Continuing the Luigi's Mansion series, in this week's episode we discuss the 2013 3DS Sequel to the Gamecube cult classic. This episode was the first time we used a new microphone and we shared it so the audio quality is still not up to snuff. A volume warning for the sound effects as the recording came out quieter than we had hoped! We are working on resolving this issue.

It's been a long cold winter... and it's been hard on the ol' Fink. He hopes you enjoy this long overdue episode feature and the company of his buddies Joe (Ninsage) and Grant (GameDadGrant). There are just a ton of games to talk about this episode. Project X Zone, the Pokemon Bank, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Mario Golf: World Tour, Mario Kart 8, Yoshi's New Island, and Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy for starters... and that's me only listing every other one! Between what we've been playing and what was in February 2014's Nintendo Direct, there's just a ton to discuss... so much so that we don't even have a break for a song. Of course still we have to give a big thanks to Zero for the theme music.

We have all been playing a ton of games this week. Sean continues with Saints Row 4 as well as plays through Gone Home, a lot of Pokemon X, some of Cloudberry Kingdom and The Stanley Parable (along with Nathan and Jon). Nathan has also been playing Device 6, Spelunky and Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon. Jon is mainly playing a bunch of old games including Lego Batman 2 and Halo 3.In the news section we talk about how the PS4 is insanely expensive in Brazil, Titanfall's release date and Drive Club being delayed from the PS4 launch.
Chronicles of Mistara, Far Cry 3, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Batman: Arkham City, Skyrim, State of Decay, The Last Of Us, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil 4, Infamous: Second Son, Hitman, GTA, Revenge of Shinobi, Ghostbusters, Punisher, Mass Effect, XCOM **SPOILER ALERTS** We talk a lot about video games and movies in this episode, and we want you to be aware of some things you may consider spoilers within that discussion. Be warned: (21:00) - Teeny tiny Tomb Raider spoiler (31:15) - A regular sized Tomb Raider spoiler (33:50 - 48:15) - We talk about Man of Steel at length
We Hope to Make You Understand the Value of Those Sharks. Please Understand. Once again, it's 80s Night here at Nintendo Free Radio (settle in, folks...we're old. We're contractually obligated to do this every once in a while), and we're back to bring you the latest outdated gaming coverage in the industry. Donald kicks off New Business with Atlus' latest foray into Digital Devil madness with Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers, a 3DS port of an obscure Sega Saturn game...AND IT'S OUT RIGHT NOW! After conquering Mario's latest 3D Land, the group briefly discusses their impressions of Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. (Let us pause for a moment of silence in honor of the Twinkies analogy Hostess' demise now denies us.) Afterwards, reinforcements have arrived, as Stephen fires up the Ion Canon and spins-up an old 1st person shooter classic (?): Command & Conquer: Renegade. Meanwhile, Austen readies his laser bow and 20-sided die for a neon-lit journey through Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. Does it have The Touch, or would you Dare to Be Stupid for playing it? Finally, Austen asks "What DO you do with a Druken Whaler?" with his Dishonored replay (+ Knife of Dunwall DLC), with perhaps a Kameo from his Xbox 360 as well. After the latest sojourn into the 7th & 8th Circles of the NWR Forums with Now Posted, Whatcha Watchin' returns with a look at Donald's financial problems in Trading Places. Afterwards, Stephen decides to also kick-it old school with Naked Gun 33 1/3, as well as a round of the best game show Austen's never heard of: Let's Ask America. Finally, Austen closes the feature out with a look at Siffy's (SyFy to those of you who don't care about spelling) new Science Fiction drama Defiance. After beholding the horror that is Teen Titans Go, we then initiate the Ghost Protocol (Mission Impossible 4). Once again, the Feature Discussion doesn't have a full subject, but the Lightning Round seemed to get a charge out of you last time, so we figured we'd Electrify your Boogaloo. Topics for discussion include the Fate of E3, the Fall of LucasArts, our New Japanese Overlord, and hilariously inaccurate (in retrospect) predictions for the Microsoft Xbox One Unveiling 2 weeks ago. As always, the show wraps-up with The Mushrooms, featuring Canada's Public Enemy #1; Multiplayer Woes; and A Crack in the Tradition of Terrible Video Game Movies. We'd love to hear some feedback (even if you apparently don't), so don't be afraid to send us an email at nintendofreeradio@gmail.com or leave a comment on the Talkback! One of our international travelers has returned! Jon is back to talk about the Xbox One (or is it Xone, Xbone or X1?) and a smattering of other news, as well as Witch and Hero, that new-fangled Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and Mario's latest Minis escapade on the 3DS. Nathan finally hit the bottom of the Hotline Miami barrel (if Cactus is reading this, level-editor in the sequel, PLEASE make it happen) and is maybe too excited about Super Mario 3D Land. Is it the Majora's Mask of Mario games? Listen to find out! Oh, and some other things happened, Atari died again, someone said Mirror's Edge 2 somewhere and people freaked out, same ol' same ol'.
FEATURING: Billy stops in for a little while, and we jump into Listener Mail right away! Letters cover the satisfaction (and anxiety) of owning a Wii U right now, Nintendo's surprise cancellation of their legendary E3 press conference, and our expectations for the next 3DS hardware revision! For the aftward New Business segment, we have impressions of Nano Assault EX, Mario and DK: Minis on the Move, Darksiders 2, and Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon!

Let's hear it for the supporting character! This week, we discuss two games based off the less popular sidekicks of major franchises. First, we have the Ballad of Baird, also known as Gears of War: Judgment. The fourth game in the Gears of War franchise has more of what you've come to expect from the franchise, which means hours of carefree body mutilation. Speaking of dead stuff, Justin leans over the campfire to tell us a scary story about the time he reviewed The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct. Sticking to the ghastly theme, we finish the show with a Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, the second game in a series about the lesser-loved plumber turned ghost hunter. Is Dark Moon the 3DS's killer app? Does anyone care about 3DS when we have Super Stickman Golf 2 on our cellphones? Does the video game industry have a morbid fascination with our mutual fleeting mortality? Find out on this week's Besties! 03:00 - Gears of War: Judgment 16:30 - Half Time - The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct 29:30 - Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon 46:00 - What's next?
