A memoir titled Nobody's Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice, written by Virginia Roberts Giuffre with journalist Amy Wallace, is scheduled for posthumous release on October 21, 2025, from Alfred A. Knopf (with Penguin Random House involved in audio and ebook editions). The 400‑page manuscript was completed prior to Giuffre's death by suicide in April 2025, and she had conveyed—via an email to Wallace dated April 1—that it was her “heartfelt wish” for the book to be published regardless of the outcome. Publishers describe the memoir as an unsparing and powerful narrative of trafficking, abuse, and survival, rigorously fact-checked and legally vetted, aimed at spotlighting systemic failures in human trafficking enforcement and championing justice and awareness.Of particular note, Nobody's Girl includes “intimate, disturbing, and heartbreaking new details” about Giuffre's experiences with Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and other high-profile individuals—including Britain's Prince Andrew. This marks her first public discussion of Andrew since their 2022 out-of-court settlement, which reportedly involved a multi-million‑dollar payment. In doing so, the memoir is expected to reignite scrutiny and media attention on the allegations Andrew has long denied, resurrecting his central role in a scandal many believed had faded from the headlines.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Prince Andrew struggling as Virginia Giuffre memoir set for release: expert | Fox News

“Failure to protect” charges are criminal prosecutions where one parent is accused of allowing another parent, or spouse, to abuse a child. For many, such as Deborah Albin, they may also be survivors of abuse, but are unable to raise that within their defense. Albin’s significant other, Andrew Oaks, is facing second-degree murder charges for their daughter Opal’s death. Andrew had previously threatened to kill Deborah and was accused by Albin of physically assaulting her. Despite this, courts are not allowing Albin to bring these incidents in her defense. This is part of a larger pattern of prosecutions against women using “failure to protect” laws.   Kaylee Tornay is an investigative reporter with Investigate West and has been following Deborah Albin’s case. She joins us to share more.

We decided to bring one of our early survivor stories back for you. It is a story of a man being abused by a woman. From Psychology Today: Abused men often don't tell their stories due to a combination of deep seated, social stigma, internalize expectations around masculinity, practical fears, and systemic barriers. The silence isn't unique to men – abuse victims of any gender face shame and fear – but the dynamics hit male victims particularly hard because of cultural norms that frame men as inherently strong, self-reliant protectors, who cannot or should not be victims – especially at the hands of a female partner. J.D. McCabe maintained a living relationship with his wife for nearly 20 years before their marriage, family, and world begin to crumble. Their foundation had always been rooted in trust. That trust is the bedrock of a healthy relationship. His wife always claimed things wouldn't, couldn't work without trust. But one day, for reasons, J.D. could not fathom, his wife became suspicious of his every move. She enlisted her mother in her efforts, and together they forged the words of family, trust, and honesty into a hammer that beat him into the ground. Their accusations accumulated and eventually it resulted in J.D. being involuntarily hospitalized. This is an unusual story of abuse. And one of the few brought to this podcast where it's a man being abused by a woman. There are plenty more of these stories, however, men are reticent to come forth and speak. But J.D. does in this episode of WHEN DATING HURTS. Send us Fan MailAuthor Amy Wallace was the ghostwriter for Virginia Roberts Giuffre's, Nobody's Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice. Virginia Giuffre was an American advocate and survivor of sex trafficking who became widely known for accusing financier Jeffrey Epstein and his associates, including Prince Andrew, of sexual abuse. She died by suicide in April 2025 at her home in Australia. At the time of her death, her book was complete and slated for publication. As you will hear us discuss, Amy needed to come forward at that time to provide a bridge to the manuscript in light of public details about Virginia that came to light just before her death, namely the abusive nature of her marriage which had not been detailed in the book. Amy Wallace splits her time between books and magazines. Her magazine work has appeared in GQ, Wired, The New Yorker, New York, Esquire, Vanity Fair, Details, The Nation, the New York Times Magazine, Elle, and other national publications. Two of her profiles – “Hollywood's Information Man” (Los Angeles, 2001) and “Walking Time Bomb” (New York, 2019) – have been nominated for a National Magazine Award. She has collaborated on two other books, 2021's Hot Seat: What I Learned Leading a Great American Company, by Jeff Immelt, the former CEO of General Electric and 2014's Creativity, Inc.: Overcoming the Unseen Forces That Stand in the Way of True Inspiration with Ed Catmull, then the president of Pixar Animation and Disney Animation. Call 988, if you or someone you know is having thoughts of self-harm.

"On the outside, I too looked like a pretty picture. Inside, I was dying. I had so much pain and shame and suffering. Pretending isn't enough to make it go away." — Andrea Leeb About This Episode Andrea Leeb spent decades building a life that looked perfect from the outside — nurse, attorney, MFA graduate, happily married. But behind that picture was a secret she carried since she was four years old. In this deeply honest conversation, Andrea tells Mike about her debut memoir Such a Pretty Picture, which chronicles her survival of childhood sexual abuse at the hands of her father, her complicated relationship with the mother who looked away, and the long road to finding her voice. She also talks about surviving the 2004 tsunami in Thailand, how the Me Too movement gave her the courage to finally write the story she'd sworn she'd never tell, and why healing is never a straight line. Andrea is donating all of her book royalties to the UCLA Rape Treatment Center and RAINN. Key Takeaways 1. She survived a tsunami — and it changed everything. In 2004, Andrea and her husband survived the Christmas Day tsunami in Thailand. That brush with death made her realize she needed to stop treating writing as a hobby and start treating it as a calling. 2. She swore she'd never write this story. For years, Andrea outlined the book and then told herself no. She wrote fiction, essays, anything else. It wasn't until her father passed away in 2017 — the same year the Me Too movement began — that she finally felt free to tell the truth. 3. Her mother caught the abuse and went blind. When Andrea was four and a half, her mother walked in on the abuse, screamed, passed out, and developed hysterical blindness for a month. Andrea blamed herself. Her mother never left her father. 4. Forgiveness and letting go aren't the same thing. Andrea never forgave her father, but she did let go of the anger — a distinction she says was essential to writing the book without creating monsters. She ultimately forgave her mother. 5. The title came from her editor, not from her. Andrea struggled with the title through every draft. Her publisher found a line in the book where Andrea's mother looks at a childhood photo and says, "Such a pretty picture" — a perfect encapsulation of the beautiful surface hiding the chaos underneath. 6. Pretending works until it doesn't. Andrea kept her secret for decades and appeared fine — until a stranger touched her on the subway and she unraveled. Her message to survivors: you can heal, but you have to get help. Pretending won't make it go away. 7. She's giving away every dollar. All royalties from Such a Pretty Picture go to the UCLA Rape Treatment Center and RAINN. What started as a mission to help one person has grown into full-time advocacy, including board work and policy efforts. She recalls him saying his remains would be stored in a cryogenic chamber until science advanced enough to bring him back to life. Giuffre presents this as more than just a bizarre fixation—it reflected Epstein's obsession with control, power, and his delusional belief that his wealth could make him immortal. She wrote that Epstein seemed convinced he could escape mortality itself, treating the concept as another form of domination over nature and other people.Giuffre further used this story to expose Epstein's narcissistic worldview, portraying him as a man who genuinely believed himself to be above consequence or morality. She explained that his talk of cryogenic preservation wasn't idle fantasy—it fit into a broader ideology of transhumanism that he pushed onto his inner circle. In Nobody's Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice, Virginia Giuffre opens up about the full, unrelenting scope of her trauma — the kind that doesn't fade with time or distance. She writes about how, for years after escaping Jeffrey Epstein's orbit, the abuse followed her in the form of brutal, recurring nightmares. These dreams, she says, weren't abstract or distant; they were graphic replays of the hell she endured. In them, she relives the moments of being trapped and powerless — “greedy, heaving men on top of me,” as she describes in one passage — faces of powerful men she says she could never forget no matter how much therapy or time passed. These weren't just faceless monsters in her dreams, but the same influential figures who smiled for cameras by day and committed atrocities behind closed doors. Each nightmare pulled her back into that same room, that same suffocating darkness, where her voice was taken and her body wasn't hers to protect.Giuffre writes that even as she built a life beyond Epstein, married, and became a mother, the shadows of her past crept into every quiet moment. The nightmares would come without warning, often triggered by a sound, a smell, or a fleeting image — and they would leave her in tears, shaking and gasping for air. In Nobody's Girl, she describes waking up drenched in sweat, her heart pounding, the faces of her abusers flashing before her eyes. The emotional toll was relentless: feelings of shame, self-blame, and fear blended into a kind of nightly punishment for crimes she never committed. Through therapy, advocacy, and confronting her past publicly, she began to reclaim fragments of peace — but even then, she admits that healing isn't clean or complete. Her nightmares became both a curse and a reminder: a symbol of the damage inflicted not just by Epstein and Maxwell, but by the entire system of enablers who let it happen.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Prince Andrew accuser Virginia Giuffre claimed she was haunted by images of 'greedy, heaving men' who abused herBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-moscow-murders-and-more--5852883/support.

In her posthumously published memoir, Nobody's Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice, Giuffre alleges that while she was trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein and his associates she was sent to a “well-known Prime Minister” who raped her “more savagely than anyone had before”. She describes being choked until unconscious, bleeding from multiple wounds, and begging Epstein not to return her to that person — only to be told coldly “You'll get that sometimes.”The identity of the prime minister remains undisclosed in the memoir, but the revelation has stirred renewed scrutiny of the power networks and political complicity surrounding Epstein's trafficking operations. According to media coverage, Giuffre's ghostwriter claims to know all the “names in Epstein's files” and the book has reignited debates about immunity, accountability and how high the cover-up goes.Virginia Roberts Giuffre's allegations against her father, Sky Roberts, form one of the most painful elements of her memoir Nobody's Girl. In it, she writes that the abuse began when she was a young child and continued for years, leaving her emotionally broken and distrustful of the people who were supposed to protect her. She describes her father as someone who manipulated her sense of love and loyalty, creating confusion and fear. This betrayal, she explains, destroyed the foundation of safety that every child should have, and it became the earliest chapter of the exploitation that would later consume her life. Her account frames the abuse as the beginning of a long cycle of predation — one that made her susceptible to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell's manipulation as a teenager.Sky Roberts has categorically denied the accusations, calling them false and saying he is devastated by the claims. Despite his denials, Virginia maintains that her father's actions were a key part of the trauma that defined her adolescence and adulthood. She says that being violated by someone within her own family conditioned her to accept mistreatment from others, because she no longer believed she deserved safety or respect. Her allegations have reignited painful conversations about generational abuse and how early trauma can make victims easier targets for predators later in life. For Giuffre, confronting this chapter publicly appears to be both an act of truth-telling and a step toward reclaiming power after years of silence and exploitation.to contact  me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com

TJ Frost is a musician, carpenter, father — and a survivor. In Episode 97 of The Wild Chaos Podcast, he shares a raw, unfiltered journey from childhood abuse and neglect to a morning on Vesey Street on September 11, 2001. TJ walks us minute by minute through his experience inside the North Tower: the frozen crowd, unlocked doors, smoke-filled corridors, jumpers, debris from the second impact, and the moment he broke paralysis to help people move. He also reflects on the cost of that day — being turned away from Ground Zero, the erosion of trust since 9/11, and the questions that never left him after working skyscraper jobs.To watch this episode in studio, visit: https://youtu.be/w-PdOv_3DCgBeyond 9/11, this conversation explores how pain becomes language, how music can save a life, and what disciplined resilience looks like: writing like it matters, lifting heavy, praying in freezing water, and refusing to normalize what once tried to destroy you. This episode blends trauma, courage, skepticism, faith, and responsibility — and asks a question that lingers: What would you do when the doors are unlocked and everyone else stands still?

He speaks candidly about navigating race, identity, and power inside prison, how incarceration forced him to confront his past, and the mindset shift that ultimately saved his life. In doing so, the memoir is expected to reignite scrutiny and media attention on the allegations Andrew has long denied, resurrecting his central role in a scandal many believed had faded from the headlines.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Prince Andrew struggling as Virginia Giuffre memoir set for release: expert | Fox NewsBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

In her memoir Nobody's Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice, Virginia Roberts Giuffre describes how Jeffrey Epstein often spoke about preserving his body through cryogenic freezing after death. Epstein saw himself as a self-made god, someone destined to transcend ordinary human limits through science and money. Giuffre included the anecdote as evidence of how his psychopathy extended beyond his crimes against women, showing the megalomania that drove his entire life.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Jeffrey Epstein Planned to Cryogenically Freeze Body After Death: Book - Business InsiderBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

In this Hidden Killers special, Tony Brueski dives into the explosive story behind Giuffre's posthumous memoir Nobody's Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice — a book that's shaking the foundations of power, exposing how predators thrive when the world looks away. At just sixteen, Virginia was working at Mar-a-Lago when Ghislaine Maxwell approached her with promises of opportunity. Those promises led her into Jeffrey Epstein's orbit — a network of billionaires, politicians, and global elites who treated girls like currency. Epstein's homes were wired for sound and video, his leverage built on blackmail, and his power maintained through silence. In Nobody's Girl, Giuffre details the unimaginable: being “lent out” to the powerful, threatened into obedience, and watched by a system that protected wealth over humanity. She fought back anyway — naming names in court, taking on Prince Andrew, and building an advocacy movement for survivors of trafficking worldwide. Months after her death in 2025, her words live on. In her memoir Nobody's Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice, Virginia Roberts Giuffre describes how Jeffrey Epstein often spoke about preserving his body through cryogenic freezing after death. Epstein saw himself as a self-made god, someone destined to transcend ordinary human limits through science and money. Giuffre included the anecdote as evidence of how his psychopathy extended beyond his crimes against women, showing the megalomania that drove his entire life.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Jeffrey Epstein Planned to Cryogenically Freeze Body After Death: Book - Business Insider

Her nightmares became both a curse and a reminder: a symbol of the damage inflicted not just by Epstein and Maxwell, but by the entire system of enablers who let it happen.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Prince Andrew accuser Virginia Giuffre claimed she was haunted by images of 'greedy, heaving men' who abused herBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

Today, Eric is delighted to welcome Melva LaJoy Legrand as his guest. Melva is an icon in our industry, having built an impressive career that spans the US, France, and Europe, earning numerous recognitions along the way. In this episode, she shares her journey and discusses the honors she received within the industry, offering inspiration and insights for solopreneurs and small business owners. Her Journey Melva began her career as a teacher, but her creative spark kept pulling her in a different direction. A volunteering stint at a radio station one summer introduced her to concerts, festivals, and events, and she discovered her true calling. With the unwavering support of her parents, she stepped into event planning, starting at the bottom, and soaking up every lesson she learned along the way. With the help of her mentors, she managed to overcome her fear, learn about leadership, and shape her emotional intelligence. With perseverance, faith, and resilience, Melva built her own business, LaJoy Creative, weaving together her professional achievements and her personal trials.  Her Early Career Melva describes her early years as a "preparation season”, where she embraced every small task with humility, absorbing lessons from behind the scenes. That shaped her professional values, helping her decide the kind of leader she wanted to become. Mentorship and Growth Melva had several mentors who were all central to her development. One of her mentors encouraged her toward a leadership position at a major festival, creating a breakthrough moment where she discovered her own capacity to lead. This experience highlighted the importance of humility, teachability, and persistence in building effective mentor relationships. Building Confidence and Starting Over Melva restarted her business in 2019 during a deeply challenging period while caring for her ailing father. His encouragement gave her the courage to relaunch her business, and she also received additional confirmation from her mentors and unexpected encounters, fueling her belief that her business was her purpose. Overcoming Trauma and Anchoring in Faith As a survivor of abuse and trauma, Melva knows that therapy, faith, support groups, and resilience are an essential part of the healing process. Her faith and clarity about her values have shaped her leadership and business decisions, ensuring she only accepts work that aligns with her principles. Awards and Recognition Melva has received numerous honors, including recognition for organizing survivor-focused events, being named a Top Female Founder 500, and winning Silver for International Event Agency of the Year. Those awards affirm her parents' belief that the world would always make room for her. She also takes pride in recent collaborations, including honoring cultural icons at a major beauty and artistry event. Cultural Perspective: US vs France Living between the US and France has given Melva unique insight into the work-life balance. She contrasts the American culture of overwork with the French emphasis on rest and leisure. While she acknowledges higher US salaries, she credits her best creative breakthroughs to the mental clarity she gained during her time abroad. In this episode, I'm talking with Mita Mallick, speaker, workplace strategist, coach, and bestselling author.
