She currently supports multiple school districts across the western NY region, guiding projects from pre-referendum through construction, including capital improvement initiatives focused on safety, accessibility, technology integration, and flexible, future-ready learning spaces. A recognized leader and advocate for educational design, Courtney is a former New York Chapter President and current Northeast Region President-Elect of the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE), where she advances interdisciplinary collaboration and industry engagement. Sam talks to Jean van de Velde about his career in the game, which began as a six-year-old in Mont-de-Marsan, in the Pyrenees in south-west France. Growing up in the era of persimmon drivers and balata balls, Jean turned professional in 1987 and went on to compete at the highest level of the game for several decades. He is perhaps best known for his performance at the 1999 Open Championship at Carnoustie, where he slept on a five-shot lead going into the final round.Jean has also been involved in the administration of the game and was instrumental in bringing The Ryder Cup to France in 2018.A huge thank you to Jean for his time on the podcast. In der letzten Folge des Jahres 2025 ist Dani Baijens zu Gast. Moderator Markus Götz merkt schnell, dass man mit dem niederländischen Spielmacher, der seit dieser Saison die Fäden im Angriff der Rhein-Neckar Löwen zieht, sehr gut ins Gespräch kommt. Kein Wunder, dass Baijens zusammen mit Bobby Schagen und Rutger ten Velde vor wenigen Wochen einen eigenen Podcast gestartet hat. Natürlich ist die niederländische Nationalmannschaft ein Thema in dieser Episode. Aber auch der Stellenwert des Handballs in seinem Heimatland. Seit dem vergangenen Sommer spielt Baijens bei den Rhein-Neckar Löwen und fühlt sich pudelwohl. Ein Grund dafür ist seine „Bromance“ mit Teamkollege Edwin Aspenbäck. Wie die beiden zueinander gefunden haben und welche Ziele sie mit den Löwen verfolgen, berichtet der 27-Jährige ausführlich. Seine Karriere begann sehr früh in seiner Heimatstadt Rotterdam. Bei Jugendturnieren in Deutschland träumte er davon, einmal in der “stärksten Liga der Welt“ zu spielen. Nous sommes à la toute fin du XIXe siècle, à Bruxelles. Paul Otlet, juriste, documentaliste, philanthrope, qui sera à l'origine, avec Henri La Fontaine, de la classification décimale universelle, a entrepris de faire construire une vaste demeure , à l'angle des rues de Livourne et de Florence. La commande a été passée auprès de l'architecte Octave Van Rysselberghe. Henry Van de Velde est en charge de la décoration intérieure. Mais les choses ne se passent pas le mieux du monde. Le 17 décembre 1897, Otlet écrit à Rysselberghe : « Non seulement, j'ai eu à me plaindre comme personne des retards apportés à ma maison, mais, aujourd'hui que je suis à même de constater les malfaçons, je vois qu'on ne m'a pas épargné de ce côté ». Quelques temps plus tard, le commanditaire s'adresse à Van de Velde : « Cher monsieur, monsieur Van Rysselberghe me dit que par la suite de votre absence vous n'avez pu vous occuper de la décoration de la cage d'escalier de ma maison. J'ai un échafaudage placé depuis six semaines et ne puis le conserver plus longtemps. Je suis donc obligé de dire à mon peintre de continuer comme il pourra et de rendre ma maison habitable. Croyez bien que j'en suis fort au regret. » Heureusement, nous le verrons, les choses vont s'arranger. Si Henri Van de Velde est passé à la postérité comme étant l'un des fondateurs de l'Art nouveau en Belgique, le souvenir d'Octave Van Rysselberghe est beaucoup plus discret. Il faut dire que l'architecte, frère du célèbre peintre Théo Van Rysselberghe, n'a laissé aucune archive, aucun écrit, estimant que seuls les bâtiments comptent. December 4, 1998. New Haven, Connecticut. 21-year old Suzanne Jovin, a senior student at Yale University, leaves her apartment in order to return a set of keys to a building located on the Old Campus. Before she can return home, Suzanne is found murdered in a residential area located nearly two miles from the campus and it turns out she has been stabbed 17 times and had her throat slit. Suspicion soon turns towards a Yale lecturer named James Van de Velde, who was functioning as Suzanne's senior thesis advisor, but he maintains his innocence and there is no evidence linking him to the crime. Over the years, a number of different leads emerge, including a promising alternate suspect who was a student at Yale, but the crime is never solved. On this week's episode of “The Trail Went Cold”, we explore the controversial murder of Suzanne Jovin.
