Today’s guest is rewriting the rules of digital trust and security. Imagine a world where your identity is protected by a groundbreaking device — a computer embedded inside a credit card, complete with biometric sensors. This isn’t sci-fi; it’s the disruptive reality created by today’s visionary. With over 25 years of leadership in space systems, secure digital platforms, and game-changing innovation, this guest is not just building technology—he’s building the future. As the Co-Founder and CEO of Sentry Enterprises, he’s tackling the root causes of identity threats, reshaping cybersecurity, and making these cutting-edge solutions scalable and accessible for everyone. A member of Abundance360 and the Planetary Society, he’s fueled by a passion for uniting humanity through technology and breaking the boundaries of what’s possible in the digital age. Key Takeaways: 01:09 - The Problem with Traditional Identity Systems 11:20 - Credentials vs. True Identity 13:18 - Biometrics as the Future of Identity 19:41 - The Threat of Deepfakes and AI 28:43 - Decentralized Finance and Global Accessibility 36:35 - Adoption as the Biggest Challenge, and Optimism for the Future Quote of the Show: 36:08: “I do think there's going to be disruption in jobs in those kinds of things, but I think there's also going to be just an equal number of opportunities. I'm very optimistic about the future. I think we're going to see massive, rapid advances in, in healthcare, efficiencies in, and everything in an industry to government is related to these sort of tools. When it comes specifically to digital identity, the good news is that technology is here to solve those problems. Right. The biggest challenge is adoption. But, as with anything, when there's a pain point and people want it, it will get adopted, right? And, we're working and others are working with the right partners in the world, the government and others to solve these kinds of problems. So I think people should leave thinking that we have a very bright future in front of us. And despite political turmoil, all those kinds of things. Those are very short lived. The human species has proven to be very resilient. And that's beautiful.” Podcast Information Want PR that actually matters? In this episode, we chat to Mark Bennett, Executive Chairman at S2 Resources, an Australian company that aims to discover and develop high-value mineral resources, mainly gold and base metals in politically stable jurisdictions such as Australia and Europe. Mark is a geologist with over 30 years of experience in gold, nickel, and base metal exploration and mining predominately in Australia, West Africa, Canada, and Europe, and worked his way into executive positions over the last 15 years. Mark is also two times winner of the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies "Prospector Award" for his discoveries which include the Thunderbox Gold Mine, the Waterloo nickel mine, and most recently the world class Nova-Bollinger nickel-copper mine. Mark gives us an overview of S2 Resources, the projects they are working on, and speaks about cultural and strategy within small and large companies which is a strong passion of his. He's also going to be attending the upcoming IMARC Conference in Sydney on the 29-31st October at the Sydney Convention Centre so there's a link below to purchase discounted tickets so you can meet Mark and other like-minded mining professionals at the event so be sure to get your ticket soon. KEY TAKEAWAYS The journey into the mining industry can be unpredictable, with opportunities often arising from taking risks and being proactive. Networking and applying for jobs, even in challenging times, can increase the likelihood of success. A strong organisational culture is crucial, especially in exploration where failure rates are high. A positive culture fosters resilience, innovation, and open communication, which are essential for navigating the ups and downs of the industry. S2 Resources focuses on exploring in stable jurisdictions and prioritises projects with the potential for significant discoveries. The company emphasises a strategic approach to exploration, balancing patience with the need to adapt and seize opportunities. Engagement with Traditional Owners: Building trust and respect with local communities, particularly Indigenous groups, is vital for successful mining operations. Effective engagement can lead to mutually beneficial agreements and a more sustainable approach to resource development. BEST MOMENTS "If you don't have a good culture, you just go crazy doing that. You've got to believe in what you're doing and you have to be adaptive as well."  "The irony will be, I think, that in 10 or 15 years' time, the people who most want a lower carbon emission future are going to find that the prices of commodities to create that are just astronomical."  "It's about quality, not quantity. People would come in in shorts and t-shirts."  "There's no certainty but you've just got to put it out there and by taking that risk... will put you in good stead in the front of the queue." Send us a textIn today's episode, I had the pleasure of speaking with Mark Bennett, a Performance Architect whose work in performance psychology has shaped the way individuals and teams think about success. Our conversation dove into some powerful concepts that have the potential to transform the way you approach both performance and well-being in your life and work.Mark Bennett has worked with elite athletes from multiple different sports for more than 25 years. As well he works closely with business leaders and other organisations helping them create the formula for success in their companies. Mark's approach, is built on the foundational principle that "performance is a behavior, not an outcome," In our conversation, he offers profound insights into how we can shift our focus from results to actions—actions that, when consistently applied, lead to lasting success. We also explored his unique philosophy on need-centered coaching, which differs from the traditional athlete- or person-centered models, as well as the symbiotic relationship between performance and wellness. Mark argues that many organizations treat wellness as a safety net rather than a proactive investment, and that shift in mindset is critical to maximizing potential. There are plenty of tools and strategies you will walk away with in this episode such as the Action Review Process, a tool that improves judgment and self-awareness in real-time, an essential foundation for anyone seeking to better themselves and their skillset, whether in sports or business. Mark's approach is deeply rooted in the fundamental believe that we are the drivers of our own growth and learning and that once we make a decision we must fully commit to it and execute. Regardless of success or failure, fully committing and executing is the key to this process of learning which is also deeply rooted in honest, genuine reflection that allows us to truly unpack what went well and what we might do better next time around. You'll find out about this and so much more in our conversation today.  Thank you for listening this episode and please do share it with anyone who you feel will benefit from tuning in. Connect with Mark Bennett:Website LinkedIn Twitter 'X'YouTube 25% Discount Code for Mark's Online Training Resources- yourlife25 You can access his training hereFind out about Edge Golf College here

Have a comment? I'd love to hear from you! S.4 Sp.4 - Extreme Eating Part 1: The Carnivore Diet, with Nutritional Therapist Mark Bennett. This week I spoke to Nutritional Therapist Mark Bennett. We spoke about extreme diets, specifically about the carnivore approach which is animal only products. We discussed its effectiveness, safety and how to implement and follow it properly. We also spoke about what happens in the body while its being followed. Mark has been on MM before, we spoke previously about Sugar, Sweeteners and Metabolic Damage (S.3 / Ep.18). We had a great chat then, and he agreed to come back on to discuss this topic with me.I'm very interested in nutrition generally, but especially in the extremes - from pure meat, to no meat - so I'll be covering the vegan approach too.The carnivore diet is a restrictive eating plan that involves consuming only animal products, such as meat, fish, and animal-derived foods like eggs and certain dairy products. It excludes all plant-based foods, including fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, and seeds. The rationale behind this diet is that humans evolved primarily as meat-eaters and that consuming animal products exclusively can provide all essential nutrients.Proponents of the carnivore diet claim various health benefits, including weight loss, improved mental clarity, and relief from autoimmune conditions. However, the scientific evidence supporting these claims is limited and mostly anecdotal.Nutritionally, the carnivore diet can provide adequate protein and fats, including essential fatty acids and amino acids. However, there are concerns about potential nutrient deficiencies, such as vitamin C, fiber, and certain phytonutrients found in plant foods. Additionally, long-term adherence to the diet raises concerns about cardiovascular health due to high saturated fat intake and the potential impact on gut microbiota due to the lack of dietary fiber.Research on the carnivore diet is still in its early stages, and more studies are needed to fully understand its health impacts and sustainability.Mark BennettNutritional Therapist BSc (Hons) BA (Hons) mBANT CNHCCertified Gluten PractitionerNutrigenetic CounsellorMark is a functionally trained and qualified Nutritional Therapist, having achieved a first class honours nutritional therapy science degree. Functional medicine looks at the body as a whole and is focussed on identifying the causes of chronic disease rather than symptomatic relief. In a world increasingly driven by digital transformation, the robustness of enterprise connectivity can often go unnoticed—until it doesn't. Today on Tech Talks Daily, we have the pleasure of hosting Mark Bennett, Head of Global Enterprise Networking Products at Vodafone Business, to discuss the pivotal role connectivity plays in modern business operations. Vodafone Business, a primary growth engine within the global Vodafone Group, stands at the forefront of enterprise connectivity, boasting a revenue of approximately $8.7 billion. The company's commitment is not just about maintaining connections but enhancing business capabilities through digital transformation. During this episode, Mark provides us with a deeper insight into the lesser-known yet critical side of Vodafone Business. He details their comprehensive portfolio, which spans IoT, cloud, security, analytics, unified communications, and more, catering from small enterprises to large multinational corporations. With today's enterprise networks becoming increasingly complex, the convergence of software-defined wide-area networks with security at the forefront—driven by hybrid working and cloud adoption—is more crucial than ever. Mark discusses the strategic importance of SAS and cloud integration, highlighting the significant role of Vodafone Business in supporting their customers through these transitions. Moreover, Mark sheds light on the transformative impacts of network automation. Despite a large portion of the industry still managing networks manually, Vodafone Business is pushing the boundaries by implementing AI and automation to enhance operational productivity and end-user experience. A jury convicted Danny Masterson of two counts of forcible rape in California state court, and the judge just sentenced him to thirty years.  It was a daunting task for his lawyers, because Masterson maintained his innocence to the bitter end.  If the lawyers could have successfully threaded that needle, then Masterson would have potentially received fifteen years instead of thirty. Unfortunately, the sentencing presentation hit all the wrong notes.  Moreover, there was massive blowback over the sentencing letters submitted on his behalf, particularly the ones from his famous friends, including Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis. The letters did more harm than good, not only for Mr. Masterson, but for those who, with all good intentions, were offering their support. Therefore, join us for a whole lotta teachable moments as we dissect every aspect of Masterson's Sentencing with our good friend and colleague, Mark Allenbaugh.   IN THIS EPISODE:   Quality over quantity when it comes to sentencing letters; How to tell a mitigation story for a client who maintains their innocence at sentencing; How lawyers must lead and actively manage the mitigation narrative, particularly when it comes to sentencing letters; How tone deafness can result in the deafening sound of your bell being rung on the big day; The dangerous territory of using your kids/family as a sympathy ploy at sentencing; What we can learn from how the victims' statements far outweighed the supporters statements in terms of their emotional power and persuasion.   LINKS & FREE RESOURCES: www.sentencingstats.com www.zeropointoffender.com We talked a lot about a great article by a former federal Judge, Mark Bennett about his five rules for sentencing allocution.  To download the article, visit the shownotes for this episode at www.setforsentencing.com/podcast/masterson/ Lastly, we talked about the "3Rs" of sentencing mitigation.  If this is new to you, and you want to download the article Doug Passon wrote on this subject, same deal... visit the shownotes for this episode!   www.setforsentencing.com/podcast/masterson/

Mark Bennett MBE makes a welcome return to the podcast. Mark has been a very popular guest in the past and he is back by popular demand. Mark was part of the physical training team within the Royal Marine Commando training school before taking his ideas about human development into civiian life with a major focus on sport. As always, it is a fascinating conversation...in this episode we cover...- Performance Development Systems (PDS) aims to help athletes and coaches achieve their full potential by focusing on behavioral and attitudinal aspects of human development processes. - The distinction between individuals with a 'Performance' mindset from individuals with a 'leisure' mindset. - 'Performance' orientated individuals commit to being the best they can be in all aspects of their lives, including sleep, nutrition, and wellness. Leisure athletes may only commit to aspects they enjoy and when supervised. 'Leisure' orientated athletes might be committed at certain times but will not do this at all times or in all areas of their life. - Establishing clear expectations and understanding in coaching is important, particularly in defining acceptable, unacceptable, and exceptional behavior.- The baseline game helps athletes identify the strengths and weaknesses of their opponents, encouraging communication, decision-making, and ownership of their performance and development.- The rule of three in coaching helps athletes self-regulate their behavior, interactions, and focus during practice, emphasizing mindfulness and observation from the coach.- Identifying a team's "lighthouse" or reference point enables coaches and athletes to design and execute sessions that align with their desired goals and outcomes.- Committing to change and pursuing excellence through PDS can lead to growth and success in both personal and professional aspects of life.- Coaches and athletes should hold each other accountable for their actions and ensure they align with their aspirations and goals.- Reassessing goals and adjusting expectations based on reality data and individual capabilities can help prevent giving up on goals altogether.- Performance Development Systems offer extensive resources, workshops, and master classes to help coaches, athletes, and individuals achieve their goals and improve their lives.
