Raised: When Jesus Calls the Dead to Life – John 11:27–57 In Episode 141 of Divine Table Talk, Jamie and Jane explore one of the most powerful miracles in all of Scripture—the raising of Lazarus in John 11:27–57. As grief, doubt, hope, and faith collide, Jesus declares Himself to be “the resurrection and the life” before calling Lazarus from the tomb. Together, they unpack what this miracle reveals about the heart of God, the power of belief, and how Jesus often works in ways that stretch our faith beyond what we can see. This chapter is not only about a man being raised from the dead—it's about a Savior who brings life into every place that feels hopeless, buried, or beyond redemption. You might have heard about the recent "He Gets Us" ad campaign that was broadcast during the Super Bowl. While this statement might sound spiritual and from one aspect it's true...Jesus UNDERSTANDS the human condition, because he was human, the point of the ad campaign is that Jesus ACCEPTED every sin and form of behavior. It presents a false Jesus honestly and not the real Jesus of the Bible. Yes...he gets us...but he loves enough to tell us...GO AND SIN NO MORE. Many today believe that Jesus preached love and tolerance. While Jesus did preach love, he did NOT preach tolerance for what His Father God said was illegal. I will deal with several things in this episode that dispel the false ideology that...HE GETS US.

Today, we once again examine the law of sowing and reaping. Jesus spoke and gave examples of this both negative and positive. Talking about harvest is not enough. We must do our part to have an actual harvest. There are similarities between sowing actual seeds and sowing spiritual seed. First, both must be intentional in being planted. The crop desired must be first chosen, the seed must be acquired and then planted. Today, we will demonstrate when to be intentional about sowing for a good harvest. We will also give you a good application to help you understand when is the best time to sow good seed.

Guilt and shame, in the proper context, may actually be something that we can use to motivate and better ourselves as we strive to live in right relationship to God.
John 8:1-11 ESV 1 but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. 2 Early in the morning he came again to the temple. All the people came to him, and he sat down and taught them. 3 The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery, and placing her in the midst 4 they said to him, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in the act of adultery. 5 Now in the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say?” 6 This they said to test him, that they might have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground. 7 And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.” 8 And once more he bent down and wrote on the ground. 9 But when they heard it, they went away one by one, beginning with the older ones, and Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before him. 10 Jesus stood up and said to her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” 11 She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more.”]] GO AND SIN NO MORE. What started as a nightmare for the adulterous woman became a blessing to her. Why? She met Jesus. She came in trembling. But, she came out rejoicing. Coincidental or incidental? Absolutely not. It's sad that we are all like this woman laden with sin.[Rom 3:23] yet, it's nightmarish that there are ‘holier than thou art' people like the Jews, who just embarrassed us. They hated so much Jesus so they used this woman and under the pretext of the law as a trap for Jesus. Have sin of their own. You could hear a pin drop as they left one by one, from the oldest to the youngest. Jesus stooped and wrote at the ground in order not to embarrass them. It's not wrong to judge. It is judgmentalism that is wrong and let us beware of it. Jesus judged the woman but not judgmental. He showed compassion. He did not condemn her but forgave her. He even trusted her by saying, “Go and sin no more.” Forgiveness is a sign of trust. Jesus believed that the woman will go and behave from this time onward as a new person. But, Jesus outwitted them to melt these fuming lions so that they retreated as little puppies with tails curled down. He didn't repute that the sinful woman is stoned according to the law. He affirmed it. His argument was on the moral ground – they can stone her if they don't have the sin of their own. You could hear a pin drop as they left one by one, from the oldest to the youngest. Jesus stooped and wrote at the ground in order not to embarrass them. Moreover, we observed that what evil these religious leaders had invented turned out to be a blessing. There is healing for anyone who would approach Jesus, even by sinister way at the beginning. Moreover we observed that what evil these religious leaders had invented turned out to be a blessing. We often focus on Jesus dying on a cross, but our faith is REALLY about Jesus living and breathing AFTER dying on a cross. In this message, Pastor Jamie Nunnally, shares how the death of Jesus makes the way for each of us to belong, believe, and become in this life. John 11:25 “Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying.” 1 Corinthians. 15:55 “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” Christians don’t die, we just change locations. So, what does Easter mean for us?The resurrection lets us belong, believe and become. John 8:2-12 1. Because of the resurrection, you BELONG.Jesus defended her, He accepted her, then He discipled her. How you respond to other people’s sin reveals how much like Jesus you are. 2. Because of the resurrection, you can BELIEVE.Acts 1:3 “During the forty days after he suffered and died, he appeared to the apostles from time to time, and he proved to them in many ways that he was actually alive. And he talked to them about the Kingdom of God.” 3. Because of the resurrection, you can BECOME who you were made to be.Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” You are supposed to be 1. In Christ. 2. Doing good things. Too many people are trying to make a point instead of make a difference.3. According to God’s plan. Romans 8:11 “The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.” Final questions:Do you belong? Do you believe? Are you becoming?

You Are Worth It Mother's Day 2020 We live in a generation in society that is devaluing life in general. I know some people pretend to care about life when it suits them – but then at other times de-value life. ALL LIFE IS SACRED – all people are precious to God. Ephesians 5:25 (ESV) Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, Today, I want to remind you that Jesus thinks women are WORTH VALUE – and He also places very High Value on the CHURCH! What kind of example are you setting for the next generation -when it comes to the value of women? How about when it comes to the Value of the BRIDE OF CHRIST? Do you take the kids to church, but not follow the value system of the Word of God and the church you belong to in your private lives? This is very confusing to your children and could cause them to devalue the church. There is a reason why so many people walk away from the church when they are at the age they can make their own decisions. The example was set long ago by the people with the most influence on them. The good news is that if you find yourself in this place of having de-valued the church or women in general – there is time to make things right. Just as Jesus told the woman in John 8 – we are not condemning you…He is not condemning you – GO AND SIN NO MORE! It's time to start placing value on the women in your life, and to everyone of us – it is time to start placing value on the BRIDE OF CHRIST the church – because Jesus says, even though the church is not perfect – IT IS WORTH IT! REPENT, Be BAPTIZED in JESUS' NAME, and Be FILLED with His Spirit today!
