Kids don't have to leave their room to find themselves in a dangerous place. In this episode, we'll talk about how to keep our children safe online and offline, but first, let's start with what makes the internet a scary place for our kids to be? There's always a feeling like this could never happen to me. Cybercrime seems like something that happens on shows or movies, but it wouldn't happen to us. How prevalent is this kind of behavior here in Cookeville and across Tennessee? Do you think most parents are really aware of what their kids are doing online? Over 95% of our interaction with people requires the highest possible communications skills. That's what you're there for. You're there to communicate and find out what they're scared of, what they need, what their wants are, what their likes are, how you can help them. But without being able to communicate, how do you connect with people? This is foundational to our occupation.”
