When conflict shows up, most of us fall into one of two patterns: we're either a pursuer, wanting to talk it through until it's resolved, or a withdrawer, wanting to pull away, process alone, and move on. Both styles are natural, and both have strengths—but what happens when emotions get stuck inside, unresolved? In this episode, I introduce you to a powerful tool I call the Gentle Release Method—a guided visualization that allows you to let go of heavy emotions without needing to relive the pain or talk it out with anyone else. This practice is especially helpful for withdrawers who prefer to resolve conflict internally, but it can be healing for anyone who feels weighed down by lingering emotional pain. You'll learn:The difference between pursuers and withdrawers in conflict resolutionWhy emotions don't just “go away” when we push them asideHow unprocessed feelings can resurface and impact your health and relationshipsA step-by-step Gentle Release guided meditation to help you release stored pain and invite in peaceThis isn't an episode to multitask through—you'll want to pause, find a quiet spot, and follow along with the guided visualization. By the end, expect to feel lighter, calmer, and more free.✨ Bonus: Not sure if you're a pursuer or a withdrawer? I've created a simple quiz to help you discover your conflict style. Just visit shireebest.com, fill out the contact form with the word quiz in the subject line, and I'll send it right to your inbox!

Healing doesn't happen all at once, and it doesn't always look the way we expect. In this episode, Lyndsay Soprano sits down with hypnotherapist Kerie Logan for a conversation that moves beyond surface-level self-help and dives straight into the heart of transformation.Kerie shares her personal journey into hypnotherapy and the trauma-informed approach she now brings to her practice—one rooted in safety, compassion, and a deep understanding of how the body and mind hold onto pain. Together, she and Lyndsay talk about what it means to truly feel safe in your healing, why self-love isn't optional, and how shame and judgment can quietly derail even the strongest among us.This isn't about quick fixes or bypassing the hard stuff. It's about tuning into your own frequency, embracing the weird and the woo, and realizing that healing happens in layers, not on a timeline. Kerie introduces the idea of 3D, 4D, and 5D consciousness, not as some far-off spiritual theory, but as a way to understand where we're stuck… and where we're headed. If you've been feeling disconnected, broken, or stuck in your pain, this episode is your permission slip to begin again with softness, honesty, and maybe a little hypnosis.Tune in if you're ready to trade judgment for curiosity—and start healing on your own terms.Find Kerie Logan Online Here:Website: www.empoweredwithin.comWebsite: www.mastertheupperrooms.comWebsite: www.undetectednarcissist.comInstagram: @mastertheupperoomsYouTube: Master the Upper Rooms of Human ConsciousnessYouTube: Empowered Within HypnosisLinkedIn: Kerie LoganPodcast: Undetected NarcissistPodcast: Master the Upper Rooms of Human ConsciousnessFind The Pain Game Podcast Online Here:Website: thepaingamepodcast.comInstagram: @thepaingamepodcastFacebook: The Pain Game PodcastLinkedIn: Lyndsay SopranoYouTube: The Pain Game PodcastEpisode Highlights:(00:00) Introduction to Chronic Pain and Trauma Healing(03:09) Kerie's Journey into Hypnotherapy(09:30) The Power of Hypnotherapy and Self-Healing(15:29) Building Trust in Hypnotherapy(21:00) Creating a Non-Judgmental Space for Healing(23:16) Breaking Free from Self-Judgment(24:38) Harnessing the Power of Rebellion(25:05) Understanding Pain and Its Positive Aspects(26:23) Emotional Pain vs. Physical Pain(27:12) Healing Through Soul Conversations(29:12) Transforming Relationships with Forgiveness(30:34) Lessons from Painful Experiences(32:26) The Role of Trauma in Personal Growth(33:35) Generational Trauma and Its Impact(34:25) Embracing Authenticity and Rebellion(35:39) The Healing Process and Its Challenges(37:00) Crafting a Personalized Healing Journey(38:18) Intuitive Healing and Spiritual Guidance(40:39) Resources for Healing and Growth(43:43) Final Thoughts on Pain and Healing

Ben and Roane discuss the concept of "spiritual bypass," a phenomenon where individuals use religious or spiritual language to avoid dealing with their emotional pain. They highlight how this practice is prevalent in faith communities and can be harmful, leading to a lack of accountability and genuine growth. Examples include phrases like "God's gonna use this" and "When God closes a door, he opens a window." They emphasize the importance of addressing trauma, emotional sobriety, and the need for empathy and real love. Maria Maldonado Smith 08:19 The three questions are, what do I want? Yeah, it's interesting, because a lot of people don't, can't even answer that question for sure. You ask them, What do you want? I don't know. I don't know. The second one is, who do you want to become? Maria Maldonado Smith I also think that there's something beautiful in abandoning goals that no longer work for us. And I don't think that we talk about that enough, because so much of our focus has always been put on, but did you accomplish the goal? But maybe the goal was never meant to be accomplished. There is an epidemic sweeping the world. You may have it and not even know it.That disease is called denialism, and it's not just psychological. It manifests as physical symptoms and can negatively impact every aspect of our life.We live in a world where appearances matter more than truth. But when all of those problems bubble under the surface, eventually they explode.Denial is one of the major, if not the number one cause, of chronic pain, addiction, mental crises, anger outbursts, and many of the physical disorders and diseases in our world. The fact is, we need to feel to heal. We need to address what's going on beneath the surface so that we can release it in a healthy way. Leave Wellness + Wisdom a Review on Apple Podcasts Power Quotes From The Show The Liver Is Processing Collective Trauma "We're moving from a place as a human species that was so mentalized into feeling our body more. No wonder the liver is under so much strain because it's being asked to do a lot. It's being asked to process our cumulative trauma as a culture, as a society, as well as massive amounts of chemical toxins. The amount of things that people have coming up to be cleansed and purified matches the collective energy on the planet at the same time." - Dr. Kevin Preston Why Detox Is Necessary "There are a lot of toxins in the environment and our bodies are going to have to respond to that in some way. We are built to detox a lot, but when we stress our detox pathways over and over and over again, by overwhelming amounts of toxins coming in, they get fatigued. They need a rest. They need a break. But if we don't give the body a break of incoming toxins, it's not long before those filters get stuck." - Dr. Kevin Preston Combining Different Healing Modalities "Let's get you doing a bit of breathwork. Let's get you seeing a somatic therapist because you're holding so much rage and anger right now. Your liver is like a clenched fist that I could try and soften with some herbs, but you're probably going to have a much greater and faster effect addressing the nervous system. And then let's start processing some of the physical stuff. Let's do some acupuncture, get a massage, or maybe get some lymphatic drainage." - Dr. Kevin Preston Links From Today's Show Dr. Kevin Preston 597 Dr. Kevin Preston | The Emotional Roots of Disease: How Progressive Chinese Medicine Liberates Stuck Energy + Heals Generational Trauma Atomic Habits by James Clear The Gene Keys by Richard Rudd Consumer Reports urges USDA to remove Lunchables From National School Lunch Program 624 Teal Swan | Ancestral Healing: Multidimensional Genetics, Conscious Parenting + The Impossible Task of Single Mothers 481 Scott Jackson | Rewire Yourself: How To Create A Life You Love With Freedom From Subconscious Sabotage Zach Bush MD Charles Eisenstein The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho 692 Paul Chek | Spirit Gym: How To Find The Truth of Your Soul + Live Your Dream Josh's Trusted Products | Up To 40% Off Shop All Products Biohacking MANNA Vitality - Save 20% with code JOSH20 HigherDOSE - 15% off with the code JOSH15 PLUNGE - $150 off with discount code WELLNESSFORCE Pulsetto - Save 20% with code "JOSH" SaunaSpace - 10% off with discount code JOSH10 Ultrahuman Ring Air - 10% off with code JOSH Wellness Test Kits Choose Joi - Save 50% on all Lab Tests with JOSH Blokes - Save 50% on all Lab Tests with JOSH FertilityWize Test by Clockwize - Save 10% with code JOSH Tiny Health Gut Tests - $20 off with discount code JOSH20 VIVOO Health Tests - Save 30% off with code JOSH SiPhox Health Blood Test - Save 15% off with code JOSH Nutrition + Gut Health Organifi - 20% off with discount code WELLNESSFORCE SEED Synbiotic - 25% off with the code 25JOSHTRENT
