Mike and Bobby reviewed the Saints' dominant 47-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers, extending their winning streak in season openers to six straight wins. Bobby said the Saints' defense and special teams should keep them competitive with a strong Dallas Cowboys squad. Bobby also praised QB Derek Carr's efficiency vs. Carolina and emphasized his optimism after the black-and-gold's week one win. Bobby previewed LSU's upcoming battle with South Carolina to open SEC play. Nicholls State head football coach Tim Rebowe recapped the Colonels 44-21 loss to LSU in Tiger Stadium. Bobby and Mike interviewed Ed Werder, a Dallas Cowboys insider for WFAA TV Dallas, about the upcoming Saints-Cowboys matchup. Mike Hoss and Bobby co-hosted the Saints Coaches Show, which featured head coach Dennis Allen and special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi. Coach Allen evaluated Alontae Taylor, Bryan Bresee, Trevor Penning, and Rashid Shaheed. Coach Rizzi shared his thoughts on the Saints' reliable special teams aces, Grupe vs. Dallas K Brandon Aubrey, the growth of modern NFL kickers, and the performance of Saints rookie P Matt Hayball.
