Add up a corrupt admissions system, a corrupt DEI industry, a corrupt therapeutic curriculum, a corrupt method of grading and a corrupt, politicized faculty, and it's no wonder the Ivy League is in crisis and higher education is in panic. Harvard, with the help of the state of Massachusetts, whose Democrat governor is an alumnus, hopes to issue $675 million in tax-exempt bonds as applications took a 21% dive for the 2025-26 academic year, according to the Washington Free Beacon. This, coupled with rising. “grade inflation”—more and more professors giving out A's to unqualified students—has many asking right now: Are America's preeminent institutions of higher learning still worth their salt? Probably not, argues Victor Davis Hanson on today's edition of “Victor Davis Hanson: In a Few Words.” By that I mean, I went to a rural high school. It wasn't that competitive, Selma High School. They would just say, “If Victor Hanson applies to Harvard, and he has an A, it's the same A as somebody from Sacred Heart Prep School in Palo Alto, where the curriculum was much more difficult.” And they did that, and the result was they had students who could not do the work, and the faculty was confronted with the dilemma. They either had to water down the curriculum. Or they had to introduce new therapeutic courses, or they had to give 60% or 70% of the people A's, and they could do all three at the same time, which they did.

On Thursday's Mark Levin Show,  the FBI is actively investigating Joe Kent for allegedly leaking classified information, including allegedly sharing secret details with figures like Tucker Carlson and leaking from a government server to a media contact. Will Carlson publicly deny receiving classified information from Kent or texting with Iranian regime contacts? Later, Iran's pursuit of weapons-grade uranium, 22,000 pounds which is far beyond what's needed for heating homes, is clearly for nuclear weapons development. We should be celebrating that the enemy is losing, instead the Democrats complain and call it a war of choice. Also, Washington Free Beacon reporter Jon Levine calls in and discuss his story on NYC's Mayor Zohran Mamdani's wife, Ruma Duwaji. Levine reports that old social media posts from her Tumblr account around 2017, when she was about 20, show her sharing images and quotes from Palestinian terrorists, including plane hijacker Leila Khaled with her paraphrase of a quote about dying for the cause, as well as content honoring a bomb-maker killed while making explosives and celebrating Palestinian tourists on International Women's Day.  Afterward, who has contributed more to America's wealth and job creation—Bernie Sanders or Elon Musk? Musk has created over a hundred thousand jobs, providing paychecks, health care, and pensions. Musk's wealth does not take from anyone, unlike government taxes paid to Uncle Sam.  Finally, Sen Jim Banks calls in and praises Trump's handling of Operation Epic Fury, describing it as one of the most successful and sophisticated military operations in history. On Friday's Mark Levin Show, the Supreme Court majority issued a very messy and problematic decision on tariffs. The fact is the majority agreed on an outcome but not so much on the reasoning for the outcome. It struck tariffs under a single statute, yet created chaos or, actually, left it to the president to decide if and/or how to treat the revenue those tariffs already created for the federal Treasury. The question is not who has the power to tax per se, but a more complicated question about where the separation of powers is. The majority, apparently, chose to duck the question and stick with the indirect tax characterization and focus on a single statute, which is outrageous. Also, Tucker Carlson is an indecent grifter with inexplicable ties to Qatar and an attraction to the Third Reich. He is gravely damaging the Republican Party, the midterm elections, and the Trump administration. Later, Jon Levine of the Washington Free Beacon calls in to explain that NYC Mayor Mamdani is fulfilling his campaign promises by staffing his administration with individuals from radical Islamist and far-left progressive circles, united by a shared hatred of the West and Jews. Blame it on American individualism or a political aversion to regulation, but the United States has become a striking outlier in its failure to regulate the assisted reproductive technology industry. As a result, individuals from other countries have begun engaging in quasi–birth tourism through American surrogacy contracts, and not in small numbers. Chinese billionaire Xu Bo, for example, has reportedly fathered more than 100 American children through surrogacy and has been involved in legal battles over custody, describing them as part of his “business legacy". Beyond clear international abuses of U.S. surrogacy laws, there are also numerous domestic practices that warrant greater oversight and protection. The central question is why? What do they want these children for? Who, if anyone, is regulating these contracts? Wednesday morning Alana Goodman of the Washington Free Beacon reported that a gentleman named Pin Ni, who is a US-based executive with luxury electric car maker KARMA Automotive gave $50,000 over two contributions to the gubernatorial campaign of former CIA officer Abigail Spanberger. Ni, more troubling, listed as a member of the Chinese Communist Party.  US Election law prohibits campaign contributions from foreign nationals, and the Chinese government insists that you renounce your Citizenship in order to qualify for US dual citizenship. So, one or the other must be true. For Spanberger, a big contribution from an Electric Vehicle manufacturer that would certainly have an interest in making sure that the Virginia Clean Economy Act doesn't get change or go away is problematic. Doubly ironic given the amount of angst that was expressed by the Democratic party leadership in 2021 about Glenn Youngkin's extensive business ties having been CEO of the Carlyse Group before being elected Governor. However, that isn't nearly the crime that accepting a political donation from a foreign national would be. The Beacon story says that Ni sits on the board of directors for the Wanxiang Group, which he founded in 1994. The company's 2025 annual report says that Ni had "been recognized" as an "Outstanding Communist Party Member of the Group" 15 times. Spanberger needs to address this but without any debates scheduled, Earle-Sears may not get a direct chance so it's up to the Virginia press corps. Before the story came out the Daily Signal spoke with Republican Party of Virginia Chair, State Senator Mark Peake about President Trump's statements regarding endorsing Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears in her race against Spanberger and her unwillingness to debate and that is the podcast you are about to listen to.
