Frog expert Steve Walker recently paid us a visit at AAHQ where we had a bushwalk, found some rare frogs, and recorded this episode. Steve is the coordinator of Frog Watch South Australia and an Education Officer with the Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges Natural Resources Environment Board education programme. He is also the co-author of the book Frogs of South Australia, frog photographer and illustrator, and most impressively, as you will hear on this episode, can mimic many Aussie frog calls!
Hurricane Sandy didn't keep Dale & Scott from putting together a fresh new episode for ya this week. Although, Steven J. Walker is missing (well, not missing, just stuck on the other side of the bloated Potomac River), we were able to talk to our Gay-on-the-Ground in New York City, Justin Luke, as well as our very own gay manners expert, Steven Petrow. Four out of five ain't bad. This week, the boys talk about the storm, Rod Stewart's stomach full of cum, Ricki Lake's new talk show, Obama's pledge to let the states discriminate against us, how Bobbi Christina Brown might spend Whitney's millions, will.i.am's take on the Entertainment Tonight theme song, and much more! That and Justin tells us about what's hot in Manhattan nightlife and all about his new novel that hits bookstores today; we can't wait to read Gulliver Takes Five! And Steven Petrow has some advice on alternatives to engagement rings, how to deal with Facebook friends who love Romney, when it's cool to announce your wedding, and more! It's a shortened show, taped in the old school Secret Underground Studio at Scott's house...but it's still a goodie. Tune in and have a Happy Halloween, y'all!
Look, boys! The Swish Edition is back with a fresh new episode with all the boys together in one room! Steven J. Walker returns from his mega-vacation to join Dale and Scott in the studio. Ready for some major silliness? We've got that...and much more. This week, we have the return of hottie singer Aiden Leslie who talks to Scott and Steve between gigs at Washington, DC and New York City's Pride events, where he performed his new song, "Diamond Dreams." Aiden tells us about the journey behind the new song, his touring schedule, and why he decided to climb into a pair of long johns and nothing else in the most recent issue of DNA. We've got Aiden's song "Trying To Leave Now," too, because "Diamond Dreams" isn't quite ready for the airwaves yet.Our chat with Aiden starts at the 41:40 point in the show. Then, Scott chats with Adam Goldman, the creator of the super hot gay web series, The Outs. Adam writes, directs and acts in this amazing, dark comedy about relationships in New York City. Shot on a shoestring (with the help of a modest KickStarter campaign), "The Outs" looks network television-ready, and features some quirky characters you'll remember for some time to come. Two episodes are available now at the link above and at the bottom of this page. The third episode debuts next Tuesday, June 19 online, and the rest will be made this summer. You'll love the show, which has been heralded by Towleroad, Huffington Post, Queerty, Homorazzi, and many more. But WE get to talk to him. Our chat with Adam starts at the 1:07:40 mark in this episode. The boys also talk about last weekend's Pride festivities in DC; Steve's vacation adventures; what Steve thought when he heard Dale & Scott talking about him on the shows he missed; Madonna's boob; Gaga's head; Bieber's ass; Cher's insane Tweets; Kristin Chenoweth's voice; "True Blood;" and all the pop culture fun of the week. Today's show is brought to you in part by Caribbean Heat, a week-long, world-class, all-male gay dance party event held August 31 – September 7, 2012 at the Adonis Gay Beach Resort in Tulum, Riviera Maya in Mexico. Be a part of all the fun. Click the link above for more information and to register for a free 7-night trip!
Starting with this week's fresh new episode...we're even FRESHER! Instead of taping the show early in the week and waiting until Thursday to release it, we're dropping our new episode just as soon as it comes out of the oven. Fresher content. Quicker release. Dirtier and funnier than ever! This week, Dale & Scott welcome back to the studio Chris Doucette and Zach Toczynski, the two funniest guys they know. As guest hosts (filling in for the still-vacationing Steven J. Walker), Chris & Zach will keep you in stitches with their quick wit and dirty minds. Gotta love that! The guys are the masterminds behind DC's monthly Gaylarious comedy showcase at the Riot Act theater, dontcha know. If you find yourself in your nation's capital on the first Wednesday of each month (save for July & August), you've gotta check out one of the funniest shows around. Also up this week, singer and Broadway vet Matt Zarley returns to the show to talk about his new music video contest and we have his latest single, Trust Me for ya. Matt is so nice and so cute...a cuddly and fun pop singer who works hard for our community, too. The boys also talk about gays in straight strip clubs; Pride celebrations in DC and elsewhere; bath salts and zombies; the Oscars of the fragrance world; Gay Days' dueling airplane banners; actor Luke Macfarlane's penis; Mayor Bloomberg's increasingly imposing nanny state; the Black Spark returns (maybe); JCPenney fights back with gay dads; and, much more gay hilarity. (It ain't PC, people.) Today's show is brought to you in part by Caribbean Heat, a week-long, world-class, all-male gay dance party event held August 31 – September 7, 2012 at the Adonis Gay Beach Resort in Tulum, Riviera Maya in Mexico. Be a part of all the fun. Click the link above for more information and to register for a free 7-night trip! Also, if you'll be at Washington, DC's Capital Pride Festival this Sunday, June 10, stop by the Caribbean Heat booth and check out their scantily clad male models.
To kick off the new year, Dale & Scott welcomed real-men-have-hair porn star COLBY KELLER to the studio on New Year's Eve. With his best friend and party host KARL MARKS by his side and a scotch on the rocks in his hand, Colby is a laid-back, fun-loving good sport who tells us about his love of crafts--including making his own penis menorah to celebrate Hanukkah--his love of beards, his near-disastorous first porn shoot, why Washington, DC's big granite monuments turns him on, why he sets up spanking stations at parties (which Scott dared to enter later that evening), and the weirdest things his fans have sent to him in the mail. Colby is foremost an artist and he talks about the blending of art and porn, too. You can get an idea of what he's talking about at his great personal blog, BigShoeDiaries. (Beware, the site is not quite work safe.) We loved having Colby and friends in the studio, and since he lives just up the road in Baltimore, we hope he'll cum back for more. Also up this week, we welcome Mr. Manners himself, gay etiquette expert STEVEN PETROW back to the show for his now monthly segment. He's got tips and hints to live your best gay life, including subjects as diverse as watching porn on planes, how long you should keep a dead partner's Facebook page active, the art of resifting after the holidays, and how to politely decline sexual advances. We love our chats with Steven and we think you just might learn something. Is that so bad? Check out Steven's website and consider getting his great new book, Steven Petrow's Complete Gay & Lesbian Manners: The Definitive Guide to LGBT Life. And to top it off, we have a very special track for you this week. It's DJ EARWORM's United State of Pop 2011 (World Go Boom) mashup track. You can learn more about his great music mixes at his website or on Facebook. Dale & Scott also have the low-down on: Lady Gaga's new Stuck on Fuckin' You track; Funny things friends said online this week; Steven Tyler topless in Hawaii; The Real Housewives of Beverly Hill's Kyle Richards' new book; Delaware & Hawaii now allow same-sex civil unions; Skater Johnny Weir gets hitched; PR hottie Ricky Martin may get married in New York City this month; We can expect more Ab Fab in 2013; Elton John selects his pick to play him in bio pic; Katy Perry gets dumped; and, Steven J. Walker's Superman snuggie; and, Dale & Scott want to remake a television classic with a gay twist...Hee Haw!
The boys are back and they've got stories to tell about a boys-gone-wild weekend in your Capital City (that Scott missed). Plus, they explain why redheads need not try to make a deposit at their local neighborhood sperm back; Scott's childhood friend has a dream about Steven J. Walker; NPH gets his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame; "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" is now officially a thing of the past (or is it?); New Hampshire is considering 86-ing same-sex marriage (those fat heads); The Emmys entertained; breaking down LMAFO's new video; and, Gaga tweets her love. And from New York City, our trusty correspondent Justin Luke sits down for something really unique: If you guys like Broadway you'll get a kick out of his self-described "theater-faggish" chat with one of the stars of the smash hit musical, "The Addams Family," STEPHANIE GIBSON. She gives you all the backstage dirt including, what life is like as the understudy to a lead; which days and times are better than others when it comes to catching a Broadway show; how she bared it all for "Broadway Bares," and, she talks about her insanely cute & talented husband Will Chase (Broadway's "Rent" and NBC's upcoming "Smash"), too. (Our chat with Stephanie kicks in at the 33:30 mark.) After that, we have a silly new segment to try out on ya..."What Would Steve Do?" Curious to know what Steven J. Walker would take to a deserted island? Would he chose between his penis or his arms & legs? And what would he (or wouldn't he) whisper in your ear to get you into bed? Stick around to find out! All that silliness and out pop singer AIDEN LESLIE's new single, "Trying to Leave Now," too. It's catchy. Episode 152 is called, "Redheads Need Not Apply," in honor of the fact that sperm banks are no longer accepting the jizz of redheads. Sorry, Dale.
When schedules get shifted at the last minute, things tend to fall through the cracks. Many times that can be a good thing; sometimes it's bad. When Steven J. Walker couldn't make it to the taping this week, Dale & Scott felt bad. But the end product is really good. So, it's a bitter sweet Episode 151. Sigh. Alone in the studio like the olden days, Dale Blades & Scott Wallis chat about their recent trip to the Kings Dominion amusement park for gay night and how they almost got pinched by the po-po at the no-tell hotel, your hosts run down their picks for this fall's television season, they ruin the finale of True Blood for those who haven't watched it yet, tell you why Dale won't wear a winter coat, they make fun of each other (but what else is new), and share their love of Anderson Cooper and his new daytime talk show Anderson. There's other surprises, too! Then, like magic, Senior Correspondent Justin Luke appears out of no where with a really fun chat with the one and only MICHAEL MUSTO of the Village Voice. Michael is a New York power gay (kinda like Justin) and he's spent years telling the world what he thinks of Broadway, gays, celebutards (a word he coined), traveling in major storms, riding bikes in the city, and much more, including his new book, Fork on the Left, Knife in the Back. It's a conversation taped in our new NYC satellite studio and it's not to be missed, people. Oh, and don't you fret, dear listener, Steve will be back next week. He wouldn't leave ya hangin' too long. People have to hear that sexy dark voice! Episode 151 is called, "Doing It Old School" in honor of Dale & Scott doin' it on their own.
You'll have to listen to this new episode to find out what the hell Episode 130's title is all about. This week, we welcome super fun, Washington, DC-based screen print artist Dave Peterson to the studio. His work is cutie cartoony and he also offers his work as t-shirts and even on underwear. We like his work so much, we commissioned a piece for our greenroom! You've got to check out BrandDave's nifty website. Sad News: Missing from this episode is Jason Royce. He was feeling a bit under but he did manage to make an interesting, if not dirty, call from his home while we were taping. We play it for you. Dale & Scott also chat with the multi-talented Willam Belli. He talks about the crazy fat-female-vampire film Blubberella that he co-wrote (you've got to see the insane trailer at the bottom of this page); his memorable roles in Ticked-Off Trannies with Knives and Nip/Tuck; his part in the new Wonder Woman television pilot; his rockin' band Tranzkontinental who regularly performs at the House of Blues on Sunset Blvd; he likes hanging out at Silverlake's MJ's Bar and Hollywood's Jumbo Clown Room; and, much more! This kid is fun stuff and we also play the song that burned up YouTube a few months ago, one of our favs, "The Vagina Song" (see the video below, too). Learn all about Willam on his site. And if that wasn't enough, the guys talk about: Bowling finger injuries Steven J. Walker's birthday celebration The possible extinction of redheads! The gay redhead events in SanFran and NYC Another True Blood star comes out as bi TheDailyHookup is Groupon for the gays Jonathan Bascope's new Live My Life remix What Hollywood stars made in 2010 Dale's new theme song The Swish Edition / AIDS Walk Washington Team (sign-up and/or donate) And underwear that doesn't hold your balls! All that and the news from Metro Weekly. Episode 130 is called, "Why I Otter - Clam Chowder" and you should listen to it with just a t-shirt on.
There is no one funnier than the Lovable Queen of Mean herself, Lisa Lampanelli. It's not an interview, it's more of a cross between a conversation between good friends and a stand-up act! You don't have to be gay to laugh out loud at this one. She talks about the recent roast for Donald Trump, as well as her thoughts on The Situation, Star Jones' cunty nugget, Charlie Sheen, how the gays put dinner on her table even though she hates us, her love of chocolate, on being Mrs. Jimmy Big Balls, all about her new Comedy Central special and new CD/DVD set (which we're giving away!), who she thinks NEEDS to be roasted in Hollywood...and much more. She even plays our brand new game: The 60 Second Hoe Down! Funny stuff. The guys also officially welcome Steven J. Walker to the in-studio team and together they celebrate Dale's 30th birthday, they discuss Herpy the Love Bug, Elizabeth Taylor's millions, the new gay dude running for president, Richard Simmons' safety video for Air New Zealand, Bravo may no renew "The Real Housewives of DC," Vince Neil freaks out at a Hal Sparks concert, Lindsay is dropping the Lohan, and more. They announce their Lisa Lampanelli CD/DVD giveaway and catch up with Sean Bugg at Metro Weekly for the week's news. It's a very special mega-episode, recorded on-location in Las Vegas at the fabulously over-the-top Encore Beach Club at the Wynn / Encore resort property. Thanks to our gracious hosts at the Wynn / Encore, Dale & Scott--along with their increasingly present sidekick Steven J. It's The Black Spark, y'all. He's here and he's raw. He's become wicked infamous in the last few weeks and on this episode we talk to him about his work, his cast and all the attention they've been getting. The hot 20 year-old filmmaker is quickly taking the internet by storm with his unique series of dark, haunting short films that show off his sex life complete with masks, creative camera work, a perfect soundtrack, even more perfect young bodies, and absolutely no holds barred. It's so hot, we had to tape the interview naked. You don't want to miss this one.Dale, Scott & Jason also welcome back semi-regular Swisher, Steven J. Walker to the studio; that boy wasn't going to turn down an opportunity to try to weasel his way into Black Spark's next production. And guess what? The Black Spark liked Steve's voice. He talks about his impressive acoustic rock & pop catalogue, his videos, tour, and Politics of Love marriage equality curriculum. Not only that, the boy (who hates shoes; he showed up to the studio in flip-flops in the middle of a snowstorm!) raises money for a Washington, DC homeless organization. Busy, wicked smart, and talented. Oh, and he's a cutie.Dale, Scott, Jason and Tom also discuss slash fiction; why recently out country singer Chely Wright's album sales have supposedly tanked; why Ricky Martin probably shouldn't be a gay poster boy; they fight over whether Geico commercials are funny or not; and, they're all SHOCKED that Johnny Weir is gay. Mmmm hmmm. After they send Tom back out into the storm, guess who stops by to warm things up? Steven J. Walker is back in the house to stir up some trouble. Of course they talk about the new gay hero on the scene: 20 year-old congressional intern Daniel Hernandez who rushed to Rep. Gabrielle Giffords aid seconds after she was shot.
