Une émission en collaboration avec le Club RFI Abidjan, dans le cadre de la 21ᵉ Conférence mondiale Wikimania 2026 à Paris. Wikimania est un rendez-vous annuel du mouvement Wikimédia. Plus de 1 000 contributeurs et partenaires venus du monde entier se sont réunis du 21 au 25 juillet 2026 à la Cité des Sciences et de l'industrie de Paris. Le Club RFI Abidjan de Côte d'Ivoire, coordinateur du projet Wiki Club RFI, était présent à cet événement international. À cette occasion, il a organisé une rencontre en présentiel et en ligne afin d'échanger sur la place et le rôle des Clubs RFI au sein du mouvement Wikimédia. Les discussions ont notamment porté sur : la contribution des savoirs locaux aux projets Wikimédia ; les synergies entre les communautés Wikimédia et les Clubs RFI ; l'engagement des jeunes dans la production et le partage de connaissances libres ; la valorisation des langues et des cultures africaines… Malgré leur richesse culturelle et le nombre de leurs locuteurs, de nombreuses langues africaines demeurent encore peu présentes dans l'univers numérique. Dans notre émission en collaboration avec le Club RFI Abidjan, nous nous penchons sur une question majeure pour l'avenir de la diversité linguistique : les langues africaines ont-elles un avenir sur Internet ? In 1993, he worked for then-PASOK leader Andreas Papandreou’s successful campaign of Prime Minister of Greece, as well as for his son, George Papandreou in 2007. Trippi advised former British Prime Minister Tony Blair during his successful election. In 2006, he worked for Romano Prodi on his winning race for Prime Minister of Italy. In 2008, Trippi helped Morgan Tsvangirai and the Movement for Democratic Change receive the most votes and helped garner international media attention to Robert Mugabe’s democratic subversion and violence. These efforts led to a ‘unity’ government and Tsvangirai becoming Prime Minister of Zimbabwe. In 2011, Trippi helped elect Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan.In 2016, Trippi founded Vanguard Africa, to provide advice and technical support to pro-democracy and anti-corruption candidates.
