling competition in the world, if we were to take all the Nadaams together across the whole country of Mongolia." We discussed the long history of Mongolian wrestling, the rules of Bokh, why many Mongolians like Asashoryu and Hakuho have dominated Japanese sumo for many years, how urbanization and globalization are affecting Bokh with its rural roots, the growing challenges faced by Mongolian and many other indigenous styles of wrestling in today's sports and media environment, and much, much more. According to legend one of the most revered styles of martial arts was invented by a Shaolin Nun named Ng Mui. She was one of five survivors of a battle with the Chin Empire who had outlawed the practice of Kung Fu and attacked the Fu Shan Shaolin temple where Ng Mui lived. After her travels through China she ran into a young woman who was being forced into marriage to an officer of the Chin army. She didn't want to marry this tyrant but the officer said if she did not marry him, he would kill her father and wed her anyway. The Shaolin Nun Ng Mui took the girl up to the nearest temple and taught her a totally different type of martial art one that was meant for a young girl her size, a smarter way of fighting with short fast movements using the snake and the crane as inspiration. In 9 months the girl was ready. The Shaolin Nun Ng Mui spoke to the officer and told him that if he beat her in a fight she would marry him. He laughed and of course agreed to the fight. When the fight came, the officer was unquestionably defeated after which he left the area and left the Young Girl named Wing Chun alone. The Young Yim Wing Chun Continued her training and became a legend for her great fighting skills, after many generations within her family, the style of Kung Fu was past on to Chan Wah the money changer and then to Yip Man who in turn passed it on to the rest of the world. Welcome to maLineage.com. The best place on the internet to find information about the lineage of any style of martial arts and learn about your favorite martial arts legends and celebrities. And welcome to the martial arts lineage podcast. This is episode 1. My name is Tim Johnson and I'll be hosting interviews with martial arts masters and instructors from across the country and around the globe. Martial arts has been a huge part of my life for almost 20 years now; I've studied and taught several styles of karate, kung fu, and capoeira and I've found something in each style to relate to so many other aspects of life. In an effort to broaden my knowledge of martial arts history, I've developed this site, maLineage.com, dedicated to capturing and preserving the history of all styles of martial arts. You can follow the lineage tree of any martial artist in the database and read stories, legends, timelines and quotes from every person in the database. That means that eventually, every martial artist in the world could have their own page that outlines their complete lineage and their impact on the world of martial arts. And if you study martial arts, that includes you. You can sign up with a free account now to create a page of your own and incorporate yourself into the massive lineage tree. And furthermore, you can go to other people's pages and share experiences you've had, stories, quotes and other information about your martial arts colleagues. I've been working to build an accurate historical lineage tree of all styles of martial arts as far back in history as possible. I've got a long ways to go, which is why I need your help, but so far I've added hundreds of people like Ueshiba, Miyamoto Musashi, Ip Man, etc. etc. including the founders of as many styles as I've been able to find. I believe that modern martial artists, especially us here in the western world, can learn a lot from the philosophies and ideals of the ancient masters who originally developed martial arts. To look into the minds of the creators, to read stories of the development and influences of these arts, and to draw parallels between ancient martial philosophies of all types and your own life is truly revealing of the meaning of martial arts. I'm so excited about this podcast and I have a lot of interviews lined up with martial arts masters and instructors from all around world that any martial arts enthusiast will definitely enjoy. So join me as I speak candidly with martial arts masters of many different styles about the history and development of the arts and how the art continues to develop today. you can look forward to interviews with Shihan Dana Abbott, Japanese sword master, Antonio Graceffo, living in Southeast Asia as a martial arts anthropologist, Master Spencer Gee, a weapons master from New York, and many more. All of these people have dedicated their lives to martial arts and are constantly striving to spread their beliefs throughout the world to create what I believed to be a better human race. Martial arts as a whole as well as any physical activity is healthy both physically and mentally which is why I won't be focusing on one particular style of martial arts. I think if you ask any accomplished martial artist they will tell you that no one style is better than any other style; they're all for your own personal benefit. I've already recorded a handful of interviews now and it's been a blast talking to all these different people. They've been so willing to share their insight and experiences and I can't wait to share them with all of you. Like I said, my motivation for creating this podcast is to learn as much as I can about martial arts and of course share that information with you, but I'd also love to get feedback from anyone out there listening who might have questions they want me to ask or people you want me to interview. I'd love to hear what you like or don't like about the show so please, if you have any suggestions, go to maLineage.com and click on "Contact" at the bottom of the page where you can send a message to me directly and tell me anything you want about the podcast or the website. I want this to be something everyone can enjoy. I won't take up any more of your time, I just wanted to use episode 1 to say hello and introduce myself. Check out the next episode for an interview with Guro/Grandmaster Peter Freedman, who's trained air marshalls, special forces and hundreds of troubled youths in the city of Boston, which earned him a Lifetime Achievement award in 1989 from the Mayor of Boston. It's a great interview and I hope any martial artist will really get a lot out of all these interviews. So enjoy the shows, go check out the brand new website maLineage.com which was just launched on April 20 of 2011, make sure to leave some feedback, and sign up for a free account to become a part of martial arts history. Sometimes you will have an odd number of students. What could you possibly do in that instance?” “That is a difficult problem.” Answers Antonio, “one that I have never encountered in 26 semesters of working as a school teacher. If that happened, I would probably just commit ritualistic suicide.” Brooklyn Monk, Antonio Graceffo is a martial arts and adventure author living in Asia. Doing movies and TV is such a quick way to fame and fortune that the producers hold all of the cards. As a struggling up-and-comer Antonio is no position to say NO, or even to negotiate most of the time. When C3PO played hologram chess with Chewbaka he learned that fair or not fair, if he won, the Wookie would just rip his arms out of their sockets. So, he let Chewbaka win the game. Trying to get on TV is a similar experience. TV is a Wookie and I am C3PO. Brooklyn Monk, Antonio Graceffo is a martial arts and adventure author living in Asia. Antonio Graceffo continues to be amazed by his roommate, Mashooq. Back in his village, Mashooq probably equated being in possession of many goats to being popular with the ladies. If he was flying to America and customs officials seized his goats he would be thinking, “Oh, great! Now, how can I get married?” he will strike out with countless women at discos in Manhattan thinking, “If I only had my goats.” Brooklyn Monk, Antonio Graceffo is a martial arts and adventure author living in Asia. When he was 21 years old, Antonio Graceffo got a part in the Chuck Norris movie, Delta Force 2. At the time, he believed it was his huge break, which would lead to super stardom. Instead, it would be more than a decade until he had a part in a movie again. Based on that movie, no one ever asked him to sign an autograph, and Kenner never made an Antonio Graceffo Delta Force action figure. Working on the Chuck Norris film was an impact-full and hilarious experience which, like so many of Antonio’s significant life-moments, meant a lot to Antonio but neither Chuck nor anyone else will remember. The experience spawned the story, Chuck Norris Doesn’t Know my Name” Which Antonio has recently released as a PDF e-book (e-story) on his website http://speakingadventure.com/chuck-norris This podcast is composed of a few outtakes from the longer story. In addition to making laugh at and pity Antonio, it will leave you wondering: Does the hero ever earn the money for his sister’s dowry, so she can marry? Do they ever catch the murder? Is the DNA evidence enough to get a conviction? If any of these questions is bothering you, you will need to find the answers somewhere else.
