Come? Lo scopriamo in questo video, dove... abbiamo una cosa o due in più da dire, in realtà, su Dunk e le divinità di Westeros. Come se si fossero coalizzate, sì, coalizzate per proteggerlo...Art by Mike S. Baelor the Blessed's surprising ascent to the Iron Throne was followed by a dizzying series of rulings unlike any King before or after. His reign was a decade dedicated to peace… unless it interfered with piety. King Baelor was a man of the seven, often called the Septon King, but he was also a burner of books and a man capable of consigning innocents to homelessness and starvation. This is part 2 of 3 and features guest Nina Friel! Baelor was one of the most exceptional and extreme dragon Kings to sit the Iron Throne, an example of both the best and the worst their line could produce. His devotion to peace was arguably second to none, but the same could be said for his Targaryen madness. This is a look at his early life and ascension featuring guest Nina Friel! The Ghosts of Harrenhal: A Song of Ice and Fire Podcast (ASOIAF)
Send us a textCersei gets an update on Margaery court, while being waylaid by sparrows. She negotiates a deal with the new High Septon. He'll bless Tommen and erase the crown's debt to the Faith for a law allowing the re-emergence of the Faith Militant. Finally, she makes a veiled threat to Margaery. Mackelly and Simon bow their heads in prayer that she knows what she's doing.Chapter Review:Queen Cersei Lannister rides to the Great Sept of Baelor with Taena Maryweather. Taena fills Cersei in on the men in Margaery's court. The list is filled with most of the young, handsome knights in King's Landing. Therefore, the addition of Grand Maester Pycelle stands out. The going is slow. The litter is blocked by sparrows clogging the streets. Ultimately, Cersei walks the remainder of the way. Upon seeing a pile of bones of slain faithful, Cersei promises to seek revenge. However, the sparrows want only protection for the living.Inside the sept, Cersei is shocked to see septons on hands and knees scrubbing. When she meets the High Septon, she says he should have met her in his finest robes and a crystal crown, not wet and dirty. He explains that they've sold their crowns and fine robes. Cersei asks to speak in private. They kneel at the feet of the Crone. Cersei wants the sparrows gone from King's Landing and a blessing from the High Septon for King Tommen. The High Septon wants better protection from the king for the faithful throughout the realm. Cersei suggests they protect themselves, but a law prohibits the faith from taking up arms. She offers to abolish the law for a blessing for the king and forgiveness on the crown's debt to the faith. The High Septon agrees. On the ride back to the Red Keep, Cersei's festive mood is killed by the sight of Queen Margaery and her court. The two queens exchange pleasantries and barbs. When Cersei sees Margaery and Loras together, it reminds her of Jaime and herself. An idea takes root and laughter bursts forth. Margaery wants to share in the jest, and Cersei promises her that she will.Characters/Places/Names/Events:Cersei Lannister - Mother to King Tommen, Queen Regent of the Seven Kingdoms.King Tommen Baratheon - Child king of the Seven Kingdoms.High Septon - The highest ranking member of the Faith of the Seven.Taena Merryweather - Socia Support the showSupport us: Buy us a Cup of Arbor Gold, or become a sustainer and receive cool perks Donate to our cause Use our exclusive URL for a free 30-day trial of Audible Buy or gift Marriott Bonvoy points through our affiliate link Rate and review us at Apple Podcasts, Spotify, podchaser.com, and elsewhere.Find us on social media: Discord Twitter @GhostsHarrenhal Facebook Instagram YouTube All Music credits to Ross Bugden:INSTAGRAM! : https://instagram.com/rossbugden/ (rossbugden) TWITTER! : https://twitter.com/RossBugden (@rossbugden) YOUTUBE! : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kthxycmF25M

The Ghosts of Harrenhal: A Song of Ice and Fire Podcast (ASOIAF)
Jaime might've bitten off more than he can chew with standing vigil over his father for seven days and nights. While battling sleep, he recalls his last conversation with Rhaegar Targaryen as well as his recent one with the chief undergaoler. He's visited by Cersei and again rejects her plea to be Hand of the King. Finally, he brokers a lunch for Cersei and feeds her exact steps to success. Simon and Mackelly wonder if she'll still muck it up.Chapter Review:While Jaime Lannister stands vigil over his father's body, he thinks of how if he'd known that Tyrion was going to kill their father he'd have stopped him. He thinks of the conversation he had with the chief undergaoler of the Red Keep dungeons. He gets the same story Cersei got regarding Rugen, the missing undergaoler. Jaime is furious to learn that the turnkeys who fell asleep the night of Tyrion's escape were murdered, by order of the queen.Said queen appears in person, as Jaime stands vigil. She's dressed as a commoner to escape notice. She says Kevan refused her offer of Hand of the King and that he knows about Jaime and Cersei's relationship. She begs Jaime to reconsider taking the role of Hand of the King. Jaime again refuses. Again, in no uncertain terms. A furious Cersei stalks off after unleashing a barrage of angry words toward Jaime. When the sun comes up, mourners again flood the Great Sept of Baelor. Tywin's body has continued to decay and the odor has intensified greatly. When Queen Cersei and King Tommen approach the corpse, Tommen gags and runs for the door. Jaime goes after him and consoles the little king. Queen Cersei arrives and admonishes her son for embarrassing her. Mace Tyrell is close on her heels. Jaime sets up a lunch between Cersei and Mace, to Cersei's annoyance. But Jaime explains that it's an opportunity to send Mace on a task out of the city, where he might get himself killed.Characters/Places/Names/Events:Jamie Lannister - Twin and lover to Cersei. Biological father of Tommen.Cersei Lannister - Mother to King Tommen, Queen Regent of the Seven Kingdoms.King Tommen Baratheon - Child king of the Seven Kingdoms.Tywin Lannister - Lord of Casterly Rock, recently murdered by his son Tyrion.Kevan Lannister - Brother to Tywin.Grand Maester Pycelle - Elderly member of the Small Council. This episode we are wrapping up the first season. In episode 9 titled "Baelor" we start with Ned wasting away in the darkness of his cell when he is visited by Varys and urged to swear fealty to Cersei and douche Joffrey. Ned's many dumb mistakes finally catch up to him this episode. Rob, who is mad AF over his father being jailed mounts an army to ride out on the Lannisters and need Walder Frey's assistance to do that. After laying out a perfect plan, he fails to get his father or sisters back but he does take Jamie Lannister as hostage in return. Over in the Dothroki camp, we see Drogo getting worse and worse. Dany calls on Mirri Maz Duur and her black magic to help him. We will see how that turns out in episode 10. Finally, we find ourselves in King's Landing with Ned confessing his crimes in exchange for the wall and his daughter's safety but....In episode 10 Joffrey gives us more glimpses of how evil he is by making Sansa look at the severed head of her father. He also removes the tongue of a singer who made fun of King Bobby B and Cersei. We get to see Arya escape King's Landing, Tyrion made hand of the King, Jaime confess to pushing Bran, the end of Khal Drogo, Mirri Maz Duur die screaming, and most importantly we see the birth of Dany's three Dragons....#watchdemthrones #gameofthrones #demdragons #blackwithnochaser #podcast #podsincolor #humor #jokes #spotify #applemusic #youtube

Now for those of y'all who may not know.... WE here at PMA are HUGE fans of the Game of Thrones Franchise!!!! in fact we did a whole series review season by season back in our inaugural season of the podcast (links below for the audio version). So with the addition of House of Dragon, we felt it only right to do an episode by episode review and reaction of the hot new show. We're here for all of the good, the bad, and down right disgusting!!! EPISODE 7 "DRIFTWOOD"ENJOY!!!
We're already halfway through Season 7, as we approach one of the best episodes that occured in the latest part of the show's run, Season 7, Episode 3, "The Queen's Justice." This was a monumental episode for several different reasons, the most notable one being that this episode finally saw the long awaited first meeting between Jon Snow & Daenerys Targaryen, with Jon arriving at Dragonstone to treat with Daenerys and attempt to explain to her the threat from the dead, only to discover that Daenerys is hell bent on conquering all of the seven kingdoms, including bringing the North back into the fold. This episode also contains Cersei Lannister's most gangster moment since blowing up the Sept of Baelor, with Euron presenting the Sand Snakes to her as his gift to her, and Cersei getting to exact her long awaited revenge on Ellaria for Myrcella's murder in a scene that is equal parts jaw dropping as it is horrifying. The episode is just filled from top to bottom with incredible moments, characters reuniting and more. Bran finally arrives home in Winterfell and reunites with Sansa, only to shake her with his newfound powers. Jorah is cured of Greyscale and bids goodbye to Sam, who's both rewarded and punished for it. Tyrion enacts his plan to have the Unsullied seize Casterly Rock, only for them to be waylayed and trapped inland as Jaime has taken the full force of the Lannister army to Highgarden, taking out yet another one of Daenerys' allies, but not before Olenna gives him one last revelation before she departs from the world and the show. It's yet another high stakes episode as we inch even closer to the battle for the throne. It's time people, for the first major event of this series that changed television forever. People, tonight, Professor Pat & I bid goodbye to poor old dead Ned Stark! We break down everything that happened in this monumental penultimate episode of Season 1! From Robb making a deal with the devil with the newly introduced Walder Frey, to Jon having a frank but necessary conversation with Maester Aemon that foreshadows his upcoming decision; to Daenerys being shown what happens when she trusts strangers; to Tyrion experiencing his first battle (and being knocked out) only to discover that Robb pulled a fast one on them and has captured Jaime. It all results in the shocker to end all shockers, with the death of Ned Stark. Poor Ned Stark, who had been waylayed and warned about what he was getting himself into from the moment he stepped foot in King's Landing, couldn't read the writing on the walls. The ironic thing is that when Ned dies, he's finally coerced into breaking his precious honor for the supposed safety of his daughter but also for the realm, but loses his head anyways when another player enters the game who has no conception of how it's played. Joffrey's decision to execute Ned announces him as a player in the game and sets the realm on a collision course as the sides are drawn and people begin preparing for war. Welcome to the podcast episode that highlights the works of PositiveKidsToday.com -- a website filled with books, apps, programs and resources developed to support the emotional and mental wellbeing of children. Niki Spears and Brandi Pillow, a mother and daughter team, aim to help young children develop positive attitudes about themselves and their worlds. Niki, a mother of three girls and a former educator, understands the way in which children see themselves can impact their successes with building strong trusting relationships. Niki knows that struggle, so she and Brandi provide young children with strategies to support their embracing a healthy mindset! To accomplish that goal, my guest today, Niki Spears, the author of a series of books inspired by her granddaughter Baelor, joins me today to discuss her first two books The Hand Hug and Kindness Is Contagious Too! The Hand Hug is a sweet story about Baelor, a little girl who is experiencing worrisome thoughts and doesn't know how to transform them. She is starting a new school and feeling anxious about whether her classmates will like her and if she will make new friends. Suddenly, she discovers The Hand Hug and it changes her life! In questo capitolo Cersei sale al Tempio di Baelor per chiedere la benedizione di Tommen e incoscientemente autorizza la (ri)formazione del Credo Militare, perché le sembra cosa buona e giusta. The Ghosts of Harrenhal: A Song of Ice and Fire Podcast (ASOIAF)
After traversing the mean streets of King's Landing, Arya winds up following the crowd to the Sept of Baelor. There she finds her father, sister, King Joffrey, and the rest. Ned admits to treason and hails Joffrey as the true king. That should then get Sansa what she asked for: mercy for her father. However, Joffrey being Joffrey, he instead calls for Ned's head. The guys walk you through the whole somber affair. Chapter Review: Arya Stark has been living rough on the streets of King's Landing, since fleeing from the Lannister guards. She's been beaten up, had her belongings stolen, and gone hungry. After killing a fat pigeon, Arya makes her way down to the wharfs. There she finds the Wind Witch, the same ship her father scheduled to take her and Sansa home to Winterfell. Stark men hang around out front. Arya can't believe it. However, as she gets closer, she realizes that she doesn't recognize any of the men. Smelling a trap, she leaves before they realize who she is. She leaves the wharfs and heads to Flea Bottom to eat, only to discover that her pigeon is missing. Dejected, hungry, and beaten up, Arya follows the crowd and the sounds of bells to the Sept of Baelor. There she finds her father flanked by gold cloaks of the city watch. She also sees her sister Sansa, King Joffrey, Queen Cersei, and most of the royal entourage. Ned announces that he's committed treason. That he tried to steal the throne for himself. Joffrey is the true king of the Seven Kingdoms. Joffrey tells the crowd that his mother wants him to allow Ned to take The Black. That Sansa has begged him for mercy. After smiling at Sansa, he turns to the crowd and proclaims that no treason will go unpunished, while he's king. He asks Ser Ilyn Payne to bring him Ned's head. Arya tries to rush the stage, but before she can get there, she's grabbed by a stranger. Arya realizes he's not actually a stranger. It's Yoren of the Night's Watch. He refers to Arya as "boy," tells her that she'll be coming with him. Characters/Places/Names/Events: King Joffrey Baratheon - bastard son of Jaime Lannister and his twin sister Queen Cersei Lannister. Currently King Joffrey Baratheon First of His Name. Queen Cersei Lannister - Widow of King Robert Baratheon, twin sister of Ser Jamie Lannister. Mother of King Joffrey Baratheon. Arya Stark - Younger daughter of Lord Eddard Stark and Catelyn Tully. WE DID IT! Light the fireworks and ring the bells, here we wave goodbye to an absolutely fantastic, perfectly singular book in our series. There really is nothing quite like Feast. No surprise it requires our biggest episode EVER. Today I discuss the brilliance of its anti-war message, the joy of focusing on the people rather than the titles, and that's all with trying to not comment too much on the overall! As for our chapters we must suffer through the brutality of Brienne's reward, as well as truly seeing what has become of the Brotherhood without Banners, every one of Cersei's mistakes comes to find her in the depths of the Sept of Baelor in what is a pretty good day for King's Landing in general, Jaime completes his victory at Riverrun, topping it off with some smacks to Spicers, Freys, and his own sister, and Sam finally brings us back to Oldtown to meet Marwyn, the Glass Candle, and a really, really big bunch of questions. Today's final chapters: -Brienne VIII -Cersei X - Jaime VII - Sam V So hop aboard the Isle for one last discussion on Feast and for some final goodbyes. There is a whole bunch to talk about (hence the three hours), but you might want to come for the examination of Stoneheart using guest right as a trap, Brienne's terrible penance, Cersei's great crimes coming to haunt her, Riverrun's end as the second true 'home' of the series, Jaime's growth to responsibility in the snow, his reply to a certain letter, the gamechanging of glass candles, my long-awaited counting of maester mentions, and a whole bunch more! Thank you all for joining us for Feast, it's been a hell of a ride Check out History of Westeros for the live streams and main analysis, plus how to get involved with the Flick community: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiYwENpLDO4gyB4dBrMYrjQ Please do consider giving us a rating or review if you can, and find more of the Isle of Faces and other projects at https://twitter.com/SerBuckley

After several months of hiatus, Andrew and Manu are back and finally ready to wrap up season 1 of "Game of Thrones" by kicking off their discussion of the thrilling finale, "Fire and Blood." Despite the episode title, there are no Targaryens to discuss just yet. We pick up immediately where "Baelor" left off with Ned Stark's execution and Yoren's scramble to get the dazed Arya out of King's Landing. This segues to the theme of this week's podcast, which is essentially how each Stark family member (aside from Jon) reacts to Ned's death. We see Bran & Rickon learning the truth in visions before hearing the official word from Maester Luwin, Catelyn & Robb sharing in pure devastation in the Riverlands, and Sansa's quiet suffering at court in King's Landing before the shit Joffrey forces her to stare at Ned's head on a spike. (Immediately after needlessly having Marillion's tongue ripped out. Great guy.) It's at least a strong moment of personal strength from Sansa. It's good to be back and diving into all this, so enjoy! Listen to Manu's recent appearance discussing "The Queen's Justice" (season 7, episode 3) on The Night's Cast ... ... then go back and listen to our podcast on that episode from when it aired in August 2017! iTunes link Google Play link
Andrew and Manu hit a true watershed moment in the history of television with the finale of "Baelor," where Ned Stark is stunningly executed right after his son, Robb, wins the Battle of the Whispering Wood and takes Jaime Lannister captive. Yowza. Along the way, Manu brings up a theory that he's discussed on Twitter before with Malora Hightower: the decision to behead Ned was not just Joffrey's violent instinct but also an idea planted by Littlefinger himself. There's more evidence to this than you might think, so take a listen. This all-timer features some excellent character work by Sean Bean, Michelle Fairley, Maisie Williams, and many others, so let's get right into it. Not discussed on the podcast, but worth noting: Jaime talks to Olenna Tyrell about learning from Robb's trick and using it later on at Highgarden in season 7 Alan Sepinwall's review of "Baelor" at the time of its release captures the shock of Ned's death to pretty much everyone except book readers Okay yeah, we need at least one Ned death reaction video iTunes link Google Play link
Andrew and Manu travel to the Wall in "Baelor" through the eyes of Jon Snow. Since he saved Lord Commander Mormont, the Old Bear gifts him the Valyrian sword Longclaw, a Mormont family heirloom. They talk about the sword and Alliser Thorne, and afterward, Jon learns from Sam that Robb Stark is marching south. Conflicted, Jon is summoned by Maester Aemon, who has a heart-to-heart with him in which he explains his Targaryen roots and the similar hardships he faced watching from the Wall as his house fell to ruin during Robert's Rebellion. Every word from the late Peter Vaughan is chilling and moving, so we try to give this moment its due. It's incredible and chalk full of connections to the story writ large. Let's get to it. Jon talks with Jorah about Jeor Mormont and tries to give him Longclaw back in season 7 (which we also touched upon in our podcast recap of that episode) Helpful video with graphics explaining the Targaryen family tree (Note: The show simplifies it by skipping a generation and making the Mad King the son of Maester Aemon's younger brother Aegon the Unlikely, rather than the grandson) Once more: Manu's appearance on the "Not a Cast" podcast discussing Bran IV Just watch the scene with Maester Aemon and Jon again. It's too perfect. iTunes link Google Play link
Andrew and Manu have finally made it "Baelor," one of the most transcendent episodes of TV from this decade (and maybe ever). Appropriately, they start off with Varys' second visit to Ned Stark in the black cells of King's Landing, as the Master of Whisperers tries to convince him to support Joffrey to save Sansa. Then, it's off to the Riverlands, where through his mother Catelyn, Robb enters into negotiations with the nefarious Walder Frey. We're introduced to the creepy environment of the Twins, and Manu provides some of House Frey's history and Walder's background with Cat's father, Hoster Tully. Robb is presented with ominous terms, as he must agree to marry one of Walder's daughter to cross. He does so, but yeah, that doesn't work out well for him once he goes back on his promise. Manu's appearance on the "Not a Cast" podcast discussing Bran IV One Perfect Shot: Fire lighting Ned's eyes Andrew's Always Sunny-themed Catelyn/Walder Frey tweet Jaime Lannister's rebuttal to Catelyn about all the conflicting vows you have to take iTunes link Google Play link
A mere month after the Game of Thrones spin-off about The Long Night was announced (and discussed), another one is in the news! It's not official yet, but check out this Watchers on the Wall story about another Thrones series: "Empire of Ash," directed by Max Borenstein about the Doom of Valyria. Andrew and Manu chat about the rumored details behind the prequel and also briefly touch on the update about the Long Night spin-off possibly going into production in October. Then, it's back to "The Pointy End," which came to its own pointy end in a series of scenes: Tyrion & the Hill Tribes meeting Tywin in the Lannister camp, Robb showing his mettle when a scout interrupts his War Council, and King's Landing, where Barristan Selmy is unceremoniously dismissed from the Kingsguard and Sansa begs for her father's life. Tywin & Tyrion's oh-so-complicated relationship is explored, as are the Hill Tribes, Barristan's great respect, the Lannisters quietly orchestrating Sansa's request, and the show's subtleties with wine, furtive glances, camerawork, and more. Away we go! Next up is "Baelor." Get hyped. In advance of Manu's appearance on the "Not a Cast" episode about AGOT Bran IV, our older episode on when Tyrion presents Bran with his saddle design in the show Jorah & Tyrion traveling through Valyria Ozzy Man reads the alluded epic tale of Barristan's escape from King's Landing iTunes link Google Play link
