Romans Vol. 1 - Coming Under GraceWe live in a self-made echo chamber—God's voice is loud in creation, but we plug our ears and call it silence. The problem isn't that we don't know the truth; it's that we don't want it.Sermon Preached by Chris Lewis on May 18, 2025Foothill Church exists to glorify God by living as disciples of Jesus who make disciples of Jesus. https://foothill.churchLearn about our For the Sake of His Name 2-Year Discipleship Journey: https://foothill.church/FTSOHN
It's claimed the increased cost of implementing the wastewater treatment schemes in Broadford and Cooraclare is no excuse not to deliver the projects on time. At this month's meeting of Clare County Council, Doonbeg Fianna Fáil councillor, Rita McInerney, requested an update on the current status and progress of the schemes which were announced in December of 2023. In response, Clare County Council says the projects' estimated delivery remains between three and five years, and additional funding at government level should be sought. Councillor McInerney says the projects have been committed to and must be delivered with haste.

The Bills went heavy on drafting defensive prospects in last weekend's NFL Draft. Matt Parrino of Syracuse. com joins Danger and Battaglia in The Sports Bar to dissect the picks and react to Brandon Beane's defense of not selecting a wide receiver before the seventh round. Love the show? Share it! Listen, subscribe, and tell a friend!
On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Joe From Queens to discuss several topics, including how with all the resources allocated to the Buffalo Bills defense through free agency and now the draft, it better be a unit that looks dramatically better in 2025.Since the 2024 season ended with an AFC title game loss at Arrowhead against Kansas City, the Bills notable offensive changes have consisted of signing Josh Palmer and Laviska Shenault while letting Mack Hollins and Amari Cooper walk. They failed to add a wide receiver until the seventh round of this latest NFL draft and did grab a primarily blocking tight end late in the fifth. Meanwhile they signed Joey Bosa, Larry Ogunjobi, Michael Hoecht, Darrick Forrest, Tre White and and Dane Jackson in free agency. They then proceeded to use their first five picks and six of the first seven on defense in the draft. It's essentially an entire defensive makeover from last year. That's fine, but as the guys discuss it better lead to consistently positive changes because if it doesn't, especially come January it should be a direct indictment against Brandon Beane, Sean McDermott, Bobby Babich and other defensive coaches. They also spend some time talking Joe's trip to Western New York over the past week, including meeting up with Patrick at Resurgence Brewing last Thursday for a Bills draft party and live podcast afterwards. That plus another Mt. Flushmore, fan comments and much more.Major props to Talking Buffalo sponsor, Sonny Red's at 1841 Abbott Road in Lackawanna, just minutes from Highmark Stadium. We consider them THE most underrated spot for wings, pizza and other great food in Western New York plus it's a great place to drink and have a great time.♦♦♦♦♦Follow Patrick Moran/Talking Buffalo Podcast Substack: Patrick Moran's SubstackTwitter: @PatrickMoranTBBlue Sky: @PatrickMoranTB.bsky.socialInstagram: @PatrickMoranTBFacebook: Talking Buffalo Podcast

Many believe they will escape God's judgment because they are “good” people. But in Romans 2, Paul dismantles that false security. The moral person is just as guilty before God as the immoral person. No excuse will stand on judgment day—not ignorance, not good deeds, not religious rituals. In this episode of Wisdom for the Heart, Stephen Davey unpacks four reasons why no one has an excuse before God—creation, conscience, morality, and memory. And he warns that there is only one way of escape: through Jesus Christ. Don't miss this compelling message about the reality of divine judgment and the urgent need for repentance.

This week, the gang pit albums chosen by Steve to go head to head track by track against each other to see which album comes out on top. WASP's self-titled debut goes up against "The Last Command," Twisted Sister's "Come Out and Play" battles " You Can't Stop Rock and Roll", Saxon's "Innocence is No Excuse" takes on "Rock the Nations" and Night Ranger's "Dawn Patrol" dukes it out with "7 Wishes." Which battle ends up in a dead tie? Can everyone get behind the cheesiness of "Leader of the Pack?" Tune in to find out! Special Thanks to Rob Karhukangas for being our virtual tie breaker! This invitation has also been made to us, so how should we respond? How can we stop making excuses, and take steps to move towards the “banquet”?Daniel Tse: 心想事成 means "May the desires of your heart come true"! Did you know that the Bible actually gives us the key to receiving the desires of our hearts? The saying, “It could always be worse” seems like harmless advice or a way to stay positive, but in reality, it often dismisses the struggles we face, keeps us stuck, and even excuses behavior or situations that aren't okay. The Indianapolis Colts have no excuse to losing to the Denver Broncos 13-31. Is the loss on the shoulders of Jonathan Taylor? Was the pick-6 A.D. Mitchell's fault? Michael Pittman Jr.'s fumble...defensive credit, or WR's fault? Special Teams punt return coverage was absolutely terrible! Why the hell did Shane Steichen go for it on 4th and 6, with 12 minutes left!? Anthony Richardson's play was his worst of the year. Matt Gay has played very good football the past 2 months. The defense had their best game of the year. This is a talented NFL team. It needs better leadership.

The bad news is that Harris is up in the polls, Republicans are down a lot in Senate races, and Democrats have tended to outperform their polling. The good news, however, is that Harris clearly has not gotten a bounce out of the convention and is now trying to run away from the open-border and Green New Deal policies. What this all demonstrates is that if we can make the election about the issues, Harris will lose. I make the case why it's better to have the budget fight over release of dangerous illegal aliens into our neighborhoods than about the SAVE Act, as being pushed by House Republicans. We also discuss the "political activism Chernobyl" and how there are no conservative players on the field fighting any issue in the states. We are only losing these ballot initiatives because we fail to fight back. We're seeing signs of life now in Florida against the abortion amendment. Finally, I discuss the good and bad news from last night's Oklahoma elections, the need to prepare for legislative sessions, and the imperative to change state laws to get rid of “nonpartisan” elections for local office.
