Eine Person erzählt ungekürzt ihre Geschichte.. 1998 kauft Ilianas Vater eine verlassene Plantage in der Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. Kein Zufahrtsweg, alte Bäume, eine Gegend, die niemand für Kaffee auf dem Schirm hat. Sein Weg in den Markt heisst Zertifizierung: vier Jahre Umstellung, 2004 der erste Verkauf von Bio-Kaffee in die USA. Danach Kanada, Japan, Südkorea, Australien, dazu Rainforest Alliance, UTZ, Bird Friendly. Eine Zeit lang ist die Farm die einzige in ganz Kolumbien, die jeden verfügbaren Standard erfüllt. Zwanzig Jahre später zieht seine Tochter Iliana Bilanz und kommt zu einem unbequemen Ergebnis: Der Aufwand bleibt zwar, aber die Prämie nicht. Den Leuten auf der Farm geht es dadurch nicht besser. Und Kunden, mit denen sie seit fünfzehn Jahren arbeitet, misstrauen ihr ohne Siegel. Seit 2023 zahlt die Finca Puerto Rico keiner Zertifizierungsstelle mehr etwas. Sie verkauft trotzdem, unter anderem an uns. Eine Folge über die Frage, wer bei Nachhaltigkeitsstandards eigentlich wem was beweist, und wer dafür bezahlt.

Ada seorangwanita bernama Marta, yang sudah kawin dengan seorang suami yang sangat sabar,penyayang dan bertanggung jawab. Mereka dikaruniai tiga anak. Marta berceritabahwa tahun-tahun pertama hidup berkeluarga, suaminya yang sangat baik itusangat membantunya untuk mengatasi sikap bawaannya yang selalu kawatir. Banyakhal ia kawatirkan sehingga membuatnya dirinya sangat tertutup. Tetapi denganberjalannya waktu, sifat itu akhirnya berubah. Ibu Marta melihat dirinya bukan sebagai satu-satunya manusia yang pernahsangat tersiksa oleh sifat kawatirnya, tetapi ia menemukan bahwa profil Martadi dalam Injil juga memiliki sifat kawatir yang sama. Marta di dalam Injil, palingkurang disebutkan dalam dua peristiwa ketika ia ditegur oleh Yesus Kristuskarena sifat kawatirnya yang berakibat pada penghayatan iman yang rapuh. Iapernah ditegur oleh Yesus ketika ia begitu sibuk dengan pekerjaan di rumahuntuk melayani Yesus yang bertamu, sementara Maria saudarinya duduk dekatYesus. Ia juga pernah ditegur oleh Yesus ketika ia tidak yakin bahwa saudaranyaLazarus pasti bangkit dari kematian hanya dengan jalan iman kepada Kristus.  Rasa kawatir juga ditunjukkan oleh nabi Yeremia, ketika ia memang menyukurikelahirannya ke dunia dari ibunya, tetapi ia sangat kawatir dengan hidupnyasebagai seorang abdi Allah yang tidak sanggup menghadapi musuh-musuhnya. Iasepertinya hilang keyakinan kepada Tuhan. Pengalaman-pengalaman kekawatiranyang kita sebutkan ini cukup memberikan kita gambaran bahwa sifat kawatirmemiliki kekurangan yang harus diatasi. Sebab kalau tidak diatasi, ia akanmenjadi ketakutan yang pasti lebih merugikan dari pada menjadi berkat. Sifat kawatir mesti diatasi supaya kita dapat menjadi orang yang terbukadan mengisi hidup kita dengan berbagai inisiatif serta kreativitas dalammembawa kebaikan bagi hidup bersama. Perlu diingat bahwa, satu saja rasakawatir yang menguasai dirimu, Anda sudah menghilangkan satu kesempatan untukberbuat baik. Sifat kawatir juga mesti dapat kita atasi supaya kita semakinmemiliki keyakinan kepada Tuhan yang selain menyertai kita setiap saat, tetapisedang bekerja di dalam diri kita. Satu rasa kawatir saja, sudah menjauhkankita satu meter dari Tuhan yang sesungguhnya berada bersama kita. Santa Marta, demikian juga Maria dan Lazarus yang kita rayakan hari inimengingatkan kita satu hal ini: yaitu bahwa meskipun kita kawatir akan siapadan apa saja di dalam hidup kita, satu hal yang tidak boleh hilang dari kitaialah selalu memandang dan mendengarkan Tuhan yang menegur, menyapa danmenerangi hidup kita. Marilah kita berdoa.Dalam nama Bapa... A group of 57 nations mostly from the Global South, describing themselves as "coalition of the willing" intent on making the Transition Away From Fossil Fuels, or TAFF, convened in the Colombian city of Santa Marta, from April 24-29, 2026, for the inaugural TAFF summit. Also referred to as the "Santa Marta Coalition," this group of countries met to discuss and develop frameworks and pathways for nations to phase out fossil fuel dependency. Joining the Mongabay Newscast this week is Mamphela Ramphele, a medical doctor, activist and member of the Planetary Guardians, a network of experts advocating for the planetary boundaries as a measurement framework. Ramphele explains the highlights of the conference, which included the unveiling of a dedicated scientific panel to advise nations on developing road maps to transition off fossil fuels. The science panel includes experts such as Carlos Nobre from Brazil and Johan Rockström from Sweden, who pioneered the planetary boundaries concept. The conference also saw the establishment of "workstreams" to help nations connect their phaseout road maps to their emissions reduction targets as part of their U.N. climate commitments; leverage support to change their financial systems for the transition; and reform trade systems. Two nations in attendance, Colombia and France, announced their own phaseout road maps at the conference. Ramphele, from South Africa, suggests that as countries in the Santa Marta Coalition develop and implement their own road maps, other nations not yet on board will eventually be pressured to follow. Until a legally binding agreement, such as the one advocated for by the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty, this is the most immediate path forward, Ramphele says.  "We champion for a legally binding agreement. We get the coalition of the willing to start implementing, and by both positive stories that come out of it and moral suasion, we get people to buy into it." At COP28 in December 2023, the world committed to transitioning away from fossil fuels. Yet in the years since, there’s been little progress. A meeting in Colombia last month hoped to change that, gathering ministers and climate envoys from 57 countries to try and chart a path to end the use of fossil fuels. At the end of April, Colombia and the Netherlands co-hosted a climate conference in Santa Marta that brought nearly 60 nations together to strategize on ways to transition off of fossil fuels. The genesis for the conference is the failure of the United Nations Conference of Parties process over the past 30 years to respond effectively to the growing climate crisis. Clearing the FOG speaks with climate activist and author, Anthony Karefa Rogers-Wright, who was part of an Afro-descendant delegation to the conference and a people's summit that took place before the Santa Marta Conference. Rogers-Wright discusses the challenges we continue to face in building a climate justice movement that focuses on the integral crises of White Supremacy, racism, imperialism, colonialism and patriarchy.
