Hey, Mama, you've heard you need to process emotions, but what does it mean? In this episode, Natalie shares how to process those big emotions with God's help, so you can find peace and joy in the chaos of motherhood. Through personal stories, biblical encouragement, and practical steps, Natalie guides you to notice, name, and work through your emotions. Plus, learn how to start today with her free Trigger Tracker!Key Points:What is Processing Emotions? Processing emotions means noticing, naming, and working through feelings like anger, guilt, shame, and overwhelm with God's guidance, rather than suppressing or exploding. Why It Matters: Emotions are God-given, and even Jesus felt anger and sorrow. Processing them helps you break free from destructive cycles and find joy in motherhood.Three Practical Steps:Notice and Name the Emotion: Pause when triggered and identify what you're feeling (e.g., anger, shame). Use the Trigger Tracker to pinpoint what sparked it.Bring It to God: Pray honestly or journal about your emotions, offering them to God. He can handle your mess!Reframe and Respond: Ask God for truth, then take one small action—like apologizing, taking a break, or reaching out to a friend.Overcoming Barriers: God's grace covers guilt and shame (2 Corinthians 12:9). Start small to combat overwhelm, and break isolation by connecting with others. The Goal: Less yelling, more laughter, and a lighter heart as you process emotions with God.Scripture References:Psalm 34:18: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”James 1:19-20: “Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.”Lamentations 3:22-23: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end.”Philippians 4:6-7: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”2 Corinthians 12:9: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”Tools & Links: Help! Hosted by Dr. Geneva DeVaughn, Spiritual Life Coordinator II - Star of Hope Mission. This is a brief inspirational message sure to touch your heart.
Do you know why so many of us struggle with prayer? Because we've been told to do it but not taught how. The Bible offers a simple pattern for prayer that you can follow: Praise, Purify, and Present. Praise - Praise is thanking God for what He had already done in our lives. What blessings do you have? A good job? Healthy children? Food in the fridge? Starting prayer with praise shifts the focus from what we need to who God is. This week, before you ask for anything, thank God for past blessings. Purify - Then, we want to prepare our hearts for God. That means, asking God to reveal anything in our lives that needs to change—bad attitudes, habits, or hurts—and let God cleanse us. When you're honest with God (and yourself), it draws you closer to Him. Present - The final step is bringing a gift to God. God asks us to offer ourselves as that gift —our thoughts, words, actions, and priorities. This means dedicating every part of our lives to Him, trusting Him with our jobs, families, and dreams. We present our needs to God and trust in Him to guide us! By following this pattern of Praise, Purify, Present, we can cultivate a deeper, more meaningful connection in our spiritual lives. Prayer becomes more than a routine—it's a personal exchange with a God who provides unconditional love and guidance. Watch this message from Pastor Zachary Taylor to learn more about the pattern to take when praying. #LearnHowToPray #PrayFirst #LiquidChurch

How many times have you heard about the separation of church and state? I'm guessing a lot! But usually, it's from Christians who think that it is in the Bible (it is not). It comes from secularists who think that it comes from the US Constitution (it does not). Every election cycle brings with it the dilemma: Should Christians be involved in politics? If so, to what degree?I. ComplexityII. PolicyIII. ResponsibilityTalk with God: Pray for our elected leaders and candidates and ask the Lord for wisdom and clarity as you get ready to vote.Talk with others: Encourage a believer who is anxious about the upcoming election and remind them that “no purpose of [God's] can be thwarted” (Job 42:2, ESV).Talk with kids: How does learning about God help us receive courage?

Saving anyone from death would, of course, be a noble goal. If physical death threatens someone and we can help them avert it, we should by all means try to do so. But especially if there is a risk of spiritual, eternal death, we should step in and try to stop it. Today I will share the four musts of saving a soul from death. These four ingredients are needed for every Christian life.I. Restoration Must Be Our PlanII. Admonition Must Be Our CallIII. Conversion Must Be Our GoalIV. Salvation Must Be The ResultTalk with God: Pray for an unbelieving or backslidden friend or family member and take comfort in knowing God's Word “shall not return…void” (Isaiah 55:11).Talk with others: Sharpen another believer (see Proverbs 27:17) this week through gentle, Spirit-led correction, encouraging words, or time spent praying together.Talk with kids: What difficulties did Paul and Barnabas have to endure while sharing the gospel?
In this powerful message, Pastor David Uth explores the essential role of prayer in our lives. Drawing from 1 Timothy 2:1-4, he highlights three types of prayer that we can incorporate into our daily routines. Whether praying for ourselves, others, or our leaders, these prayers align with the life God desires for us (08/18/2024)
In this months episode Andy will talk all about how best parents can make the most of Spiritual guiding there kids and how we as leaders can guide the parents to do so.Check us out!WebsiteInstagramShow Notes:In Matthew 28, Jesus calls us to follow him and make disciples of all nations. We are to teach others to follow him well. This includes children and young people. The Great Commission has no age limitations!Spiritual formation, as stated in Romans 12:2, is the process of becoming more like Jesus in our thoughts, words, and actions. It is about being transformed by the Holy Spirit and becoming more like Christ in our character and behaviour. As the spiritual writer and teacher Henri Nouwen once said, "Spiritual formation is the process of being formed in the image of Christ for the sake of others."OneHope, a global Scripture engagement ministry, recently completed a worldwide study of teens calledGlobal Youth CultureIn the study, 43% of teens globally identified as Christian. However, far fewer could be called Committed Christians. To be a Committed Christian, you had to have six traits: four foundational beliefs and two spiritual disciplines. It was actually pretty basic, let's take a look:To be a committed Christian, teens had to:● Believe God exists and they can have a personal relationship with him● Believe Jesus is the Son of God● Believe forgiveness of sins is possible through Jesus Christ● Believe the Bible is the Word of God● Pray at least weekly● Read the Bible at least weeklyThe number of Committed Christians in the study was just 7%! 43% Christian - 7% committed. In Australia it drops from 32% down to 3%Children need to know what the Bible teaches so they can understand its more complex concepts as they grow older.Research that OneHope did in partnership with Barna showed that the majority of parents choose their church because of the children's program. This research happened in the US, but the concept holds true in other places. Making children a priority and teaching them well matters a lot to families. It draws them into the faith community where they can all be discipled and encouraged.Help them understand that they can talk to God through prayer any time. They can read the Bible and worship any time. Children don't have as many barriers and doubts as adults do. They are ready to believe that God is real and wants to be involved in their lives. We should encourage this faith and trust. Finally, we are going to look at a very important point–the role of family. The survey of parents in the US. It showed that 80% of Christian parents agree they are primarily responsible for the faith development of their child. However, only 25% say they are in a good place with their faith related interactions. That's a big drop!As 1 Corinthians 11:1 says, "Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ." Our children will learn more from observing our actions than from our words. We can show them daily the importance of putting our beliefs into practice. This can include things like regular family devotions, praying together, and having open discussions about faith. There are countless opportunities to have spiritual conversations and teaching moments. As a dad of three, I can attest to this!Deuteronomy 6:4-9 tells us that parents have a responsibility to teach their children about God and His commandments so that they may follow Him all the days of their life. Proverbs 22:6 echoes this: "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it."Let's help children start this journey so they can follow Jesus and look more like him every day.

We discuss the transformative power of prayer and how cultivating a prayerful lifestyle can positively impact our lives and the world around us. Moses prayed on the mountain, and God restored his people. Hannah desperately prayed for a child and was blessed with Samuel. Jesus spent prolonged time in prayer, strengthening his connection with God! Clearly, prayer works!! but how? Science shows that prayer can reduce stress, aid relaxation and promote gratitude. On a deeper level, prayer opens our hearts to God's will, love, and guidance. It lifts burdens and replaces worry with hope. Matthews 21:22 Jesus promises, "If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." When we pray with faith as small as a mustard seed, mountains will MOVE! So, set a dedicated time for praying, Pray throughout the day Bring all requests to God Pray scripture to meditate on the truth (Daily Affirmations) find creative ways to pray such as walking in nature while praying write your prayers down and reflect on them later to see how God has answered them If you find this information helpful please share this episode with others and leave us a positive review. When we think about God, we often imagine Him as a being far away, just sitting on a throne in heaven and watching us from a distance. But the truth is, God is always close by and available to us — and we can always reach Him through prayer. In this episode, Matt shares the powerful lessons he learned from Marianna Williamson's Everyday Grace. He emphasizes the importance of prayer and how it can help you lead a fruitful life. Prayer draws us closer to God and helps us heal from the things weighing us down. Here are some power takeaways from today's conversation: Surrender your pain and suffering to God Pray every day Ask God for a miracle Always strive to live in God's will Love and forgive others Episode Highlights: [01:06] Let Go and Let God Some people may believe that if they want something, they have to grind to get it — as if God has no part in their achievements. But external success will not give you true happiness and peace. Attachment to the external world is a life that is setting you up to suffer. No problem is too hard for God to solve. No matter what you are going through, God is more powerful than any suffering. [05:57] The Power of Prayer To pray is to take spiritual action. When you have a problem, say a simple prayer. Miracles can happen at any moment. When there is a change in your perception from fear to love, then that is a miracle. Make prayer a daily habit. [09:51] What Keeps Us From Asking For Miracles Because our suffering is familiar, we might not ask for miracles. But you have to give that up to find true peace. The ego drives a wedge between God and us. Other times, we do not ask for miracles because we do not trust God. Or perhaps we do not want to relinquish control. But life becomes so much easier when we give everything up to God and stop carrying everything on our shoulders. [14:36] The Importance of Forgiveness We are on earth to love and forgive. Forgiveness sets people free. Your heart becomes open. It creates space for blessings and miracles to appear in your life. Your ego wants you to act with lovelessness but recognize that when you make mistakes — and you do — you'll want forgiveness. [19:41] Living God's Will Miracles happen when you allow them. God sustains your entire existence. Without God, you may not even be here. Every experience is a gift, even the painful and sad ones. Your job is to show up in the most loving, joyful, and inspired way possible. [25:16] Love and Be Loved Our relationship with God is our relationship with ourselves. Knowing that God is love is knowing you are loved. Never forget that you are loved, and you will be able to love others truly. Ask God to make you be more loving. God is always listening. [29:31] How to Get Rid of Pain and Fear Meditate every morning. Connect with God through silence. Pray out loud every day because words are powerful. These will help you change your perspective from fear to love. Notable Quotes: [26:04] — [26:07] “There is no problem that love cannot solve.” - Matt [23:17] —[23:19] “When we're listening to our ego, we're actually believing a lie. ” - Matt Links to Resources: Headspace App Everyday Grace by Marianne Williamson THE GOOD MOOD SHOW Podcast on Apple, Google, Spotify, Anchor, and more…

Fear is a spirit but also an indicator danger is near ( 2nd Timothy 1:7) Fear in Greek : doubt , run away , shock/astonishment Build your faith: The crusher of fear is having faith . God doesn't give us a spirit of fear but He does give us a measure of faith. And we can also pray for the gift of great faith. Mark 11:22-23 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. It is so easy to get anxious or become fearful when things are happening around you, or maybe even in your body. It's easy to become anxious, but you don't have to give in to the pressure of life. You don't have to live under the circumstances. You can be strong in the Lord. I want to help you face and fight anxiety with God's Word. In today's teaching, I'm going to give you 2 ways that will help you know how to fight anxiety. And so, you don't miss them, I'm going to give you the 2 ways to fight anxiety right up front. Hear the Word of God Pray the Word of God. Not only do I want you to give anxiety the one two punch of hearing and praying the Word. I want to give you 5 verses that have helped me fight anxiety and fear so many times. God's Word is powerful I fight anxiety with Philippians 4:6,7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. I can't tell you how many times I have prayed 1 Peter 5:7 NLT Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. Proverbs 16:3 BSB Commit your works to the LORD and your plans will be achieved. Psalm 55:22 BSB Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken. Psalm 34:15 BSB The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. It changes things, we get a grip on the reality that God sees and listens when we cry out to Him!!! Two ways to use these verses to fight anxiety. And, I am going to give you two resources that will build your faith muscles and help you pray more effectively. Listen, I want you to win over anxiety, but you got to get up and fight the good fight of faith. So here's two resources that will encourage you. The first resource is the video on this page. 1. Listen to these verses, but more importantly let them soak into your spirit. Say them with me again and again. Jot down anything Holy Spirit whispers as you listen to these verses. 2. Read the verses aloud yourself. I put the verses in a .pdf so you can upload them into your Kindle or whatever reader you may use. If you have joined my tribe of hungry believers, then you will have the link in an email from me. If you haven't joined me yet, let me encourage you to join us right now.
