In 2011, they planned a trip to Punta Cana — a rare chance for their whole family to travel together. They booked ten days at a beachfront resort.  Sun, warm weather, and time together as a family. Samantha was abducted and imprisoned by her stalker. After they met in college, Samantha realized a man had an unhealthy obsession with her when he started following her around and leaving her unwanted gifts. In 2014, when he pursued her across state lines, Samatha secured a six-year restraining order against him. Upon returning to her hometown six years later, she noticed his presence, but he kept his distance and remained silent.
