Insights: Padideh: "I would say that before you decide to file for a divorce, do everything humanly possible in order to see if you can make the marriage work. Obviously, if there are you know, domestic violence, that's something that you know cannot easily be worked out. But if there's communication problems, if there's resentments, if there are, you know, different expectations. Now, because remember, people grow right every year, somebody is growing and you want to be growing together and not growing apart. And so, I think it's important." Liz: "...turn over every stone. Let's make sure that we have looked at this left, right, upside down, backwards, inside out, to know that we've had [no] doubts there is no other way than divorce. I don't want people to leave or five years down the road say, gosh, looking back. What if? What if I found a better therapist? What if I tried harder? I want us to turn over every, every stumbling stone." William C. Dear - O.J. is Innocent and I Can Prove It May 1, 2024The shocking truth about the murders of Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman.Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman were brutally murdered at Nicole's home on Bundy Drive in Brentwood, California, on the night of June 12, 1994. The weeks and months that followed were full of spectacle, including a much-watched car chase and the eventual arrest of O. J. Simpson for the murders. The televised trial that followed was unlike any that the nation had ever seen. Long convinced of O. J.'s guilt, the world was shocked when the jury of the "trial of the century" read the verdict of not guilty. To this day, the LAPD, Los Angeles District Attorney's office, mainstream media, and much of the world at large remain firmly convinced that O. J. Simpson literally got away with murder. According to private investigator William Dear, it is precisely this assuredness that has led both the police and public to overlook a far more likely suspect. Dear now compiles more than 16 years of investigation by his team of forensic experts and presents evidence that O. J. was not the killer.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-opperman-report--1198501/support.
In October, Jose Olivares, a 39-year-old man wrongfully incarcerated for 13 years in the death of his girlfriend's son was released after a Los Angeles County judge vacated his conviction. Lawyers from two Innocence Projects and a unit of the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office had filed together to overturn his conviction. Olivares was arrested in 2011 following the tragic death of his girlfriend's almost four-year-old son from an accidental short fall. Dr. Judy Melinek, a renowned forensic pathologist, authored a report in 2023 after a thorough review at NCIP's request, and stated that an accidental short fall was the “reasonable and likely explanation” for the decedent's injuries. Everyday Injustice talks with Lauryn Barbosa Findley of the Northern California Innocence Project who worked to free Olivares. “Mr. Olivares' case is both extraordinarily unique and tragically common because faulty medical testimony has been used for too long to convict far too many loving parents and caretakers,” said NCIP Clinical Supervising Attorney Lauryn Barbosa Findley. “The facts always showed that Mr. Olivares was innocent but the medicine needed time to catch up and prove it. We strongly urge the DA's office to heed the medical evidence and not try him erroneously a second time.”

Nathan Hochman, the incoming Los Angeles District Attorney, is preparing to take on the complex case of Erik and Lyle Menendez, whose 1989 conviction for murdering their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez, in Beverly Hills has reignited public interest. This surge in attention has been fueled by Netflix's dramatized series *Monsters* and its accompanying documentary, featuring the brothers speaking from prison. However, Hochman has cautioned that public perception, influenced by these dramatizations and celebrity advocacy, may not be grounded in the complete legal facts. Hochman, who will be sworn in on Dec. 2, told the Daily Beast that he has purposely avoided watching the Netflix portrayals. “I purposely just didn't want to see [them] because what's the point?” Hochman said. “It's not like I'm going to watch the movie. I'd rather read the book.” He emphasized his intent to approach the case with a fresh and unbiased perspective, stating, “I have some vague recollections of the case 30 years ago, and that's all the more reason why I feel compelled to… really get deep into the facts, because, you know, newspaper accounts are wildly inaccurate often on what the true facts of a case look like.” The Menendez brothers' case has drawn high-profile support, including from Kim Kardashian, who, along with actor Cooper Koch, visited the brothers in prison. Kardashian later penned an essay advocating for their release. Hochman remains cautious about the influence of celebrity endorsements, stressing that such figures often lack an understanding of the intricate legal elements involved. One of outgoing DA George Gascón's final actions was to request the brothers' sentences be reduced to 50 years with the possibility of parole, which would make them eligible for release. The judge has scheduled a resentencing hearing for Dec. 11, meaning the case will be one of Hochman's first responsibilities upon assuming office. “This [case] is a high priority,” Hochman asserted. “Any time a particular case gets this level of attention, it's even that more important to get it right.” The Menendez brothers, now 56 and 53, argue they acted in self-defense after enduring years of abuse from their father. Their habeas corpus petition, filed in May 2023, claims that key evidence was excluded from their original trial. They point to a letter from 1988 as proof of their fear and cite an accusation from a former member of the boy band Menudo, who alleged sexual abuse by Jose Menendez. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge William Ryan will consider the petition at a hearing on Nov. 26. If resentenced, a parole hearing would be needed, and the decision would ultimately rest with California's parole board, whose members are appointed by Governor Gavin Newsom. Alternatively, the brothers have petitioned Newsom for clemency. Observers are divided on whether Newsom, who has political ambitions, would be willing to grant such a high-profile request. Hochman is committed to an exhaustive review of the case. “This is a perfect example where people have reached conclusions based on a very limited review of the facts and pretty much no knowledge of most of the law,” he stated. Having grown up near the Menendez family's former home and witnessed the trials as a young prosecutor, Hochman understands the case's gravity. “You want to get this one right,” he said, adding that he plans to balance his prosecutorial experience with a fair assessment of the defense's arguments. As public interest continues to grow, Hochman's approach to the case will be closely scrutinized. “What matters are the facts. What matters is justice and fairness,” Newsom has also remarked about the case, emphasizing that celebrity status should neither harm nor help the Menendez brothers. Despite widespread speculation, Hochman is committed to basing any decisions on a thorough understanding of both the facts and the law, ensuring that justice is served appropriately. On this episode, Tony Brueski digs into the stunning developments surrounding the Menendez brothers, who have spent over three decades behind bars for the brutal murder of their parents. As new evidence surfaces, including a handwritten letter from Erik Menendez revealing alleged sexual abuse by his father, the Los Angeles District Attorney's office is considering resentencing the brothers. Family members have come forward in their defense, describing the years of abuse they say the brothers endured. With a decision expected before Thanksgiving, the question now looms—could Lyle and Erik Menendez finally walk free? The case raises critical questions about how trauma is handled in the justice system and whether it's time to reevaluate how the legal system accounts for abuse in sentencing. Tony unpacks the latest developments, asking: Were the Menendez brothers victims acting out of desperation, or were they motivated by greed, as the prosecution argued? The truth may soon be revealed. William C. Dear - O.J. is Innocent and I Can Prove ItMay 10The shocking truth about the murders of Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman.Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman were brutally murdered at Nicole's home on Bundy Drive in Brentwood, California, on the night of June 12, 1994. J. was not the killer.Audio BookBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-opperman-report--1198501/support.
The McMartin preschool trial was a day care sexual abuse case in the 1980s, prosecuted by the Los Angeles District Attorney, Ira Reiner. In a shocking turn of events, video footage has emerged allegedly showing music mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs involved in a violent altercation with singer Cassie in a hotel hallway back in 2016. The video, which has recently resurfaced, has sparked new controversy surrounding Combs and his past behavior towards women. The video, which appears to have been taken by a bystander, shows Combs aggressively arguing with Cassie before grabbing her and slamming her against a wall. The incident reportedly occurred in a hotel hallway, and although the context of the argument is unclear, the footage clearly depicts a violent altercation between the two individuals. This disturbing incident further adds to the growing list of allegations of sexual misconduct against Combs. Earlier this year, federal agents raided his homes in both Los Angeles and Miami as part of a federal investigation into sex trafficking. While no charges were brought against Combs in relation to this investigation, the recent video has reignited public scrutiny of his actions towards women.Cassie, who was dating Combs at the time, has not spoken out publicly about the incident. However, the release of the video has prompted many to question the dynamic of their relationship and whether there were other instances of abuse that have yet to come to light. The incident occurred just a few months before Cassie publicly announced the end of their relationship in late 2016.It is important to note that the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office has recently stated that it is too late to file charges against Combs for the assault seen in the video. This decision has sparked outrage among those who believe that Combs should be held accountable for his alleged actions.Combs, who has built an empire in the music industry and is known for his philanthropy and business ventures, now finds himself embroiled in a scandal that could potentially tarnish his reputation. The emergence of this video, along with the ongoing federal investigation into sex trafficking, raises questions about the values and ethics of those in the spotlight. The #MeToo movement has shed light on the widespread issue of sexual misconduct and abuse in various industries, including the entertainment world. With each new allegation that comes to light, it becomes increasingly important to hold individuals accountable for their actions, regardless of their fame or influence. As the video continues to circulate online, it serves as a stark reminder that the entertainment industry still has a long way to go in addressing the issue of violence against women. The reactions to the video have been mixed, with some condemning Combs for his alleged behavior and others questioning the timing and authenticity of the footage.Regardless of the current public discourse, it is crucial that we continue to have conversations about consent, power dynamics, and the importance of creating safe spaces for victims of abuse to come forward. Only through open dialogue and a commitment to change can we hope to create a world where incidents like the one depicted in the video become a thing of the past.

Nate Cain, federal whistleblower on Hillary Clinton and Uranium One, his company owns the information on the cyber capture of Konnech/China/2020 Election.Nate Cain and Cain's business partner Harry Haury, broke a major story today about the CCP infiltration into several counties' election systems and the breach of voter and election worker data that they discovered on servers in China. This evidence was lawfully collected during contracted cybersecurity forensic and investigative work our company was hired to do for L.A. DA's Bureau of Investigation in connection with a grand jury ordered search warrant.Cain and Haury are coming forward to expose this because the Los Angeles District Attorney, George Gascon, has completely ignored evidence, has obstructed justice, dismissing the case, while rewarding the perp, and refusing to warn other counties of their own data breaches found in the evidence.L.A. DA's office has also caused injury to our company by refusing to pay us for the more than 600+ hours of work we did for them as agreed upon. Finally, we were compelled to inform the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA) as a cleared federal contractor and provide our evidence to them. They determined it was a credible threat and forwarded it on to the FBI for investigation. We have thus far, seen no action by the FBI to contain the threat, but rather a systematic suppression of any investigation in this very serious national security issue.”This is a very serious story of national security importance.Subscribe to Freedom First Network on Rumble to watch all of our shows LIVE: https://rumble.com/c/freedomfirstnetworkElevate your meals with Freedom First Beef… even if you find yourself in the middle of the apocalypse! Cain & Associates was hired by Los Angeles District Attorney's office Bureau of Investigation to conduct cyber forensic capture in the commission of a Grand Jury Authorized Search Warrant on Konnech. In the commission of doing their job, they discovered data being maintained on Chinese servers in China and provided such evidence to the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency, as required as a cleared contractor. They verified all evidence and elevated it to a national security threat, passing it onto the FBI. As far as Nate and Harry know, nothing has been done. They also provided evidence to Allegany County State Police showing how their election management data was breached and they in-turned contacted the FBI. Nate was told that the FBI was not interested.Subscribe to Freedom First Network on Rumble to watch all of our shows LIVE: https://rumble.com/c/freedomfirstnetworkElevate your meals with Freedom First Beef… even if you find yourself in the middle of the apocalypse! In this episode, we discuss why Nikki Haley is still in the race and how the Independents and Republicans truly feel about Nikki Haley. Haley clearly has no chance of winning, and I discuss how this affects the future of the presidential race and what could happen if Trump does get convicted in his current cases. Next, I discuss how housing costs are the #1 reason why Californians are leaving the state, which has a trickle-down effect on other state issues. California's environmental laws are a massive part of the housing crisis in California, I discuss how my initiative is helping combat these issues and take on the CEQA laws. If you want to help fix California's housing crisis, help us get this on the ballot at CalHomesNow.com and click “Help Us Get This On the Ballot” and we will mail you a ballot if it qualifies! I am also joined by Jennifer Horn to discuss California Corner and our first point of discussion is the debate for the Federal Office to replace Feinstein and our thoughts and who we are excited to see in the state race. We also get into California's crazy proposed laws and headlines, including a proposed law that says cars made or sold in California would not be able to go 10mph over the speed limit. Californians are very obviously fed up with the crime rates in the state, and all eyes will be on the Los Angeles District Attorney race. Lastly, I am joined by Alex Villanueva who is running for LA County Supervisor. Alex has a people-first initiative and understands the needs of the people in Los Angeles, such as affordable housing, accessible mental healthcare, hard-on-crime policies, and successful substance abuse treatment. This is a packed episode you won't want to miss!
