Send us a textIn this powerful episode, Sandra Robson joins us to shed light on the critical issues faced by persecuted Christians around the globe. From the war-torn regions of Sudan to the escalating threats in Bangladesh, Sandra shares firsthand accounts of Christian communities enduring unimaginable hardships. Through compelling stories of faith and resilience, this episode highlights the urgent need for prayer, support, and global solidarity in the face of Christian persecution.Christian Persecution in Sudan and Conflict ZonesChristians in Sudan and other conflict zones are caught in the crossfire of escalating violence. Sandra describes the severe challenges these communities face, including physical attacks and displacement. Yet, amid the turmoil, stories of unwavering faith and divine intervention continue to emerge. These personal testimonies of survival and hope underscore the power of prayer and the importance of Christian unity across borders.Bangladesh: Threats and Courage Amidst IntimidationMoving to Bangladesh, we delve into the recent threats against Christian communities, including a disturbing letter sent to churches in Rangpur district demanding they cease religious activities. Sandra and I explore how the courage of local Christians reflects the biblical principles of standing firm in the face of adversity, much like the early church in the Book of Acts. Despite growing opposition, the faith in these communities is not shaken—proving that God's protection and providence are evident even in the darkest moments.Global Christian Persecution: The Struggles and TriumphsThe discussion broadens to global Christian persecution, focusing on countries like India, Nigeria, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. We explore the escalating violence against Christians in these regions and the often inadequate response from local governments. Sandra emphasizes the importance of organizations like Open Doors that advocate for persecuted believers worldwide. We also highlight the incredible stories of resilience and the miraculous protection of Christians, such as the release of a pastor from prison in Nigeria, demonstrating that faith, even under the harshest conditions, can bring about divine breakthroughs.Hope Amidst Adversity: A Call to Prayer and ActionDespite the overwhelming challenges, there is hope. Christianity is witnessing unprecedented growth in regions once hostile to the faith. As Sandra and I reflect on the global situation, we call on our listeners to support persecuted Christians through prayer, awareness, and advocacy. The need for continued action is urgent—prayers for protection, wisdom for leaders, and strength for believers on the front lines.Join us in standing together with our brothers and sisters in Christ who endure persecution for their faith. In times of darkness, hope prevails when the body of Christ unites in prayer and action.Christian persecution, persecuted church, Sudan Christian persecution, Bangladesh Christian threats, global Christian struggles, Open Doors persecution advocacy, Christian faith resilience, prayer for persecuted Christians, Nigeria Christian persecution, religious freedom worldwide.Israel is foundational in the Bible as God's chosen people, beginning with the Abrahamic covenant. Wykład dr Małgorzaty Religi towarzyszący wystawie „Życie wśród piękna. Świat chińskiego uczonego”, Muzeum Narodowe w Warszawie, 27 października 2016 [01h01min] https://wszechnica.org.pl/wyklad/nauczanie-konfucjusza-czyli-o-drodze-czlowieka/ Nauczanie Konfucjusza ukształtowało społeczeństwa Chin oraz innych krajów wschodnioazjatyckich – Korei, Japonii i częściowo Wietnamu. Według chińskiego filozofa kres czasom przemocy, intrygi i wojny miał przynieść powrót do zasad, jakimi kierowali się ludzie w czasach mitycznych początków panowania dynastii Zhou. Pierwszy to – zhengming, czyli „uporządkowanie nazw”. Konfucjusz postulował: „Niech ojciec będzie ojcem, syn synem, władca władcą, a poddany poddanym”. Nazwy ról społecznych powinny iść według filozofa w parze z przypisywanym im w tradycji zachowaniom, bo w przeciwnym razie dochodzi do chaosu. Według filozofa każdy powinien znać swoje miejsce w hierarchii i postępować według przypisanych do niego tradycyjnie zasad (rytuału). Nieobecność wśród wschodnioazjatyckich społeczeństw idei równości to zdaniem Religi zasadnicza różnica, która odróżnia je od społeczeństw zachodnich. Since 2021, a coordinated campaign to censor certain literature, curricula, and ideas has spread like wildfire across American public schools and libraries. From our nation's founding, religion and politics have been intertwined. But the stereotype of what a “religious activist” looks like and believes is far from the reality. We chat about the story of Peter trying to keep Jesus from going to Jerusalem. Everyone knows what will happen to him if he goes there. Even Jesus knows what will happen to him. He will be arrested, tried, and executed. Naturally, Peter tries to stop him from going. Jesus calls him a stumbling block, and tells him that he is thinking about human things and not divine things. We chat about why this story was told among early Jesus followers, and why Matthew may have included it in his Gospel account.
