Vandaag praten we verder over de vraag waarom Pinkpop zo kwetsbaar is voor een tegenvallend programma. Conclusie van het festival zelf: we moeten meer investeren in sfeer buiten de vier podia om. We denken graag mee: hoe kan dat op het grote veld van Megaland? En verder: Brat Summer is begonnen. Als je ook maar een béétje een sprankelende online persoonlijkheid hebt, kleurde je Instagram-tijdlijn afgelopen weken groen van de Brat-memes, de verwijzingen naar het zesde album van Charli XCX. De Britse popster heeft in haar hoekje het popmomentum van 2024 te pakken, door zelf een zorgvuldig berekende hypemachine te bouwen. En daar slaan wij bij de Machine natuurlijk ontzettend op aan.

The thought of tackling an obstacle course is probably enough to make most of us break out in hives. But what about a gigantic bouncy castle billed as one of the largest inflatable obstacle courses in the world? Megaland is a colossal inflatable obstacle course, measuring an epic 300 meters long with 43 challenging obstacles along the way. Andrew Broadley is one of the punters that has been put to the test at Mt Smart Stadium, where Megland will be until October 15.

Lockdown has led to the realisation of a long held ambition to create an adult sized inflatable obstacle course. Corey Ealand talks to Jesse about the creation of Megaland.

That means it's time to run down some of the hottest games everyone's talking about, plus lots of reviews of our recent plays from Origins.  To kick things off, we chat about the recently announced Spiel des Jahres winners - Azul, Die Quacksalber von Quedlinburg, and Dragon's Breath.  Then we read listener answers to our question of the week, which asked, "What criteria do you use when/if culling your board game collection?" - a spot on question for convention season.  Next up, in our acquisition disorders, Anthony looks at the newest Vital Lacerda game, Escape Plan, on Kickstarter right now.
