"A Surprisingly Simple Method for Getting Out of Your Own Way" is the tag line for the Taming Your Gremlin book by Rick Carson.  It was in 2013, 2 years recovered from the "act" of bulimia that I was introduced to his book through a coaching program I was taking through Handwriting University called the PRISM Life Redesign Program designed by Bart Baggett, the Founder.  He explained to me his mother convinced him this book would be valuable.  I agree.  As a recovered bulimic after 30 years, (now going on 12 years recovered) Rick's book was what I needed to address the "final" steps towards recovery and the steps towards self-awareness, moving forward, and "noticing".When I contacted Rick to ask him to be on my Podcast (I do have two so we did manage to share Rick's message to both), he agreed, feeling that Bleep Bulimia listeners would find value in his message, and I was so thrilled. What life does not always meet your expectations? And sometimes it's quite the opposite. So Bart, you know, in the Amazon business, we talk a lot about what you do when your Amazon account gets suspended? And how do you deal with that? Because there are millions of people all over the world who put so much love and so much work and so much effort into building Amazon businesses. And then one day, all of a sudden, it's gone. And their account is suspended. So let's back up a little bit. And I actually wanted to talk to you about something today, Bart, and I don't think you're going to like this, but yeah, you know, unfortunately, account? Yeah, unfortunately, Bart, I can't be your friend anymore. And, you know, I have to tell you, you violated our terms of friendship. And unfortunately, we can't be friends anymore. I didn't even know we had terms of friendship. Was that like on a secret page somewhere? I don't remember that handshake. So that's a really good question. Unfortunately, because you violated our terms of friendship, I can no longer talk to you. And if you continue to talk to me, I will have to cancel this call.   But I need to talk to you about why as canceled, there must have been some mistake like can I just call you and talk about diva customer service? I am sorry, sir, please refer to our terms of friendship. And if you continue this conversation, I will have to cancel the call and cancel the conversation.  I put seven years into this friendship. You can't just like not tell me why you're breaking up. I am sorry. Our terms of service are very clear. And unfortunately, all our findings are final. So of course, Bart, I am joking. But that is exactly how it works in web 3.0. So at the beginning of the internet, these things wouldn't happen much. It was the Wild West. And then we had web 2.0, where the platform started to realize that they need some form of regulation. Otherwise, they're going to be liable for all their patrons, consumers, whatever you call it, subscribers, evil deeds, so they started to clamp down. Now, web 3.0 is something that we discovered sometimes I think around 2010, which was shocking, particularly on the Amazon platform. Now, as we're sitting here, I have a LinkedIn account that's been banned, and it was the most hilarious message that they sent us. Dear Sir, your account has been canceled. For violation of Terms of Service and mind you the LinkedIn Terms of Service, I don't know if anybody reads the terms of service. But there are hundreds of pages long and illegal leads. I don't think you know, but when you open up a Facebook account, LinkedIn, who reads the terms of service. So somewhere in those hundreds of pages, there's something that you have violated. Now it's exactly like the conversation that we just had. Where they will send you a message saying, you know, they have soft suspension. So Amazon does the same thing. They're soft suspensions where they say your account has been canceled. If you feel this was an error, please reach out to customer service, they don't give you a phone number, there's nobody to call, there is no email, and you have to figure out how to get a hold of them. Every day entrepreneurs at all levels question their self-worth and confidence. In this episode serial entrepreneur and millionaire mentor, Shaahin Cheyene and his co-host, transformational coach Bart Baggett talks about "Hacking Self Worth and Self Confidence."   We don't have 103 episodes yet, but we're calling them that I have with me today is my co-host, Bart Baggett, who in general is just an awesome dude. But I like Bart in particular because he is one of the few people I know who's really actually self-reflective. And that's one of the things that impressed me about Bart, most, you know, he coaches people at very high levels, you know, people that are already millionaires, and you know, a couple of billionaires, and he coaches them with his success tactics and kind of his different systems. But I've always been very impressed about how self-reflective Bart is. So welcome, Bart, good to see you. Shaahin. That's a nice compliment. Thank you so much, I feel the same way about you. When you talk to successful people. Sometimes there's a lot of bravado and ego. And, and that's annoying to me. And I've never found you that way at all, despite your tremendous success. I think when I finally got good at comedy is when I began to be a little more vulnerable, and more self-reflective on stage, including, you know, I've been doing seminars since I was 19. But I didn't do comedy for a while. So that's a very good comment. And today's topic I love, I love what you came up with today, hacking, self-confidence. And I love that so much. Because that is one of the reasons I do, what I do is somebody gave me a hack when I was 14, I'll get to it later. And it literally changed my self-esteem and changed my confidence. And so if you stick around the show, we're going to go through both of our favorite hacks that can help you and your kids and your family to have more self-confidence will help you hack and Grow Rich, I guess so.   Right now you're doing one thing? Like, if I was the waiter at that restaurant, I would know it. Did you get 20 menu items, I would know every single thing in there. And when you asked me I would tell you if I didn't know, I'd say, sir, that's a great question. Let me go ask the chef and come back.   Competence brings about confidence, in my opinion. So again, I think I did a great job tonight of not answering your question.   So sorry, to tell you what I perceive it and, and perhaps its because I've done the psychology of handwriting, so long, there happen to be these distinctions within that, that science. And so it kind of I kind of thought about it this way. And one of the things that I found a lot of people get confused with is vanity and pride. And they confuse that with ego. And then I say with the word ego, he will go oh, I don't want to be egotistical, that's a bad word. Yet ego is also the same thing as confidence, personal space, I'm going to come in the room, you know, I'm here, I'm gonna get on stage. You know, that's a wonderful thing, unless it becomes arrogance. And then people find that kind of annoying sometimes. And so for me, there are really three, four areas that are distinguishable different. Hack & Grow Rich Episode 102: Transformational Experience Hack and Grow Rich Episode 102: Transformational Experience   In this episode serial entrepreneur and millionaire mentor, Shaahin Cheyene and his co-host a transformational coach, and forensic handwriting analysis, Bart Baggett talk about "Transformational Experiences in life".   I feel that that transformative experience has to be followed by a period of self-reflection, a period of retrospective reflection, that then will lead to an epiphany and a change.   For me, the first experience that I had was with meeting my first mentor, and before that was deciding to leave home and getting thrown, into the world with little or no experience about how the world works. That was my first one where I was like, holy, you know what, my life has just changed. I've got no stability, right? So the trauma of that. The fact that that shook me up Bart, really was, incredibly impactful.   The second step was meeting the sky, I met a mentor and I talked about this in my book Billion, how I became the king of the thrill podcast that comes up. And this guy had a transformative experience several times in the 60s and had become a leader in the civil rights movements. He had sued the government by himself and won. He was an incredible human being. And just being under his influence, for a period of time, was the second transformative experience for me, that changed the trajectory of my life.   You look at kids growing up in LA. Ronnie and kids growing up in LA, right, what do they do? Right? They went to school, they got married, they became a dentist, they became a doctor, you know what I mean? It's that beat. And if something doesn't happen, some transformation happens. something super impactful. Then, you follow that trajectory. We are not unique, like snowflakes, we are pretty freak in much the same. And every single one follows that trajectory, Bart, unless something happens now you can seek out transformative experiences, which is what Koch talks about, as one of his landmarks. You know, he talks about a number of landmarks. One is having unreasonable self-confidence, just this self-belief that's unshakable, which I believe I had, rightfully or wrongfully. So I just knew that I couldn't fail, mainly because I didn't know that I could fail. But in addition to that, it was this transformation, this experience.   Now that happens with a lot of people with travel, like, I'm sure the first time you went to India, that must just in and of itself, the first time seeing India must have been a transformational experience for you. Episode 101: Synchronicity and it's Side Effects.   In this episode serial entrepreneur and millionaire mentor, Shaahin Cheyene and his co-host a transformational coach, and forensic handwriting analysis, Bart Baggett talk about "The concept of luck, and the side effect of it"   One of the things I wanted to talk to you about today was the concept of luck. I think both you and I have been very fortunate in our lives, and we've had a lot of opportunities that we have either forged or that have come our way. That's been a part of synchronicities that we've been involved in. Just our meeting was part of pretty interesting synchronicity. And one of the things that I was thinking about the other day, Bart, is what is luck? Is luck just a roll of the dice? The cards we dealt when we were born? Is there some component that's just in the air? Or is it something else? Is it something that we can go out there and affect, or something that we've been affecting from day one?   When we talk about luck in the fact that we're financially successful, or people get lucky with an idea or timing, or just lucky to be born in a free country. Because I visited a friend of mine recently and she reminded me that she and her family escaped from Cambodia 35 years ago on a boat, on a dinghy, and came to America and didn't speak English. She wakes up every day grateful just to be in America and not being shot at. So that kind of perspective is humbling for the rest of us that were born here and went to an average middle-class school, and a lot of my friends from high school had pretty struggling lives like second divorces, working at Chili's, like they're just doing that thing. I just thought, What's the most outlandish thing I can think of? And let me go do that and I wasn't afraid to fail. And I did it over and over and again, and I kept getting up and getting kicked over and getting up. I think there's a little bit of luck. I think the definition most people use, at least in the self-help community, is luck is preparedness meets opportunity. And as an example, when I had an opportunity, I screwed it up. When I was 21. I published my first book, and this is back in 1987 or 1991. And I got a guy sitting in my living room, my dad, he goes, Hey! we could do this thing called an infomercial. And this was at the same time at Tony Robbins running infomercials, and I turned it down. I was 21 and didn't know what it was, I was so young and I didn't understand it. What was I thinking? It was an opportunity, but was I ready? Maybe not, but I think I could have been ready. But you know what, those come and go, and if you don't jump on that train, you just don't know. I was kicking myself and I did Okay in the end, but it was interesting because sometimes opportunities knock on the door, and you don't even see it. And years later, you're like, oh man! I could have done that.   What if luck was directly related to risk? So Nassim Taleb in his book, ¨Black Swan¨, talks about successful people and how their level of success is directly linked to the amount of risk that they take. So if you look at somebody who's employed at a lower-level position, his risk is minimal so he's guaranteed a paycheck. Whereas the guy that owns the company might not get a paycheck ever, so his risk is maximum.
