Our featured guest on tonight's show is Canadian pipe maker Evan Wiseman. Evan has been making pipes for ten years (minus a two year break) and is quite well-known and respected in the field. His path started with cigars in college, but they became too expensive, so he switched to smoking pipes, and then decided to make them. At the top of the show we will have an Ask the Tobacco Blender segment with Jeremy Reeves. Jeremy is the Head Blender at Cornell & Diehl, which is one of the most popular boutique pipe tobacco companies in the USA.

We honor the life and ministry of Dr. Jim Diehl (1937-2025), a beloved pastor, district superintendent, and General Superintendent Emeritus of the Church of the Nazarene. Dr. Diehl passed away on November 2, 2025. Just days before his passing, on October 30, he traveled to Nampa, Idaho, to preach at Bethel Church of the Nazarene for the Holiness Partnership event. This episode features that powerful message. Dr. Diehl preaches on the Christian life as a journey that goes far beyond a single moment of decision. He outlines three key prayers that define this lifelong walk: "Lord, forgive me" (repentance), "Lord, take me" (consecration), and "Lord, make me" (the ongoing work of sanctification). Using his trademark warmth and personal stories, Dr. Diehl explains how God continually works to "pull the stumps" of things like prejudice, impatience, and fear from our lives, shaping us into more Christ-like individuals. Overholt & Co., currently a subsidiary of Beam Suntory, which is a subsidiary of Suntory Holdings of Osaka, Japan. It is currently distilled at the Jim Beam distillery in Clermont, KYHenry Oberholzer (Anglicized to “Overholt”), a German Mennonite farmer, moved to West Overton, Pennsylvania, on the banks of Jacobs Creek in Western Pennsylvania in 1800.  His family came from the area of Germany which specialized in distilling “korn”, or rye whiskey, and Henry took up the tradition.In 1810, Henry's son took over the management of the distillery and made it into a business. By the 1820s, the distillery was putting out 12 to 15 gallons of rye whiskey per day. By 1859, Overholt incorporated his business as “A. Our featured interview tonight is with pipe maker Jerry Nelson. His brand of pipes is Nelson Pipes by Jerry. Jerry was originally influenced to try pipe smoking by last week's guest, Jay Furman. They met in an online forum where Jay was posting some pipes, but it wasn't a pipe forum. The next step, with Jerry being a carpenter, was to make pipes. He has been making them for five years now. Our featured guest tonight is Dan Butler of D. Butler Pipes. Dan is a part time pipe maker producing beautiful artisan pipes. He found his way to pipes after university didn't work out, then working the night shift in a mental hospital put so much stress on him that he need to find relief. First, it was relaxing with a cigar, but when he found his way to pipes, he became much more intrigued. He started off slow as he was paying off student debt, but when that was cleared, he dove in. Our featured interview on tonight's show is with Fernando Keops. Fernando is a renowned sleight-of-hand magician, particularly known for his work with cards and gambling effects. Already a full time magician, he started smoking a pipe when he was 22-years old. Another magician that he was working with that was a pipe smoker, and 82-years old at the time, bought him his first pipe.
