Aflevering 10 van het tweede seizoen van Afgestaan gaat over Francien en haar moeder Riet. Francien:"Mijn moeder is ongewenst zwanger geraakt…had aangegeven dat ze afstand van mij wilde doen… daar heeft ze ook voor getekend. Maar toen stortte ze min of meer in."Francien wordt in 1958 geboren als haar moeder Riet 36  jaar en ongehuwd is. Riet raakt in paniek en besluit afstand te doen van haar kind. Als Francien geboren wordt gaat ze direct naar neutraal terrein, naar Het Janna Kindertehuis in Amsterdam. Daar woont ze ongeveer een jaar en dan lukt het haar moeder om Francien terug te krijgen. Francien komt dit pas te weten als ze 66 jaar oud is en hun dossiers leest in het Stads Archief van Amsterdam.Francien leest voor uit hun dossier: "Mejuffrouw Van de Drift tekende na enige tijd inderdaad een afstandsverklaring, maar raakte ogenblikkelijk daarna in paniek en verzocht om langer bedenktijd te mogen hebben."De paniek van Riet wordt serieus genomen en zij krijgt hulp van een zeer bekende psychiater.Francien leest voor uit hun dossier:” Mejuffrouw Van de Drift kan geen besluit nemen. Zij is zeer van streek en uit haar doen. Onder deze omstandigheden meenden wij de vrouw niet voldoende te kunnen helpen bij haar moeilijkheden. En wij verzochten dokter H.F. Heijmans, rooms katholiek psychiater. Mejuffrouw Van de Drift te willen adviseren."Deze prof. dr. Heijmans schreef samen met zijn collega prof. dr. Trimbos het boek ‘De niet gehuwde moeder en haar kind', 1964,  waarin zij de ongehuwde moeder als een sociaal pathologisch verschijnsel neerzetten. Andere sociaal pathologische verschijnselen waren bijvoorbeeld prostitutie of alcoholisme.Deze psychiaters zijn medeverantwoordelijk voor het idee dat je de niet gehuwde moeder maar beter van haar kind kon scheiden. Op die manier behield de moeder haar kans op een huwelijk met daar binnen wettelijke kinderen en het kind kon worden opgevoed bij gehuwde adoptieouders waarbij het een vader en een moeder kreeg.  Vanaf eind jaren vijftig tot begin jaren tachtig van de vorige eeuw was dit gedachtegoed in Nederland de theoretische onderbouwing van de praktijk van afstand en adoptie.Omdat Riet financiële steun krijgt van haar twee werkgevers en haar jongere zus bij haar komt inwonen om haar te helpen met de opvoeding van Francien, lukt het om haar dochtertje na ongeveer een jaar terug te krijgen. Een uitzonderlijke situatie voor een ongehuwde moeder in die tijd.Francien: Uit het dossier:”…zodat mejuffrouw Van de Drift binnenkort haar dochtertje Francina bij zich thuis zal nemen. Zij bezoekt haar kind veel. En is erg op het meisje gesteld….” Het emotioneert me … dat zij zo haar best heeft gedaan om mij bij zich te houden en dat ze dat een ja dat een ander ook bevestigt…Ze houdt van haar dochtertje en ik merk dat ik dat belangrijk vind. Ja, dat dat me raakt.”Deze podcast gaat over hoe het een dubbeltje op zijn kant was of je in de tweede helft van de vorige eeuw je kind wel of niet kon houden als ongehuwde moeder. El Govern balear pagó casi 3 millones de euros a las empresas vinculadas a Koldo García y no los reclamó hasta 3 años después pese a que no recibieron las mascarillas que pidieron. Mientras, el PSOE sigue negociando con Junts la ley de amnistía a tan solo 2 días de que venza el plazo. En Estados Unidos, Donald Trump llega al supermartes, la votación de primarias en 15 estados, con el aval del Tribunal Supremo de que se puede presentar en todos los estados. Además, Francia ha blindado en su constitución el derecho al aborto.

Nos visita Ángeles Caballero para hablar de este asunto. Y la presidenta del Congreso, Francina Armengol, da explicaciones sobre por qué contrató a la empresa de la trama Koldo cuando era presidenta de Baleares y tardó 3 años en reclamarle el dinero por haberle vendido mascarillas de menor calidad que las contratadas. 

Tras escuchar atentamente el esperpento protagonizado este martes por la pancatalanista presidenta del Congreso, Francina Armengol, no cabe otra salida que beatificarla. No hay duda de que merece superar el primer escalón hacia su santificación en el Panteón de Ilustres dirigentes socialistas que intentan camuflar su papel en las cloacas con los argumentos y silencios habituales. Su intervención fue pintoresca, pero el Gobierno y el PSOE han cerrado filas. La culpa es del PP que se dedica a «embarrar», porque debería aplaudir la gestión de Armengol al frente del gobierno balear. El único que tiene que dar explicaciones es el pobre Miguel Tellado que ni conoce ni tiene nada que ver con la trama. La izquierda política y mediática intenta dar credibilidad a un falso comentario del socialista Koldo. Por supuesto, esto se adereza, como es habitual, con ataques contra Ayuso y Almeida.

El Congreso de los Diputados estará presidido durante todo este período por Francina Armengol, que en una entrevista en Hoy por Hoy con Àngels Barceló habla de que cree que debe ser una legislatura valiente, lamenta que el Senado se haya vuelto una cámara de confrontación y señala que hay comportamientos de Vox que no le han gustado, algo que le hará saber tanto al líder de la ultraderecha, Santiago Abascal, y a la portavoz parlamentaria, Pepa Millán.

La presidenta del Congreso muestra una fidelidad indestructible a Sánchez. Es cierto que alcanza los niveles propios de una acólita, pero es muy útil a su señor. Al igual que los antiguos soldados iberos hace gala de esa «devotio» a su jefe militar que les hizo tan valiosos en las guerras en las que participaron. La virtuosa Francina es leal, mantiene la palabra y ejerce su compromiso sin importarle cualquier exceso dialéctico o tropelía institucional. Hay que reconocer que es una auténtica apologeta del sanchismo. Al igual que los escritores del cristianismo primitivo defendían la fe cristiana de las acusaciones de los paganos, ella deslumbra entre los palmeros del líder socialista.
