For many gay men, our relationship with our dad is one of the most defining- and least talked about. In this episode, we explore the nuances of our relationships with our fathers through three core questions: How did your dad react when you came out? How do you express your gayness around him today? Does being gay impact the level of intimacy you have with your dad? From there, we go deeper into family dynamics, cultural expectations, and the different expressions of love and acceptance between fathers and their gay sons. We get into physical affection between fathers and sons, how much access we give them into our lives, and the boundaries we set as adults. We also explore how these early relationships can shape the kinds of men we're attracted to… and the patterns we carry into dating and relationships. This is a grounded, honest conversation about the often complex and layered relationship between fathers and sons. Day One Agency's efforts to capture Gen Z's attention with Adam Levine-inspired Chipotle campaigns and Webby-winning Converse launches have paid off: the midsize agency reported a 7.4% revenue increase for 2025. For CEO Josh Rosenberg, the key isn't about chasing every fleeting TikTok trend, it's about radical listening. In this episode, Josh sits down to discuss the delicate balance of keeping legacy brands like L.L. Bean modern without losing their core identity, and how they turned a viral internet meme into a massive, community-driven campaign for Chipotle. He breaks down why true authenticity is a brand's ultimate defense in the age of AI, how Day One's new editorial work helps clients navigate an increasingly complex cultural landscape and what the agency's signature "Day One Orange" says about their approach to fresh storytelling. campaignlive.com Music - Take you Out by Lucid Tides, courtesy of Triple Scoop. Mic The Snare returns to Pop Pantheon to unpack the career of one of the most successful bands of the century, Maroon 5. Louie and Nick dig into the M5's beginnings as a high school band called Kara's Flowers, their pivot to funky pop rock on their 2002 blockbuster debut Songs About Jane, and the softer reception to their second and third records— as well as the start of lead singer Adam Levine's tenure on NBC's The Voice— that lead to a commercial rebirth for the ages with the pop banger “Moves Like Jagger." Finally, Louie and Nick break down Maroon 5's descent into the dregs of the pop machine that produced some truly unfortunate music but kept them, sometimes bafflingly, at the top of the charts through most of the 2010s and finally, rank the group in The Official Pop Pantheon.Check out our Maroon 5 Essentials PlaylistJoin Pop Pantheon: All Access, Our Patreon Channel, for Exclusive Content and MoreShop Merch in Pop Pantheon's StoreFollow Pop Pantheon on InstagramFollow DJ Louie XIV on InstagramFollow Russ on Instagram Hosted on Acast. After studying music business and releasing her debut EP, "Everything I Couldn't Say," Syd found her voice as both a singer and songwriter. When she's not teaching or working toward her master's degree in vocal performance, she's fronting a wedding band that performs across the East Coast and New York. This episode opens with a powerful breakdown of Donald Trump’s record‑shattering 2026 State of the Union address, which clocked in at approximately 1 hour and 48 minutes, making it the longest in modern U.S. history. Trump used the marathon speech to declare a “Golden Age,” emphasize economic gains, tout border crackdowns, and highlight national security moves—all while sparking tense clashes with Democrats in the chamber. The show then shifts to the entertainment world, where Tina Knowles publicly stood up for Tiny Harris amid 50 Cent and T.I.’s escalating feud. After 50 Cent posted an unflattering photo of Tiny, Knowles reposted a glam clip celebrating her “real feminine energy,” prompting 50 Cent to react online and intensify the drama that already had fans, celebrities, and family members weighing in. The crew also discusses Megan Thee Stallion joyfully manifesting engagement to NBA star Klay Thompson. While in Milan with Team USA athletes, Megan shared she’s “manifesting” a proposal, reflecting on how love found her during a season of personal healing and expressing excitement about her relationship’s future. Rounding out the episode, comedian Druski officially joins The Voice as the show’s first‑ever in‑show commentator, bringing humor, insight, and real‑time reactions to the newly formatted “Battle of Champions” season—appearing alongside NBA stars and returning coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Adam Levine. Welcome back to The Rizzuto Show, the daily comedy show that asks the important questions — like what genre is your life, why are all malls dying, and how did a World War I artillery shell end up in a man's body? The crew kicks things off by breaking down life as a movie genre. Is Rizz living a straight-up comedy? Is Lern trapped in a rom-com she didn't audition for? Is Moon starring in an action movie with jokes sprinkled in? And is Scott legally obligated to live inside a spaghetti western forever? Spoiler: Rafe's life may be a psychological thriller directed by someone who should not be allowed near a camera. From there, the show takes a nostalgic (and slightly depressing) turn as Eddie Bauer officially joins the retail graveyard. The gang runs through dead mall staples like Borders, Blockbuster, KB Toys, Gadzooks, Sports Authority, and basically your entire childhood. Crestwood Mall gets a full eulogy, Mid Rivers Mall gets absolutely roasted, and everyone agrees: online shopping killed the food court vibes. Then it's Super Bowl chaos. Kid Rock vs. Bad Bunny, alternative halftime shows, cultural representation, and why people are still mad about Maroon 5 years later. The crew also ranks the worst halftime performances of all time, and yes — Adam Levine's shirt removal is still haunting America. In news you didn't know you needed, February is statistically the safest month to not get punched in the face. Science says cold weather equals fewer fights, which leads to personal punch histories, parking-lot ego confessions, and a shocking chair-throwing fail from Australia where a guy absolutely destroys his own friend instead of a bouncer. And just when you think it can't get more unhinged, doctors in France discover a World War I shell inside a patient, triggering a hospital evacuation and a bomb squad visit no one wanted. It's a public service announcement wrapped in a cautionary tale wrapped in “please stop putting stuff there.”The episode also dives into rising U.S. life expectancy (good news!), Branson magician crime headlines (very bad news), and a man attempting to spend an entire year locked in one room to “get healthy,” which the crew debates is either inspiring discipline or a live-streamed mental breakdown. It's another daily comedy show episode that somehow educates, horrifies, and entertains — often at the same time. Laugh, cringe, and maybe stay indoors this February… for your face.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshowConnect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MOAustralian man is hit with flying chair thrown by his friend outside strip clubFrenchman hospitalized after inserting WWI munition up his rearMan Has Locked Himself in a Room for 365 Days to Improve His Health — and Is Now Livestreaming His 'Isolation Year' 24/7106-year-old retailer closing US stores in Chapter 11 bankruptcySee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

It is a privilege to welcome actress and singer Kim Yarbrough back to The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar brand (and for the first time on the podcast) for the first time in 14 years! Many Reality TV fans first saw Kim Yarbrough audition for The Voice USA: Season Two in Spring 2012. Her powerful interpretation of Chaka Khan's “Tell Me Something Good” turned both founding coaches' chairs, Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera, around. After joining Team Adam, Kim wowed the audience with her cover of Mary J. Blige's “No More Drama” and advanced to the Season Two Live Playoffs. During The Voice: Season Two Live Playoffs, she sang Adele's “Rolling in the Deep” but fell into the Bottom Three. After delivering a superb, powerful cover of Jennifer Hudson's “Spotlight,” the Maroon 5 frontman chose to advance Kim's then teammate, Katrina Parker, to the Top 16. After her appearance on the NBC talent competition, Al Roker, Hoda Kotb, and Kathie Lee Gifford interviewed her on Today, and she sang with the Roots on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Over the years, Kim dove deep into the entertainment industry. She guest-starred on several television shows, including 2 Broke Girls, 9-1-1, Hollywood Heights, Hot in Cleveland, Kenan, The Mindy Project, New Girl, Shameless, and The Up-Shaws. Kim also had recurring roles in Cherish the Day (Aunt Natalie), The Haunted Hathaways (Madame Labuef), and the animated series Kid Cosmic (Flo (voice)). In addition, Kim lent her voice to the Oscar-winning animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. She also shared the stage and screen with entertainment industry legends, including Dennis Quaid, Loretta Devine, Octavia Spencer, Cedric the Entertainer, Stevie Wonder, Sheila E, and the late Betty White and her mentor Della Reese, who produced the stage show Della Reese Presents Kim Yarbrough, which allowed Kim to showcase her talents to the Hollywood Entertainment Community. On this episode of The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Kim Yarbrough spoke about voice acting, tutoring students in the arts, and if she would ever audition for America's Got Talent or wait for a future All-Stars season of The Voice USA. Some adventures do more than stretch us — they transform us. And today, Pam Watts is back in the guest co-host seat to share with us what God revealed during and after the experience she was still preparing for the last time we talked. What began as doing something fun for something good became something sacred — reshaping her understanding of excellence, identity, rest, and God's power at work through human weakness. In our conversation, we explore: A different definition of excellence The gift of doing hard things in community How offering our “widow's mite” opens the door to experiencing God's might If you're in a season of saying your own faith-based YOUR — or in the reflective time that comes after—this conversation is rich with clarity, insight, and wisdom.
