Our next guest on A2 THE SHOW is Gül Sönmez Palumbo, a transformational energy coach with a background in major corporations like P&G, Coca-Cola, and Amazon. After experiencing a profound personal shift, she dedicated her life to helping others break free from stress, trauma, and limiting beliefs. Anna Palumbo (SO/SP 9w8 973) is a Type 9 mother who has been undergoing a profound transformation—untangling herself from patterns of enmeshment and reconnecting with her own life-force. In this episode, we focus on Anna's relationship with her Type 6 daughter and how her Type 9 tendency to merge initially obscured her ability to be present with her daughter's reactivity. We also explore the Positive Outlook reflex of Type 9 and its dynamic tension with the "point-out-the-problem" and "raise-the-alarm" tendency of Type 6. Anna brings remarkable clarity, grace, and self-awareness to this discussion, offering a rare, high-resolution look at the inner experience of a 9 navigating parenthood and the individuation journey. Empowering others is about more than offering guidance; it's about recognizing the unique strengths within each person and nurturing their potential to make them feel valued, confident, and capable. When we take the time to listen, encourage, and invest genuinely in each other, we create a foundation of support where everyone can thrive. This isn't just an individual effort—it's a collective commitment to lift each other up. By fostering an environment where people feel safe, heard, and inspired to reach new heights, we generate a ripple effect of resilience, growth, and connection that has the power to transform entire communities and shape a future where everyone has the chance to shine.Natasha Palumbo and I have had our great conversation and find out what our why's ideas to building people up.
Rob founded Outpoint in 2020 to help marketers optimize their ad spend. He was a growth marketer and his founder a data scientist. He had team-market fit, a solid thesis, and paying customers. But when the recession hit and ad spend dropped, growth ground to a halt. Nothing he did could revitalize growth. Ultimately, he decreased expenses and exited. He was able to return some cash to investors, find a home for his team and keep the product going. You tend to hear about what happens to the best 1% of startups. In this Veterans Day episode, Mr. Palumbo explores General Smedley Butler's 1935 pamphlet "War Is a Racket", where Butler exposes how wars benefit arms dealers and corporations, not the soldiers who fight them. The episode also reflects on Eisenhower's warning about the military-industrial complex, highlighting its continued relevance. Mr. Palumbo argues that to truly honor veterans, we must end the cycle of endless wars that serve the few at the expense of many.
