OS är slut och många känner ett tomrum. Det blev ett lyckat OS för Sverige, framförallt i längd. Sedan förra poddavsnittet så har Sverige tagit ytterligare fyra medaljer i längd och skidskytte. Milānas-Kortīnas ziemas olimpiskajās spēlēs otrdien, 10. februārī, sacensību programma Latvijas komandai ļoti piesātināta, kuplā skaitā startējot vairākos sporta veidos. Vakar startēja tikai kamaniņbraucējas, šodien mūsējiem starti piecās disciplīnās. Šodien noteikti jāturpina just līdzi kamaniņu braucējām, jo Elīna Ieva Bota ir trešajā pozīcijā pēc pirmajiem diviem braucieniem. Ne tika labi veicās Kendijai Aparjodei, kura pirmajā braucienā pamatīgi kļūdījās jau sākumā un palika priekšpēdējā (24. vieta). Otrajā braucienā viņa bija astotā ātrākā un pagaidām ir 19.vieta.  Uzklausām abas sportistes Elīnu Ievu Botu un Kendiju Aparjodi. Kamēr gaidām cīņas kamaniņu trasē, var sekot līdzi distanču slēpotājiem Tesero trasē sprinta kvalifikācijā klasiskajā stilā, kur Latvija pārstāvēta gan sieviešu, gan vīru konkurencē. Startēs Kitija Auziņa, Linda Kaparkalēja, Samanta Krampe un Raimo Vīgants, Lauris Kaparkalējs, Niks Saulītis. Turam īkšķus, lai kvalifikācijā izdodas iespraukties 30 labāko vidu un turpināt sacensības. Šodien arī sacensības biatlonā vīriešiem 20 km individuālajā distancē, kur trasē dosies visi četri mūsējie – Andrejs Rastorgujevs, Renārs, Birkentāls, Rihards Lozbers un Edgars Mise. Viens veterāns un trīs olimpiskie debitanti. Vēlot veiksmi sportistiem, uzklausām bijušo biatlonistu Gundaru Upenieku, kurš vēl nesen rīkoja Madonā IBU kausu junioriem. Šorttreka trasē 1000 metru kvalifikācijā startēs Roberts Krūzbergs un Reinis Bērziņš ar mērķi tikt pēc iespējas tālāk. Šorttrekā izdzīvošana pati par sevi ir rezultāts, un nekas nav garantēts pat favorītiem. Māris Bergs treniņā uzklausīja Robertu Krūzbergu. Bet dienas noslēgumā daiļslidošana. Rit otrā diena ziemas olimpisko spēļu diena Itālijā, kurā arī Latvijas sportisti ir trasēs. Biatlonisti stafetē izcīnījuši 12. vietu. Distanču slēpotājs Raimo Vīgants skiatlonā palika 51. vietā. Gaidām kamaniņu braucēju startu. Sniega trasē Antholcā aizvadīta pirmā disciplīna biatlonā – 4x6km jauktā stafete komandām. Šī disciplīna OS ir jau kopš 2014. gada, bet Latvija tajā piedalījās pirmoreiz.  Startēja Andrejs Rastorgujevs, Renārs Birkentāls, Baiba Bendika un Estere Volfa. Latvija 21 komandas konkurencē finišēja 12. vietā. Tesero distanču slēpošanas trasē šodien skiatlona sacensībās kungiem starp 75 dalībniekiem bija arī latvietis Raimo Vīgants. Viņam šīs ir otrās spēles pēc dalības Pekinā pirms četriem gadiem, kur viņš šajā disciplīnā palika 51. vietā. Arī šoreiz Raimo izcīnīja 51. vietu. Sportists pats pēc finiša nebija īpašā sajūsmā, bet nebija arī pārāk sarūgtināts. Kā zināms, viņam labāk veicas sprinta distancē. Savukārt Kortīnā šovakar gaidāmi divi izšķirošie braucieni kamaniņās vīriešiem. Pēc pirmajiem diviem braucieniem Kristers Aparjods ieņem 4. vietu, no labāko trijnieka atpaliekot aptuveni divas desmitdaļas no sekundes, bet Gints Bērziņš noslēdz desmitnieku. Lai vērtētu mūsu sportistu sniegumu un izredzes, sazināmies ar Latvijas kamaniņu sporta federācijas ģenerālsekretāru Kristapu Mauriņu, kurš pats arī 2014. gadā bija olimpisko spēļu dalībnieks.  Vēlam veiksmi sportistiem, sacensībām līdzi varēs sekot Latvijas TV jau no plkst. 18.

“Mi perdoni Don ma…di fronte a tutto questo…come si fa a credere che Dio è padre?”Comincia con questa frase, tratta dal libro “Stava Perché” di Graziano Lucchi, l'ultima puntata dedicata alla storia della Valle di Stava e di chi venne coinvolto dal disastro del 19 luglio 1985.Sono le parole di un ragazzo scampato a una colata mortale che si portò via 268 persone.Sono queste le parole che vengono poste d'istinto, di pancia, di sconforto, di rabbia al parroco di Tesero Don Giovanni Cionci.D'altronde a chi altri ci si potrebbe rivolgere?Il 19 luglio 1985 non si sa ancora cosa ci sia stato dietro al collasso dei bacini di decantazione.E' impossibile darsi una risposta, non lo si può fare senza gli elementi processuali che devono ancora essere riesumati dalle indagini. Viene naturale farsi delle domande, viene spontaneo interrogarsi su come sia stato possibile che in una manciata di minuti si siano cancellate una valle e centinaia di vite.Non si può soprassedere alle emozioni di un momento così confuso.E allora si tenta di rimanere agganciati a una qualsiasi fede, allo spiraglio di una speranza concessa da qualcuno o da qualcosa.Ma come si fa di fronte a tutto quello che è appena venuto giù da Pozzole?Come si fa a non mettere in discussione Dio?Una mossa disperata tanto per chi è abituato ad ascoltare le omelie di Cionci sia per chi non ha mai varcato il portone della chiesa di Tesero. Perché quella visione è opprimente.Sul Rio Stava ci sono già i primi soccorritori, dal ponte di Tesero si riesce a vedere la portata della distruzione. In Val di Stava la situazione si fa sempre più intricata.A vigilare sulle miniere c'è il Distretto Minerario di Trento, ma non si è mosso.Ai vertici nessuno parla di sicurezza, di condizioni precarie, di ipotetica instabilità dei manufatti.Al centro del mirino c'è l'abitato di Stava, proprio sotto Pozzole. Passano 9 giorni dalla richiesta della concessionaria poi, il 21/06/1974, la giunta Comunale di Tesero si riunisce.E' il primo giorno d'estate, una stagione cruciale per la Val di Stava che gestisce importanti flussi turistici.Le scuole in Italia sono praticamente finite, alcune famiglie si stanno già mettendo in viaggio per raggiungere le montagne, gli alberghi sono a regime, i locali attendono i primi incassi importanti dopo il disgelo e una primavera anonima.Ma la giunta Comunale di Tesero non si è ritrovata per un piano relativo ai flussi turistici.All'ordine del giorno c'è la richiesta della concessionaria che comincia seriamente a preoccupare.Contatto mail: andataeritorno.podcast@gmail.comMusic by Epidemic SoundNewsletter: https://andataeritornopodcast.substack.com/

Durante la costruzione delle fondamenta del secondo bacino emersero delle stranezze.L'argine di base venne costituito prettamente da terreno di scavo, privo di elementi drenanti (fascine e blocchi di basalto) che invece caratterizzarono la prima discarica.Ma non solo, non ci sono ancoraggi al terreno.Non c'è cemento armato che tiene saldo il tutto a un fondo comunque precario. Inoltre una porzione del secondo bacino invade lo spazio del primo, appoggiando sopra di esso una parte del suo peso. Le due vasche sono vicinissime, una sopra l'altra. Il sito destinato all'edificazione delle discariche venne scelto a tavolino: località Pozzole, a valle del Monte Prestavel, su un terreno acquitrinoso e in pendenza, proprio sopra le teste dei centri abitati che si sviluppano lungo le sponde del Rio Stava, dall'omonima frazione per scendere poi giù fino a Tesero.Ma perché Pozzole e non un altro posto?Me lo sono chiesto più volte. Mi sono trovato di fronte a un paradosso in cui l'intelligenza e la negligenza collidono. Non ho saputo interpretare il motivo di un posizionamento del genere, poi nel libro “Stava Perché" di Graziano Lucchi ho trovato una risposta.Il quotidiano L'ADIGE riporta le parole dell'”Associazione Sinistrati Val di Stava” - 04/06/1987 a circa 2 anni dal disastro: “Il problema delle scorie, si sa, e` un problema di costi che si inserisce nell'economicita` di gestione e nella redditività dell'impresa. Ecco allora la scelta dei prati di Pozzole sopra Stava, un'ubicazione la più vicina possibile alla miniera ed alla laveria, che elimina i costi di trasporto del materiale di scarto. Una scelta tecnica sbagliata, una scelta economica corretta. Ecco le progettazioni approssimative, ecco lo scarico massiccio di materiale che consente la redditività della laveria anche per la lavorazione di materiale che proviene da altre miniere: scelte economiche corrette che si mescolano alle scelte tecniche. Ecco la superficialità, la noncuranza, l'approssimazione e l'incuria che contraddistingue la gestione ultraventennale delle discariche, fonte di costo e non di reddito. Ecco le scelte politiche, di una politica che a tutti i costi deve assicurare dei posti di lavoro. E` un sistema perverso fatto di scelte che privilegiano l'interesse economico e la produzione di reddito, alla difesa di poche decine di posti di lavoro, alla sicurezza di intere popolazioni. La prima concessione per l'estrazione e la successiva lavorazione della fluorite venne rilasciata agli inizi di marzo 1935, all'incirca un anno dopo l'effettivo rilevamento dei filoni.Per circa 25 anni - praticamente fino agli inizi degli anni ‘60 - le attività correlate alle miniere del monte Prestavel furono piuttosto contenute rispetto a quello che sarebbe successo negli anni successivi.I dati che indicano la quantità di materiale estratto dalla montagna - e per materiale si intende tutto, proprio tutto (sia fluorite che altri materiali non utili alla lavorazione - in gergo tecnico: ganga) sono diversi rispetto a quelli che caratterizzarono la produzione e la lavorazione mineraria dal 1960 al 1985. Piera Ciresa is the co-owner of the Ciresa Val di Fiemme, a tonewood company located in the small village of Tesero high up in the Italian Alps. The company provides spruce for violin instruments and piano sound boards that was harvested from the Val di Fiemme, the Valley of the Flame, where the great violin makers of old such as Stradivari, Guarnari, and Amati got their wood. The interview begins in a special park in the town of Cavalese where important political and economic decisions, including the management of the forest, were made by elected representatives of the community going back as far as the Middle Ages. I later toured the factory with Piera and learned about “bearclaw” spruce.
