Since then, many drinks have been drunk and many crimes have been solved*, and now their award-winning podcast is about to get even bigger. From January, there'll be two episodes of Drunk Women Solving Crime a week, available wherever you get your podcasts. We love the London Podcast Festival — held every year at our spiritual home of Kings Place, London — so much that this year we did not one, but TWO podcasts there. The first, aka The Artist Also Known As Episode 581, is already up for your listening pleasure, but we're very excited and proud to bring you the second, which is the mash-up episode the Empire Podcast team — Chris Hewitt, Helen O'Hara, and James Dyer — recorded with the brilliant ladies of the Drunk Women Solving Crime podcast. That's a pod, if you haven't guessed, in which a group of women — Taylor Glenn, Hannah George, and Catie Wilkins — solve crime. While drunk (mostly). So, naturally, we were the only choice to team up with them for the LPF, given that Chris and Helen are teetotal, and James only drinks to forget. Anyway, we had a simply lovely time with the Drunk Women gang, solving a true-life Hollywood crime, suggesting our own entries for Worst Movie Crime, and then helping to crack the case of an audience member or two. It was raucous, hilarious, and features the best Jennifer Coolidge impression this side of... well, of Jennifer Coolidge. Enjoy.
F-Stop Collaborate and Listen - A Landscape Photography Podcast
For some photographers, the goal of photography transcends capturing pretty moments of pretty things. While there's nothing wrong with this approach, it can begin to feel repetitive and lacking purpose for some. As such, finding ways to have our photography be about more, have more impact, and ultimately make the world a better place is the next step in the journey. Today's guest on the F-Stop Collaborate and Listen Podcast, Paul Hoelen, is well known for his evocative and beautiful aerial photography from Australia and Tasmania, having won the inaugural Natural Landscape Photography Awards Aerial Prize. What's not as well known about Paul are his incredible personal projects that he focuses a lot of energy and passion into. On this week's episode, we discuss: How Paul got his start in photography. How Paul's background in wilderness therapy informed his photography journey. Instilling meaning and purpose into our photography pursuits. Making the world a better place through photography. Paul's Men With Heart Project. The role of collaboration in Paul's work. Paul's aerial photography collection. Altitude South Project. The Light Collective. And a lot more! Other topics/links discussed on the podcast this week: Support the podcast on Patreon. Talking Landscape on YouTube. Watch podcast episodes on YouTube, where we overlay photos with our conversation via video. Here is who Paul recommended on the podcast this week: Ragnar Axelsson. Taylor Glenn. Chris Saunders. Roger Fishman. I love hearing from the podcast listeners! Reach out to me via Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter if you'd like to be on the podcast or if you have an idea of a topic we can talk about. We also have an Instagram page, a Facebook Page, and a Facebook Group - so don't be shy! We also have a searchable transcript of every episode! Thanks for stopping in, collaborating with us, and listening. See you next week. P.S. you can also support the podcast by purchasing items through our B+H affiliate link.

It's the union which was formed over a remote record in lockdown brought into real life technicolour! The amazing ladies of number one true crime podcast, Redhanded, have joined forces with the DWSC team to record their latest mash-up LIVE at the London Podcast Festival and what a night it was - with TWO Hannah's for the price of one- as Redhanded is made-up from the glorious, Hannah Maguire and Suruthi Bala, plus our very own Hannah George graced the stage alongside co-hosts Taylor Glenn and Catie Wilkins makes-up this true crime super group. This week's lost love lament comes from a lady who is no stranger to a podcast, it's one third of Drunk Women Solving Crime and screenwriter, Taylor Glenn, who still isn't over a 90s romance which combined Dead Poets and Pulp Fiction, Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke! To say these guys were couples goals is an understatement, but alas, their love exists only in the time capsule of our hearts.

Picture the scene: you head into The Moon Under Water and it has been ransacked by burglars. Your favourite ale is nowhere to be seen, your trusty pint glass lays smashed on the floor, all the CDs from the jukebox have been stolen (except for one copy of Paris Hilton's self-titled debut album). Who do you call to track down the culprit? That's right: host of Drunk Women Solving Crime and this week's guest Taylor Glenn.Taylor grew up stateside but has lived in the UK for over 15 years, so she has experienced pubbing on both sides of the Atlantic. It’s Episode 91! Joining us to review the 2017 documentary Out of Thin Air are returning guests Taylor (her choice) and Hannah from Drunk Women Solving Crime. Out of Thin Air mixes interviews and dramatisation to investigate the mystery surrounding the disappearances of Guðmundur Einarsson and Geirfinnur Einarsson in 1974 in Iceland and the subsequent arrests and imprisonments of six suspects, at which point things are definitely not what they seem. The story itself the perfect true crime stuff, two people disappear and to this day have never been found. The suspects are arrested, some of them have shady backgrounds and (despite little evidence) are convicted and then the twist, in 2013 a report brought forward the motion to retrial the suspects. This documentary, however, fails to really capture the mystery and intrigue and it ends up being a bit confusing and at worst, quite boring. True crime fans will probably enjoy this as would anyone who remembers the case but as a piece of documentary cinema, it doesn’t deliver the goods. Scores [supsystic-tables id=94] Flixwatcher and guests were mostly in agreement about Out of Thin Air and despite some of its weaknesses it still scored 3.25 overall. Welcome to HOOVERING, the podcast about eating. Host, Jessica Fostekew (Guilty Feminist, Motherland) has a frank conversation with an interesting person about gobbling; guzzling; nibbling; scoffing; devouring and wolfing all up… or if you will, hoovering. This week my guest is one of the hosts of the mighty new smash hit podcast ‘Drunk Women Solving Crime’ it’s Taylor Glenn. Tickets to see Hoovering LIVE in 201916th Feb - MAPS Festival, NEWCASTLE 3rd March - London. VAULTS FESTIVAL30th March - GLASGOW International Comedy Festival RecipesTaylor made us vegan banana fritters with a mango hedgehog! She talks through the recipe in the episode. We really get into it this week, talking the horror of 1980s diet-industry-advertising practice, parenting and feeding and shaaaame, sweet sweet shame. Oh and she makes me the most filthy, delicious mid-afternoon vegan snack ever. This one’s a sizzler. Honourable MentionsIf you don’t already I can highly recommend Taylor’s excellent podcast DRUNK WOMEN SOLVING CRIMEI mention that MY FAVOURITE OAT MILK by miles is Oatly Barista Edition It turns out THIS is a circus peanut and THIS is a matzah ballIf you’ve never watched THE GREAT BRITISH BAKE OFF you haven’t livedAnd here, trigger warnings galore is the fucking VILE ADVERT for ‘fibre trim’ using actual children talking about how great thinness is. Shit. Be warned - this will boil your piss. Caroline Mabey and Taylor Glenn are friends and comedians, trying to keep an open mind when it comes to self improvement. So in each episode of their podcast 'Self Renovators', they test out some of the self help techniques claimed to help you lead a better, happier, more productive life. For a week they'll try out say breathing exercises, a digital detox, or even a gruelling regime of cold showers, and report back on whether it's helped them, what the science says, and if they're going to adopt the method, adapt it, or ditch it altogether. Here they're trying out a productivity tool called a bullet journal: if you Google it you'll see it's become a bit of a thing since it was invented by a Brooklyn designer called Ryder Carroll a few years back. It's a bit like a good old written to-do list; just far prettier, and a lot more complicated! [Episode 21 of the Self Renovators podcast is called 'Bite The Bullet Journal' and is hosted by Caroline Mabey and Taylor Glenn].
It’s Episode 82! Drunk Women Solving Crime (Hannah and Taylor) join us to review the 2017 documentary Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond – Featuring a Very Special, Contractually Obligated Mention of Tony Clifton, Hannah’s choice. Jim & Andy is the result of several hours of filming Jim Carrey in ‘character’ behind the scenes on the set for the 1999 film Man on the Moon and Jim Carrey now ruminating on what happened literally and spiritually during the filming. This documentary was released by Netflix and the footage captured was allegedly wanted destroyed by Universal Pictures (who produced Man on the Moon) because they didn’t want people to think Jim Carrey was an asshole. You can begin to imagine what this documentary is like. Part car crash and part journey into the art involved in perfecting a performance, it’s also one mans tribute to a man he admired and occasionally imitated. Interesting, bizarre, intense and fascinating, it might be a documentary but it’s impossible to tell what is real and what is planned. Scores [supsystic-tables id='84'] There was a lot of love for both Jim AND Andy from Flixwatcher and guests, if there is one word to describe it, it is fascinating - as a documentary and a film - and rare for a documentary rewards with repeat viewings. Jim & Andy scores overall a very high 4.31, we recommend! What do you guys think? Have you seen Jim & Andy? What did you think? Please let us know in the comments below! In this week's podzine, Mick and Hannah meet up with the Drunk Women Solving Crime, aka Taylor Glenn and Hannah George, to chat true crime, booze and very audible gasping. Author Jean Hannah Edelstein talks about her new non-fiction This Really Isn't About You about how Lynch Syndrome and her father's death turned her life upside down and that one time Tinder wasn't an arsehole. For Jenny Off The Blocks, Jen chats with Emma Bramwell, who is running 30 races in the 12 months leading up to what would have been her brother Adam's 30th birthday. Dunleavy Does Disney's Coco and maybe-just-maybe does a tiny cry, and there's a fierce doughnut debate in the Bush Telegraph. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
It's the first birthday of Betamax! A year to the day since episode one was published, here we are. This is Splash, a film about a man falling in love with a mermaid. Yep. Joining me is Taylor Glenn, writer, comedian and regular on the hilarious Drunk Women Solving Crime podcast. There is a fair bit of smut within, particularly where we discuss the dynamics of how they, y'know, do it... Enjoy.
Linda Lusardi and Sam Kane were the first guests on this week's show. They came in to talk about panto, their time spent with Lembit Opik and calling Ian short. Hannah George and Taylor Glenn from new podcast Drunk Women Solving Crime were also in the studio, and they got a bonus interviewer in the shape of Johnny Vegas, who popped into the studio largely unannounced to make a personal plea to Nat to visit West Drayton and a variety of other UK theme parks (once he could remember her name that is).

Aleks Krotoski returns with a new series exploring our lives in a digital age and on April Fool's day she explores whether mischief is an essential part of the online world. Mischief performs many functions in our society; the individual can use it to find their place in the world, while it can also level the playing field between the powerful and powerless. Follow and join the conversation on Twitter with #digihuman and find even more background on http://thedigitalhuman.tumblr.com/ . There's never been a greater engine of mischief than the internet. Aleks hears first from writers Tim Wright and Rob Bevan. Like all writers, procrastination and distraction are constant companions but if your speciality is digital storytelling, the temptation to play tricks can be irresistible. When Tim decided to construct a hoax for Rob, little did he know just how consuming it would become and how it would affect how they go about storytelling. We also hear from US history professor T Mills Kelly about his course 'Lying about the Past' where he prepares his students for sifting through all the historical mischief making online. Lewis Hyde is a respected author whose titles include Trickster Makes This World or How The Disruptive Imagination Creates Culture. He explains the role of the trickster in myth and legend and what we can learn from these figures about the evolution of the digital world.Throughout the programme Aleks will also hear from psychiatrist turned stand-up Taylor Glenn about what's like to be a professional mischief maker. Producers Victoria McArthur and Peter McManus.
