Joshua and Jason have a shared passion outside of Whisky, Mezcal, and Sherry and that passion is tea. What luck to find a fellow tea geek in Erin. Listen in as the Jason and Erin dive into the wide world of tea. You may (or may not) be surprised to hear how similar the whisky and tea worlds are! ...as usual, have a seat, have a pour, and listen in. Unless you're driving. THE LAWSUITS ARE FLYING OVER SB1312 The bill called the Kelly Loving Act has created a firestorm of legal activity, the latest a suit from the Colorado Parents Action Network and Protect Kids Colorado among others.
Mandy talks to Abbie Kell from Metro State about a housing program that matches students needing housing with seniors, luxury beliefs in Boulder trying to shut down oil and gas, and Cory Gaines spells out how much Attorney General Phil Weiser's cases against Trump are costing taxpayers. Palestinians are protesting in Gaza against Hamas, What A-Rod should wear to jury duty, and a chat with Erin Lee about the bill that makes misgendering someone a crime.
I'm telling you—Colorado just crossed a line. Parents are being pushed aside, and the state wants the final say over your kids. I sat down with Erin Lee, a mom who saw firsthand how deep this goes. Church, this isn't just Colorado's problem—it's a preview of what's coming for the rest of the country.
Erin Lee is the mother of a girl who was transitioned without her knowledge or consent, under the guise of an afterschool 'Art Club' which actually served as a LGBTQ indoctrination course that launched a storm of confusion and doubt in the adolescent herself.
Erin Lee, parent of a former Poudre Schools student who was encouraged to transition from female to male, joins Dan to highlight her appropriately timed April Fool's Day testimony on one of the most ridiculous and chilling bills ever proposed at the Colorado General Assembly - HB 25-1312, 'Legal Protections for Transgender Individuals.' The bill would: 1) define “misgendering” as child abuse (“coercive control”) — bullying parents to either transition their kids or else lose them; 2) protect ANY parent who brings a child to Colorado for mutilation (negating all other state laws and court orders); 3) force all schools to comply with transitioning children (even explicitly attacking charter schools and eliminating any gendered dress code); 4) define “misgendering” and “deadnaming” as discrimination for *all Colorado businesses.'
Erin Lee is the head distiller at FEW Spirits in Evanston, Illinois. Lee became a certified tea sommelier in 2021 and quickly discovered a love for the tasting process. That passion led her into the world of whiskey, and soon after, she was selected for the inaugural class of interns for the STEPUP Foundation—an inclusion and equity program that aims to provide underserved and underrepresented individuals with training, encouragement and opportunities to enter the craft spirits community. In this episode, Erin shares her journey to becoming head distiller at FEW, and how she's blending her dual passions for spirits and tea—from the release of FEW Smashing Pumpkins Bourbon to a recent presentation she gave on demystifying tea. She also offers insight into FEW's core lineup and reflects on the pivotal role the STEPUP internship played in shaping her career.

Erin Lee, mother of a Poudre Schools student who battled against the transgender indoctrination of her middle school daughter, joins Dan to discuss the latest bizarre - and politically untenable - comments from Rep. Karen McCormick, who claims 'the beginning of the sense of gender identity start in the second trimester of pregnancy.' Incredibly, McCormick also supports abortion during the second trimester of pregnancy and at any point thereafter.(2) Erin for Parental Rights on X: "Colorado Rep Karen McCormick @McCormickForCO just said (while explaining her bill to make it criminal to misgender dead people) that a baby's sex is determined in the 1st trimester — but their GENDER IDENTITY is formed in the 2nd trimester.
Erin Lee, mother of a Poudre Schools student who was indoctrinated and confused by transgender ideology, comments on Colorado's efforts to defy President Trump's executive order on Orwellian 'gender-affirming care' by providing trans surgeries, hormone supplements, and puberty blockers for children as young as 14.Attorney General Pam Bondi hints at releasing the Jeffrey Epstein client list. What will it reveal?

Millions of GIs returned from overseas in 1945. A generation of men who had left their families and had learned to kill and to quickly dispatch sexual urges were rapidly reintegrated into civilian life, told to put the war behind them with cheer and confidence. Many veterans struggled, openly or privately, with this transition. Others in society wondered what the war had wrought in them. As Erin Lee Mock shows in this insightful book, the “explosive” potential of men became a central concern of postwar American culture. This wariness of veterans settled into a generalised anxiety over men's “inherent” violence and hypersexuality, which increasingly came to define masculinity. Changed Men: Veterans in American Popular Culture after World War II (University of Virginia Press, 2024) by Dr. Erin Lee Mock engages with studies of film, media, literature, and gender and sexuality to advance a new perspective on the artistic and cultural output of and about the “Greatest Generation,” arguing that depictions of men's violent and erotic potential emerged differently in different forms and genres but nonetheless permeated American culture in these years. Viewing this homecoming through the lenses of war and trauma, classical Hollywood, pulp fiction, periodical culture, and early television, Dr. Mock shows this history in a provocative new light. This interview was conducted by Dr. Miranda Melcher whose new book focuses on post-conflict military integration, understanding treaty negotiation and implementation in civil war contexts, with qualitative analysis of the Angolan and Mozambican civil wars. In this episode of the SCBWI Podcast, we are joined by Erin Lee!Erin Lee is an elementary school teacher and artist living in Long Sault, Ontario. She graduated from the University of Ottawa with an Honors degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts. Erin has published three award-winning children's books: Benjamin and the Backyard Beast, Out of Season, and Maggie the Magnificent. Erin has written short stories and novels since she was a child. As a young student, she idolized authors such as Robert Munsch, Dr. Suess, and Roald Dahl. Having adventures of her own that she wanted to share, Erin began to write stories herself. Erin's love of literature is what inspired her to become a teacher, so that she could share her passion for reading and always be surrounded by books. Erin currently teaches Kindergarten and though, at times, she feels like Ms. Frizzle with her wild avant-garde lessons, she adores her students and often draws upon memorable classroom moments in her stories. It is also through childhood stories that she addresses important topics, such as bullying, inclusion, and anxiety within the classroom setting. She believes that no matter how subtle or minuscule these issues may manifest within the classroom, ensuring that they do not go unheard is crucial for the growth of a child.https://www.erinleeauthor.com/Support the show

This afternoon, Joe is joined by special guest Erin Lee, a mother actively pushing back against the rise of woke gender ideology in schools. Erin, a mother of three from Northern Colorado, is a speaker, writer, and the founder of Stop Gender Ideology, as well as the director of Protect Kids Colorado. During the show, she recounted the harrowing experience of rescuing her 12-year-old daughter from transgender grooming within the public school system. Erin also touched on a film released last year that chronicles their story. In their discussion, Joe and Erin delved into the connection between gender indoctrination in schools and the broader Marxist agenda. They argue that this movement is ultimately pedophilic in nature, aiming to undermine traditional family values and target children at their most vulnerable. After Erin's departure, Joe addressed the recent tragic school shooting in Georgia. He pointed out that clear warning signs indicated the shooter was mentally unstable and in desperate need of help. Instead of investigating the shooter's mental health, medication, or social interactions, Joe criticized how Democrats have once again shifted the focus toward gun control, calling for further restrictions rather than addressing the root causes of such violence. Later in the show, Joe turned his attention to Eric Coomer, the fallout from stolen elections, and the harsh consequences of speaking the truth in a society where transparency is often suppressed.

You know that kindergarten teacher we all wish we'd had? That's Erin Lee. But part of what makes us all wish she'd been our teacher is the fact that in addition to being a teacher, she's an award-winning children's book author.Still, as we discuss quite a bit around here, being an amazing author doesn't always guarantee book sales. But Erin HAS sold thousands of books. So how has she done it? Well, she started dressing up as her five-year-old students to create engaging Instagram reels. These relatable and humorous videos have since fostered a thriving online community where Erin shares educational content, entertainment and promotes her books.I was actually interviewing Erin for my other podcast when I realized the information she was sharing was such book publishing GOLD that I had to switch gears and release it on this long-neglected feed.In this episode, she breaks her IG strategy down piece by piece. So good, so tactical. She actually makes Instagram sound fun AND useful. When have you last heard it described that way?

While Korean immigrants are notorious for pushing their kids to become doctors, it's worth remembering that Koreans have cultivated their own age-old approach to wellness for over 5,000 years. Hanbang – aka traditional Korean medicine – encompasses acupuncture, herbs and cupping and has lately attracted a surge of interest among both Korean Americans and Westerners. Continuing our special series on cultural topics, our hosts sit down with two respected practitioners, Dr. Erin Lee and Dr. Robert Lee, to gain an understanding of this often misunderstood field. Juliana (a Korean medicine adherent) and Catherine (a semi-skeptic) get a chance to ask their burning questions, including: How does Korean medicine differ from Chinese medicine? Is there clinical proof of the effectiveness of herbal remedies? How exactly does acupuncture work — and is it the same thing as “dry needling?” Why do Koreans fear sleeping with fans? What is cupping? How can patients find a good acupuncturist? And what's the deal with the deer antlers anyway?
