Bleep Bulimia Episode #123 with Tim Thomas, A MAN Who's Passionate About Your Sleep

Play Episode Listen Later Apr 28, 2025 63:29

Send us a textTim Thomas is the man who is passionate about sleep!  Tim likes candles to create a space because two people speaking in it brings healing.  We shared the story of my cow that Dad had gifted me.  I bought a new one and I travel with it.  And Tim asked me where I felt this.  I showed it to be in my heart.  He said it creates balance.   As long as it's not like a "Wilson" , per se. (The movie Cast Away). So to sleep.  Speaking to how bulimia was a problem for me to have a peaceful sleep.  Tim shares that he said he couldn't sleep and they "threw a pharmacy at him".  He lost a lot of memories with the pharmaceuticals, and he shares that there is no one who can share how to get off of them.Simple breath work changes your brain work.   Not meditation, breath work.He spoke about messing up the enemy's sleep when he was in Afghanistan.  "If you want to destroy someone, destroy their sleep.  If you care, care about their sleep."  Sleep is like the soil of a tree.Tim sits in a place that is just behind all the things you really want - all the energy you ever want.Tim shares that he is two people.  The one with a lack of sleep - not so nice, and the other person who gets enough sleep well - nicer, doesn't eat as much, and stronger for investing in "this vessel".Tim is a breath worker.  He shares this with others.  It is what helps you become stronger and empowered.  Tim offers his app to people who struggle with sleeping, which helps with this breath chemical override.  He has breathwork at night and breathwork when waking up in the morning.Interesting that I spoke to my anxiety and did not know why.  Tim explained that I am high stimuli, so a stand-up desk with a stepper or something to keep me moving would help.  Being upright, or on a treadmill, would help with my anxiety.  It would help with my anxious energy.  So Tim shared the experience of breath with me and my listeners, and I said "I do" three times.  I never thought I would say "I do again" after my first marriage. :)  But this was worth it.  Saying "I do" to my own self three times.  I hope my listeners do this exercise.  It was very enlightening. We are electrical energy.  Hunching over pinches off our nerves and energy supply.  This I know and am aware of; however, on a daily basis, I forget, become aware, and forget again. The breath of possibility - hold on to it and bring it on.  Turbo buttons are your index and middle fingers pressing against your thumbs and work as a circuit breaker.  Breaks the rumination (over thinking) by using this and breath.Breath of Peace is where you need to be in a safe place.  You do the same breath techniques, but you wriggle it.  Interesting that Tim said our tension is often what we feel supports us.  Breath and relaxation with a chair, will allow your support. One thing to change your life and sleep - check this out.And then...  Tim shared with us how to find his app and contact him. Here is his email to me to help you find him. :)These links are for immediate and natural sleep improvement; They're my company's online resource called - The ‘Breathwork in Bed' app. The app will guide you to sleep with peace and out of bed with power. What's more is that we are currently GIVING AWAY 28 days free sleep. Bleep Bulimia Podcast #122 with Kat Daou Family Constellation Facilitator and Host of the Heal With Kat Podcast

Send us a textI can't tell you what a revealing Podcast this was.  Kat is wonderful.   Great guest.I was intrigued.  What is a Family Constellation Facilitator?  Who is this host of Healing with Kat?  Who may speak to my intrigue about past lives and future lives?  Healing when you have an eating disorder, or any disorder, is important to find a good person to help you, and you need a person who resonates with your belief in how you can overcome bulimia. This "future" and "past" self was interesting, because although I am always questioning my beliefs and thoughts of what is real and true and unexplainable, I met my ex-husband at 18 on my birthday, and went and told my friend I met my future husband.  7 years later, we were married.  15 years after that, we were divorced, and with 3 children.  I never ever thought I would marry, have kids.  I wanted to be single my whole life.  I am single now, and no regrets for what-ifs.  And I literally married that guy, I said was my future husband.  And a fun fact.  When I first saw him, it was like I had known him my whole life.  Or another life?  I always wondered. This is where I love Kat, because it was interesting to speak to the future self.  Kat also talks about the mom's wounds and the dad's wounds.  That is so my next podcast with her, because although my Podcast is hoping to help my listeners recover, I believe some of these issues are a part of our bulimic relationship with food.  Sounds strange, right?  A relationship with bulimia?   Not at all.  Bulimia can become our friend, and anything that is outside in the world that is real pain.  Food is not real pain, it's a kind of pain, except like anything else that is a "crutch" to go to.  It can pain you from being around people, knowing yourself, and your worth.I believe in what Kat is doing.  I am still not sure about my past self, but future self 100%, yet it has intrigued me for my whole life.  Why would I meet someone and say I will marry him with no idea?  My future self.  I believe that.  My future self also knew he would want me to go.  Dreams tell you that, too.  It wasn't all him... nor me... it was meant to be, and I could see it.  My future self was telling that... and to that I love what Kat believes in.  I believe too.  I also speak to my younger self, and she keeps asking me why we didn't make it as a movie star.  I tell her we came as close as possible and in a better way... I do videos every day for my Clients before they arrive for their vehicle.  I show the vehicle inside and out.  And I am thanked every day for little nothing thank you videos.  This is the answer.  We ARE mini movie stars every day.  Nothing has to be big to be beautiful.Kat, thank you so much for looking over my life, like you will do with everyone else.  Seriously, thank you.  I believe in you.I had to share my experience to make you understand, listeners, that you may not be sure.  I am.  My future self, I believe in.  She is there today and listen to her.  Kat can help you do that.Let Kat find yours.  Yes, past too, but fun fact is anyone who is intuitive like Kat will tell you, and she will teach you, how to reach out to your future self.  I absolutely believe.  :) With all my heart.I highly recommend you reach out to Kat at https://www.katdaou.com/Support the show

She writes for Psychology Today and has been featured on radio, television, and podcasts. Her first book, Unkind Mind, comes out June 1 by New Harbinger Publications. She is trained in Cognitive-Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral therapies, and has treated clients of various ages and presentations. Betsy received her doctorate, master's, and B.A. in Psychology from Duke University. It was a joy to have her on as a guest and learn about DMN and CEN.  CEN - Central Executive Network.  And the DMN is the Default Mode Network.  Are you intrigued?  I was.  In the days that followed this podcast, I was more aware of the DMN.  I am an overthinker.  She will reveal the difference in this Podcast.I love that Dr. Betsy brings up that an eating disorder, and so too alcoholism, or any addiction, is a "coping mechanism".  She didn't minimize this as just a problem. She clearly states that it is a "coping mechanism", without any judgment, yet with a solution.   I highly recommend you learn more about her and her book, which will be available starting June 1st, by visiting https://betsyholmberg.com/.  And you can pre-order!  I already did.  Available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. The Unkind Mind.  What a great title.  Thank you, Dr. Betsy, for your time and for sharing your stories, your achievements, and your purpose from someone who overthinks even after recovering from bulimia.  This was truly insightful.Links:https://betsyholmberg.com/Unkind Mind Support the show

Send us a textI am so pleased that Ana Escobar joined me to speak about relationships with people who have bulimia.  Both sides.  Our process of being with someone while being bulimic, and our partner's reaction.  I loved that Ana speaks about how it is difficult for someone you are with to understand bulimia and the relationship with food if they don't have that issue. There has to be an understanding on the bulimic's side that some people in a relationship do not want to deal with it.  They will accept you without wanting to be a part of it.Ana speaks about coming out of a divorce.  About letting go and that there are better things that will come out of it.Ana works not only with bulimics and people with eating disorders, and she also works with people about relationships, so this was a key topic for her to share with us.She said there are two things.  You work together in a partnership with the eating disorder, or you understand that you have to deal with it on your own.  Someone willing to want to work with you, it's because they have the time.  However, a person who doesn't have a fear of food may not be able to participate in the healing process.  At that point in your life, you have to decide.  Ir is not that they don't love you.  But do you want to stay with someone who doesn't want to participate or someone who is sympathetic and caring enough to take the time to be there for you?It is a very difficult position for someone to find out that their partner has bulimia.  It is a very difficult position for someone with bulimia or with an eating disorder to feel that there are no emotions from their partner about it.Please share if you feel that your partner should be supportive or allow them to be non-emotional about it and let you deal with it on your own.  Thoughts?  You can share them by sending an email to bleepbulimia@gmail.com.If you want to be a guest and speak to this, please also let me know.I thank Ana so much for her time and her message of not blaming someone for not supporting you.  It's a choice for your partner.  It's a choice for you.Ana was candid too about relationships... live for the day.  You never know how long you will be with someone.  Marriage reflects being with someone for life, but it is not always so.  Without expectations, life is a better way to live.  It removes the suffering, and pain from you.  Goals are important, but expectations are a different thing.  There is a difference.Ana has great messages.  You can find her by going to @themagicinhealing on Instagram.  She provides a first consultation for free.Thank you, Ana.  What you are doing is wonderful.  Thanks for sharing your story and helping people.  Buzzsprout - Let's get your podcast launched!Start for FREEBE A GUEST/FIND A GUEST Start for Free!PODMATCH is innovative, provides easy communication and dashboard scheduling! Send us a Text Message. What a great conversation with Clint!  I learned so much.  I always do, but this was different.  There is no tougher job than being a teacher, he says.  I agree.  Yet what was really compelling was the fact that he mentioned teachers are not taught to deal with children with mental health issues.  They are not taught to be mental health communicators.  So true. This became his passion and his reason for becoming a Mental Health educator.  Not just that.  A Master Mental Health Educator.  His own loss of his brother to an overdose of fentanyl gave me goose bumps.  I had a niece that they said it was an accidental overdose.  23 years old.  That year I had 3 friends lose their brother, cousin, and sister lose their lives along with my niece.  2020.  He uses amazing words in this very compelling podcast, including his definition of HALT.  This is very much something everyone, and Bulimics struggling should be aware of.  Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired.  Feeling any one of these?  They will trigger an addiction.  Expressing emotion without fear is another difficult thing to do, and that is where we need to focus on is it though?I love his explanation about the left brain and the right brain.  Ongoing trauma lives in the right brain.  Listen to hear about this and the ability to express emotions without fear of punishment.  Can you relate?  I can.Although Clint is focused on teenagers and young adults, he is right.  And I agreed.  Reaching out to adults too is important—adults who have experienced what he speaks about and never reached out for help.  It's never too late.Treatable Podcast and Sandstonecare.com.  Link below. To reach out to Clint please go to https://www.sandstonecare.com/blog/real-common-treatable-podcast/More about Clint Mally:With a Master's In Teaching and hundreds of hours of interviewing expert mental health professionals, Clint is highly skilled at breaking complex mental health topics into simple everyday language.Clint is the Director of Communications at Sandstone Care, a leading teen and young adult mental health and addiction treatment provider. His goal, like Sandstone's, is to help teens, young adults, and their families overcome mental health, substance use, and addiction challenges.Buzzsprout - Let's get your podcast launched!Start for FREEBE A GUEST/FIND A GUEST Start for Free!PODMATCH is innovative, provides easy communication and dashboard scheduling! Send us a Text Message. What a lovely conversation with Dr. Fred, and his passion for his new book Find Your True Voice he says it goes along with the technology and what we talked about today and it does. It's about connecting with human beings.Dr. Fred was the youngest of 3 sons; his brothers were over 10 years older.  He was told he was a bundle of love and joy.  Admittedly he says maybe not all the time, but that was his memory.   He watched his brothers communicate with his parents.  He said from a young age he would have to learn this communication.Dr. Fred as a child was always smart, top of his grade, and funny and got into trouble.  His seeking how to communicate was a frustration in school.  Junior high was no better, nor was college.  He dropped out, then returned to computer science, and again he didn't want to punch cards.  So he dropped out again.  His mother said he needed a job.  So he got one at a Child Worker in Michigan in January 1980.  It was there he learned what communication was about.Dr. Fred says this world is uncomfortable.  Your level of maintaining yourself is working for you at times to have a smile.  It gives you a purpose.  But some people don't have that feeling.  They don't want to get out of bed.  He asks if there is a justification for being sad or scared or being nervous about how things are going to work out, or the voices in your head.  Oh ya.Just don't go to the hospital telling them that because those voices are fine but they will put you in the psychiatric ward, and you will be put on medication that will create the symptoms of being what they diagnosed you as as a schizophrenic. All these people wanted was to make a difference.  What is a human?  They want to be heard, they want to be heard, they want to make a difference and they want to be part of this planet.  We all want to be liked, but no one cares.  This is where Dr. Fred came up with Find Your True Voice and Welcome To Humanity.Whatever you say, it's about Humanity.  Hellish and beauty of being a part of humanity.  He also undoctors people.  What if there is nothing wrong with you?Dr. Fred said that eating disorders were a more difficult part.  But he makes a point.  If you can accept that "this is humanity", and not put yourself down, it's easier to accept that you can, in this world of humanity, find a way to get over it, accepting it's part of your humanity at this time.Dr. Fred did say some people do have medication that truly does help them.  However, other people are given medication that only exacerbates the issue.  Very interesting conversation. You can reach Dr. Fred at DrFred360.comBuzzsprout - Let's get your podcast launched!Start for FREEBE A GUEST/FIND A GUEST Start for Free!PODMATCH is innovative, provides easy communication and dashboard scheduling! Send us a Text Message.I wanted to have Matt O'Neill as a guest because I know so many people who struggle with their moods.  It was something I struggled with even more so when I was bulimic.  When I gave up on bulimia and found peace within myself, my temperament changed.  I won't say I still don't have those moments I snap, but as I shared, I am acutely aware of my emotions, which I wasn't when I ate them and then purged them.  And you never really purge them, you bury them further down. What I love about this conversation is when Matt equated negativity to "Pain Body".  I have never heard that before, and it made so much sense.  So who is Matt?  He is a renowned podcast host, entrepreneur, and Forbes books author here to share his mission for spreading positivity.  And how do you do that? One particular part of our conversation was revealing to me.  Love first.  Don't judge.  Matt explains that empaths can feel negative emotions from others.  This is where is speaks to viewing situations as opposite.   We spoke to being spiritual, yet the teachings of Jesus were of "love first".  And to understand that someone else's negativity is what they are going through and may try to project it on you to bring you down with them. Truly a Podcast worth listening to.  Thank you Matt for this great conversation. Bleep Bulimia Episode 111 with Ana Escobar Spiritual Coach The Magic In Healing Focussing on Eating Disorders

I know this is a weird introduction, but the other night I watched Atlas with Jennifer Lopez.  In the movie, there were AI robots.  A couple of kinds.  The one that saved her was the one that she had to simulate her mind with the Robot Smith.  It took her all she could to do that final 100% sharing of her feelings. The key to her survival.  I believe sinking with ourselves is just that.  And this is where Ana's story intrigued me to how it related to finding yourself.  JLo found herself through a robot asking her to fully engage her mind to help them both work together for him to help her survive.  The truth is, WE need to synch with ourselves to survive. The key to our survival is knowing what is in our hearts.  Ana shared her intimate story, and at that moment she said "I shared with my cousin I was bulimic.  She was the first person I told" I cried.  I cried because I know the emotions of "coming out".Ana turned her life around by finding what is in her heart, her passion, and her MISSION.  She is now a Spiritual Coach.  With the help of Reiki and Card Reading, she helps those who struggle with eating disorders to find the same path of recovery she did.  And what is important is her Clients know she is speaking from the heart because she traveled that journey and recovered.Ana says it's about opening up the heart and sharing.  It sounds easy, but it's not.  Trust is required.  It is why she opens her heart to her Clients so they know being vulnerable is the best way to be and that she can be trusted because she has been there.Ana's story is beautiful.  Sad, caring, and about learning that everything happens for a reason.  Her's is to serve, and help those who need to reach out and heal.  The Magic In Healing.  I am sure that will be a beautiful Podcast and book someday.  In the interim, you can reach Ana on Instagram here...  @TheMagicinHealing  I appreciate Ana's honesty and her compassion for helping others recover.  I hope that this podcast speaks to my listeners as it did to me when speaking with Ana.Buzzsprout - Let's get your podcast launched!Start for FREEBE A GUEST/FIND A GUEST Start for Free!PODMATCH is innovative, provides easy communication and dashboard scheduling! Bleep Bulimia Episode 110 with John Graham 3x Memory Champion on overcoming Panic Attacks and Anxiety

I know panic attacks and anxiety.  Strangely I had often when I was bulimic.  I would hyperventilate when I was driving and have to pull over somewhere.  So John Graham was a welcoming guest on my Podcast.  What causes this?I asked some questions.  Is it passed down from generation to generation?  Is it about nutrition? In the view of John, there is little awareness of where it comes from, but he knows.  Most therapists, psychiatrists, and others will tell you it's a mindset, it can be cured with pills, meditation, or so on.  It can't.  I agree.  I tried all..  I love his response to this.  YOU HAVE TO START WITH THE HEART.  It was interesting that the Podcast guest that followed him had the same message.  Yet in a different version.  I found it interesting that John spoke about working with the right side of your brain instead of the left one that likes to "Google" the answer.  He explained both men and women have a hard time working with the "feminine" side of the brain because we have been brought up in such a masculine society and to think masculine.Emotional root issues store themselves in the heart.  One of my favourite moments was when John said the emotions rise when someone pokes you.  And you can feel the anxiety or panic surface, but instead of feeling it you push it back down.  And that someone doesn't know they poked you, but you know that there is something there that has to be addressed, but you choose not to. This is where John comes in.  I love that he said he feels like he is at the top of the mountain and wants to shout out to everyone how to overcome this panic attack and anxiety rollercoaster.  I told him I want to be at the top of the mountain with him.Listen to this and you will learn how to release all those uncomfortable feelings you keep inside of you.To reach John, please go to get your free video on How to Release Your Anxiety, Forever. https://releasepanic.com/freeMore about John:John Graham is a 3x USA Memory Champion, Grandmaster of Memory, Entrepreneur, and mentors High Performers (including a World Record holder). He's a world-class mind and innovator...but his dark secret is that he had to overcome daily panic attacks and chronic anxiety.  Mainstream methods (therapy, meditation, supplements, etc.) did not work so he discovered counter-intuitive methods to release suppressed emotions and release the control conditioning of his mind to free himself of panic and anxiety, for goodHe's performed insane mental feats on TV shows all over the world:- Super Brain (China) 400 Million Viewers- SuperHuman (USA) with Mike Tyson- Xtra Ordinary (Indonesia) 20 Million Viewers- Incredible People (Russia) 4th place finishHe's been an entrepreneur since 2012 and failed with at least 5 businesses along the way. I apologize that my microphone did not work as perfectly as wonderful Angela is... please do if you can, bear with the sound, and listen to her message.  It's an amazing one...Angela is so wonderful.  Our conversation flowed beautifully.  I apologize for the sound.  I did my best to edit it.  I am not perfect on my podcast, but the messages to my listeners are.  Angela's message is so perfect for my listeners.  I loved her honesty and her wisdom.  Having an amazing life is up to you. I appreciated comments like Food Freedom, and Enjoy Food.  This is where I am now and I am so excited she brought that up.  We spoke to how to eat slowly, and also the beautiful things Angela shared.  Write down your next day.  Journal. For some of her clients, it is important to have the right portions, prepare your day, make sure you have protein, heal, and recover.   The strange thing is I realized I do all that.  But I can always do better.  Although the career that I love has me going up and down stairs, and my legs are fit, my arms are losing muscle.  I have all the exercise equipment to do what I said... from 48 to 56 and in better shape.  Now 61... I am going to challenge myself.  20-minute workouts just 4 times a week.  I am sending Angela my before and after.  Does it matter?  Not really, except, we spoke to the health around our bones when we get to our 60s.  It's not about my caring how I look, it's about protecting my bones.  It's about the perception of "I want to look great" to "I want to protect my body" which someone called a meat skin.  Yes.  It is.  And it needs muscle to keep its bones protected. What an amazing lady!  About eating disorders?  She speaks to a perfect way of finding a diet.  NOT A DIET... a way of eating for life.  Voices go away when you have peace around food.  She talks about food thoughts and releasing that.  Nutrition degree, bodybuilding, coming out of being a skinny fat person.  I get that.   Angela was wonderful in speaking to all this.  She was such a beautiful guest. And my BAD.  I meant 20 minutes 4 times a week.  I was so excited speaking to Angela, I messed up by saying by day.  NO! This, like all my episodes, is special, but particularly special because I always wondered about the genetics and the DNA possibilities of why I was bulimic, and Elwin speaks to this.A passionate person who also expands on the possibilities of looking into your DNA having a greater role than just what you may get from 23andMe, one that can provide a report on your present and possible future health issues, and greater yet, if I heard properly, provide you with suggestions on how to eliminate or control the future health issues.Fascinating.To reach Elwin, he suggests visiting YouTube and finding him by simply searching Elwin Robinson.  Yet, furthermore, you can visit his website www.geneticinsights.co.He is also offering a discount if you use the promo code BLEEPBULIMIA, all upper case and no space.Buzzsprout - Let's get your podcast launched!Start for FREEBE A GUEST/FIND A GUEST Start for Free!PODMATCH is innovative, provides easy communication and dashboard scheduling! What a lovely and inspiring interview with Brady Foulk.  And how fun that this is episode 101.  Reminded me of the 101 Dalmations.  How would Brady train all 101?  A question for the next time I have him on my Podcast.   At first, I was wondering, when he reached out to me, how this would relate to my Podcast.  He was clear on how it would.  And it does. Fun pre-intro when I asked how he wanted to be introduced.  He said his last name is said "folk" like folks.  I told him I think I can say that fine.  Even with my lisp.  And or I could say he was Brady, like the "Brady Bunch".  Wanted to hug him right there.  My kind of humour. I have always had dogs.  And my dogs have been part of the reason I recovered.  My sister's unconditional love for me also made me realize dogs give you that too and what would my dogs do if I were to leave them?Brady shares his own story of how he had to retrain his own thinking and lifestyle and explains the three different ways we can deal with issues.  Ignore, manage or make it sustainable.Brady and I chatted after the interview and it was interesting that he asked me what were my questions while I was eating after I recovered.  He asked that because I told him when I was eating at family gatherings when I was bulimic, would I find a way to get rid of the food?  Today it's not really asking any questions.  It's enjoying the food and the company.  So there are no mental thoughts of what I will have to do, other than the dishes. :)  Great question though.Brady shares many intuitive thoughts and is very engaging.  And his dogs Bumble Bee and Curiosity are so adorable!  Check them out on Social Media! You can reach out to him at https://info.newdirectiondogtraining.com/ or on Tiktok and Instagram @dndogtraining.  The episode about water?  My birthday buddy friend Aaron was my guest on that episode.  You can view that one at https://www.buzzsprout.com/1484140/13189498More about Brady:Brady is a dedicated dog trainer with a passion for empowering puppies, dogs, and their owners to achieve greater success and harmony at their home and around town! This episode was quite emotional.  From Collin sharing his truth in life and his pain of a life that is a book to come, I hope.  Truthfulness and honesty and pain.  It's hard to lose someone suddenly.  I did try to relate suicide to Bulimia and Eating Disorders.  This was why I had Collin on this episode.  There were spoken words of quick loss versus slow ones, however, to me this was about having someone come on in pain and sharing that if you are feeling pain, and you are experiencing an eating disorder, it IS  A SLOW SUICIDE. I hope you find out more about Collin Hughes and Collin's story and his fight against suicide.  I know the feeling.  I felt like I wanted to drive into a pole when I was going through a divorce.  I heard the love of my life tell me she put a noose around her neck and she failed and I am grateful for that she is okay now... although still suffers from "what is this world about and why the f' am I here?"  Scares me that she still has those thoughts.  So still every day I wonder. What percent of us have thought about suicide, and yet are scared and doing it slowly, like I did for 30 years?  I was told that.  Bulimia is a slow suicide, as are all eating disorders.Mom told me tonight that she noticed I and my sister who also dealt with weight and mental health issues have learned how to live life with beauty and enjoy food, while also knowing to enjoy... and learning about what your body needs, and that you need just to enjoy life. My parents were freaked out about losing me when I was bulimic.  I have had friends with anorexia whose parents felt the same.  KNOW THIS, AN EATING DISORDER IS A SLOW SUICIDE AND SCARES THE HELL OUT OF THOSE WHO LOVE YOU!  My daughter knew I had bulimia and asked me to please LIVE. I hope this loss and pain make you realize YOU MATTER!You can find Collin Hughes by going to:https://www.buzzsprout.com/2036777https://www.buzzsprout.com/2036777/sharehttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-miracles-of-tragedy/id1641402383And The Malinois Foundation, which Collin referenced can be found at the link below:https://themalinoisfoundation.org/Support the showSupport the show

Josie Warren and I discussed her work, and why she became a Chronic Illness Expert.  Part of that was overcoming her own struggle with bulimia, which she is now recovered 7 years from.  Josie says she thought she would be a lifetime bulimic and is happy to have learned that she could indeed overcome it.  Josie started her bulimia at about 12 in 7th grade, and in high school, it became more regular, three to seven times a day, daily for well over a decade.Josie came from a family of bulimics and eating disorders.  There was a time that she would have said it was because of her family and she was fated to be bulimic.  She changed her mindset saying she was the one who chose bulimia.  Bulimia is not visible.  It is a secret to the one who is bulimic.  "I could hide it behind a closed door," says Josie.  We chatted about how we thought other people thought about us was really about how we really felt about ourselves.  What inspired Josie to seek recovery?  Her deteriorating health condition was the reason.  The avenues of therapy were not working.  Someone suggested connecting with A New Life Center in Colorado.  She went in for her auto-immune issues and chronic illnesses.  She was accepted into their program and found out that chronic stress was the reason for her illnesses.  This led to dealing with those suppressed stresses, and with that, a magical thing happened and her bulimia also was cured.  Josie speaks to the sympathetic, flight or fight stage of stress, and entering into the para-sympathetic nervous system, where the body regains homeostasis.Wonderful information.  A must listen to.To connect with Josie, please visit https://hashimotosfix.com/contact-josie-warrenThis link takes you to her website and a contact form.
