Ogden Everest summiter's Will Calton and Tom Burton shaking hands after accepting a community award from the Ogden Mayer for their accomplishments. Our first episode of Fall 2012 included an interview with legendary alpinist, Douglas Scott. Doug was the first to summit the Southwest Face of Everest back in 1975. He has also summited 40 different peaks, half of which were either new routes or first ascents. Doug began climbing at the age of 12 with first documented leads in 1953. He still climbs today, "with a little help from his friends." He climbed Targo Ri (6572m), Tibet in 2000, and was the president of the Alpine Club. We also had Jen Leininger from the Ogden Valley Winter Sports Foundation in studio briefly.
