April 18, 2024 - On this weekly episode of The Depot Dive, Joe Clark and Ross McCorkle kick things off by wishing a very special happy birthday to Steelers Depot on its 16th anniversary. They then dive right into the week's topics and discuss the finalized list of pre-draft visitors including a high level overview of the number of players at each position that came to town and some surprising names to consider, including some top inside linebackers that were added to the list over the last few days. Next, they talk about something said by CBS Sports' Aditi Kinkhabwala stating that the Steelers could potentially draft a quarterback at some point with QB coach Tom Arth doing his due diligence. Which prospects have the Steelers shown interest in, and how late in the draft could a QB be drafted? They wrap up the topics with talking about some words from Post-Gazette insider Gerry Dulac, stating his opinion that the Steelers will select Duke OL Graham Barton in the first round and some thoughts on the WR2 situation in Pittsburgh. The show is wrapped up by a voicemail question from a listener about the prospects of trading up or down in the draft. February 16, 2024 - Season 14, Episode 91 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday show, which was recorded Thursday night, Alex Kozora and Josh Carney jump right into talking about the East-West Shrine Bowl, getting Josh's perspective from the week in Dallas looking at some 2024 NFL Draft prospects. Josh went about highlighting some of his top prospects from the Shrine Bowl that could be fits for the Steelers in the 2024 NFL Draft, including Florida State cornerback Renardo Green and Ohio State linebacker Steele Chambers. Alex and Josh then talk about the recent report from The Draft Network regarding the Steelers meeting with West Virginia offensive lineman Doug Nester at the Shrine Bowl, and how he could potentially fit in Pittsburgh in the trenches. Following the talk about the East-West Shrine Bowl, Alex and Josh get into the recent coaching hires, giving additional thoughts on Steelers' wide receivers coach Zach Azzani quarterbacks coach Tom Arth. Josh did a deeper dive on Azzanni following his hiring and gives his thoughts on what Azzanni brings to the table as the next receivers coach in Pittsburgh. Later, Josh defends his take on the Steelers needing to be aggressive at the punter position in the 2024 NFL Draft, specifically regarding Iowa's Tory Taylor and BYU's Ryan Rehkow, following the release of Pressley Harvin III. Alex and Josh also cover recent comments made by former Steelers' GM Kevin Colbert regarding his view on analytics and the backlash that those comments received earlier in the week. Finally, Alex and Josh wrap up the 66-minute show with thoughts on the QB rumor carousel regarding the Steelers, featuring the likes of Ryan Tannehill, Russell Wilson, Mason Rudolph and Justin Fields. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. February 12, 2024 - Season 14, Episode 89 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday show, Alex Kozora and I get right to recapping Super Bowl LVIII that took place on Sunday in Las Vegas, Nevada and resulted in the Kansas City Chiefs being crowned World Champions again after beating the San Francisco 49ers. We discuss several aspects of that game and main takeaways from it with offseason now officially being underway. How important is the quarterback position in the NFL and especially when it comes to Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and the talent that he was surrounded by in 2023? We relate that topic to the Pittsburgh Steelers and the outlook for them at the quarterback position heading into the offseason. On Sunday morning there was a national media report concerning veteran quarterbacks Mason Rudolph and Ryan Tannehill. We break down those specu-reports and talk a little bit about contractual value when it comes to each player. Last week, Steelers team president Art Rooney II made some additional comments about the team potentially trading for a quarterback this offseason that Alex and I failed to recap during the Friday episode, so we make sure to rewind and do that in the Monday show. We also discuss what former Steelers DC Dick LeBeau told our own Scott Brown about Arthur Smith, the team's new offensive coordinator. Alex has now looked deeper into new Steelers QB coach Tom Arth since his hiring last week, so we go over what he now knows about him. We discuss what Arth brings to the Steelers quarterback room moving forward. Will the Steelers win another Super Bowl in the next 15 years? We briefly hit that topic during this show. We also go over the early Super Bowl odds for the 2024 season in relation to the Steelers. Several other minor topics not noted are also discussed in this 78-minute episode and we end it by answering several questions that we received from listeners of the show. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. February 9, 2024 - Season 14, Episode 88 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday show, Alex Kozora and I get right to the latest news concerning the Pittsburgh Steelers and additions to their coaching staff that surfaced on Thursday. We tell you everything we know so far about Zach Azzanni and Tom Arth and their respective and expected roles on the coaching staff. We also discuss what the latest outlook is on the staff for Mike Sullivan, who has been the team's quarterbacks coach. The annual NFL Honors ceremony took place on Thursday night and on the heels of that, Alex and I discuss Steelers OLB T.J. Watt finishing second to Cleveland Browns DE Myles Garrett for the 2023 NFL AP Defensive Player of the Year award. We go over the voting results when it comes to that award and examine the overall process and makeup of the 50-person committee. Alex and I also talk about the other results and awards that included members of the Steelers organization. Steelers DT Cameron Heyward was announced as the 2023 Walter Payton Man of the Year on Thursday night, so Alex and I make sure to spend a lot of time recognizing that accomplishment. We go over key elements of Heyward's acceptance speech that stood out Thursday night. With our team back from the 2024 Senior Bowl, we have our second pre-draft roundtable discussion based on players who took part in that annual college all-star event, which was held in Mobile, Alabama this year. This roundtable discussion includes site contributors Jonathan Heitritter and Ross McCorkle. Alex and I go through most of the position groups with the two and talk specifically about several individual players. If not already doing so, make sure to follow Jonathan (@J_Heits) and Ross (@Ross_McCorkle) on Twitter and if you get a chance, please thank them all for their time and evaluations. Later in this show, Alex and I quickly preview Super Bowl 58, which will take place on Sunday in Las Vegas. We provide our score predictions for the Super Bowl game and who we each think will be named the game's Most Valuable Player on Sunday night. Several other minor topics not noted are also discussed in this 120-minute episode. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Folks! We made it! FOOTBALL IS BACK! It sure is a beautiful thing. We got a little taste of it last Saturday (sorry if you're a Nebraska fan), but this week is the first full slate of the season. We hope you all have your schedules cleared, because we have five straight days of college football lined up in front of us. You absolutely love to see it. On the pod this week, Zach and Steve take a look at the biggest games of the weekend in the MAC. Many MAC teams have question marks heading into the season, and there is a strong slate of opponents on deck. There will certainly be no time for slow starts. The boys attempt to answer some questions that each squad is facing. If you're a Bowling Green fan, what type of performance do you need to see from the Falcons against Tennessee to inspire confidence? BG is a massive underdog, and certainly appear to be overmatched on paper. If you're Akron, where is the offense going to come from? The Teon Dollard news was a major blow to the Zips, and the timing makes it even worse as Tom Arth's squad heads to Alabama to take on Auburn on Saturday night. Can Ohio knock off a P5 foe in Tim Albin's first game? Can Kent State slow down the Texas A&M rushing attack? Can Miami break Cincinnati's 14 game winning streak in the Battle of the Victory Bell? We won't pretend to know the answers to any of these questions, though we can certainly give our best guesses. As always, thanks for stopping by this week folks. Stop back next week for a full recap of week one, as well as a preview of week two. Have a great weekend folks! Happy football season! Learn more about your ad choices. Happy Friday folks! Another week of the offseason is behind us, and we are a month away from football! Kicking off the show this week, Zach and Steve quickly breakdown the potential implications of Texas and Oklahoma's pending move to the SEC. Where is college football headed? How will the ripple effects of this move impact the MAC? It's certainly been a wild week in the college football world, and we'll all be watching to see how this potential realignment plays out. Also in the news this week, the boys take a quick look at the pre-season awards watch lists that have been released. The MAC placed four offensive lineman on the Outland Award Watch List, and six (!!) punters on the Ray Guy Award Watch List. The conference has certainly been well represented this off-season, and it's great to see some of the best athletes in the conference get some pre-season recognition. Moving into our season previews, Zach and Steve first take a look at Eastern Michigan. Chris Creighton has done a phenomenal job in his time in Ypsilanti, and this year he may just have his most talented group yet. Though they were picked fifth in the west, 21 starters return, and this offense could be one of the best in the conference. Will the defense improve enough to get the Eagles back to a bowl game? That is the million dollar question. Regardless, the boys think that the Eagles have enough talent this year to compete for a post-season spot. In the east division, we take a look at Akron. The Zips program was a mess when Tom Arth was hired three years ago, and he has done a lot to solidify the roster. The offense found some good pieces last year, namely RB Teon Dollard. If the Zips young offensive line can show improvement this year, the offense could take a big step forward. On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of questions remain. Zips fans can take solace in their strong linebacking core, led by Bubba Arslanian and Brandon Bischof. The Zips may not be ready to compete for a bowl berth just yet, but things seem to be moving in the right direction in Northeast Ohio. As always, thanks for stopping by this week folks. Next week, we'll continue our season preview series and take a look at Central Michigan and Ohio. Have a great weekend, and we'll see you back here next Friday! Learn more about your ad choices.
