The future is now. Dale Earnhardt Jr. sits down with three up-and-coming female racers who are already making names for themselves on the grassroots level. Lanie Buice, Jade Avedisian, and Isabella Robusto sit down with Dale Jr. to share their stories and make it known that their names are ones to remember.First, Dale Jr. sits down with CARS Tour driver Lanie Buice. Buice is a first-generation talent who shares what kinds of challenges come with breaking into the racing scene. Dale became easily impressed by Lanie's speed after racing against her at Florence and was taken aback by her ability to go out and make lap time. The stage is never too big for Buice, and she will be one to watch in the coming years as she continues to hone in on her abilities. Next, Dale Jr. welcomed in dirt and asphalt racer Jade Avedisian. At the young age of 18, Jade has already made appearances in the Tulsa Shootout, Chili Bowl, and the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Tour, where she won the national championship. Dale made note of Jade's impressive tenacity and confidence she shows on any given weekend, and learns more about where she gets those abilities from. Avedisian also opened up about her return from a concussion and how she made the decision to step out of the car to focus on her recovery. If you weren't a fan before, you will be now. Finally, Dale chats with ARCA driver Isabella Robusto. She and her twin brother grew up racing each other, both rising through the ranks as young race car drivers. Isabella caught her first big break when she entered the Drive For Diversity Program, which propelled her to a deal with Toyota Racing Development. She discusses having to step out of the car for 10 months for recovery from a concussion and explains why that time away from the car only reaffirmed her passion to drive race cars. Dale also provides her with advice ahead of her debut at Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend. She is wicked fast on the track and is only getting better with every lap she runs. In the third and final installment of our interview, Joe Dan Bailey wins the 1990 Daytona 500 … and then goes to work for Richard Childress Racing, where he proudly shows off his ring for that infamous event. With RCR, Joe Dan helps Dale Earnhardt win his sixth AND seventh Winston Cup championships. Still, in the topsy-turvy world of NASCAR, Joe Dan isn't able to find career stability until going to work for Toyota Racing Development, where he's been for nearly 18 years now. We then delve into the April 9, 1992 issue of Winston Cup Scene. Alan Kulwicki has to come back from HIS late pit miscue to race Dale Jarrett HARD for the win at Bristol … and eventually does take the checkered flag. Davey Allison has the first of what would be several hurdles he'd have to clear in 1992. Hosts Rick Houston and Steve Waid do a little race parlay … JUST FOR FUN. Turns out, Rick, Steve and Buddy Parrott have a hero in common. Barry Dodson and some of his guys move in at Whitcomb Racing … while some former Whitcomb crew members have to move out. Barry was leaving the ill-fated Team III, while Kenny Wallace remembers that effort as one of the worst times in his career. We then unveil a semi-, kinda-sorta, maybe, almost comprehensive list of teams for which legendary crew chief/chassis expert "Suitcase" Jake Elder worked over the years. Denny Hamlin is back after a rough couple of days on and off the track. On Thursday, the No. 11 team was given an L2 penalty for an engine-rule violation. Denny explains what happened at TRD that caused NASCAR to punish him. He also talks about the impact this will have during the Playoffs. On Saturday, things got worse when he was involved in a massive wreck that ended his race. Denny watched the rest of the race from his bus, where he saw Harrison Burton get the win and punch his Playoff ticket. Denny and Jared also discuss if Christopher Bell should have jumped to the outside lane and moved in front of Burton before Burton made his last push. After a crazy wreck last week, NASCAR made a slight change to the cars to try and prevent them from going airborne. On Saturday, we saw Michael McDowell come off the ground without flipping over. But then, Josh Berry flipped onto his roof before hitting the wall. While both wrecks looked bad, Denny still isn't worried about cars coming off the ground. The guys also talk about the massive implications that come from Burton winning on Saturday. For Wood Brothers Racing, it was a big financial win. On the flipside, drivers on the bubble lost one more available playoff spot with only one race in the regular season left. Burton was 34th in points coming into Saturday and with him winning, the Playoff format is once again coming into question. One of those drivers who might miss the Playoffs now is 23XI's Bubba Wallace. Denny chats about his driver's situation. Off the track, Trackhouse made big news announcing that they acquired a third charter for SVG. The guys chat about SVG's future and Zane Smith losing his ride for next year. For more Actions Detrimental content, head to our YouTube page: https://www.youtube.com/@ActionsDetrimentalFanDuel disclaimer: 1+ and present in North Carolina. Collectively, In Wheel Time Car Talk has been attending events at Houston Raceway Park since the very first time the gates were opened. With our close proximity and diverse backgrounds of our crew, we have managed to see a lot of changes over the years and we were saddened to hear it is shutting down operations. One of our interviews with Antron Brown actually garnered an award from the Texas Auto Writers Association as part of a radio broadcast. So while we hate to see things change, things change and we are joining with all the other fans to say a big thank you for the memories! Our first guest is from the NHR Top Fuel catagory - Justin Ashley.
