So if it's one thing we know people are good at it's making other things go extinct. We are living during one of the great mass extinct events. But every now and again, we come across a bird that was thought to have gone extinct, only for them to be rediscovered, sometimes hundreds of years later. Well, this year, we are going to meet three birds that were thought to be extinct only to be found alive and (not so) well many years later. To support Bird of the Week and gain access to our second podcast, What's up with that's Bird's Name? click on through to Patreon: www.patreon.com/birdoftheweekWant birds in your inbox? Bob and Brad pit all 32 films from Season Seven against each other in a Madness-style bracket. As the stakes get higher and the decisions tougher, our hosts aren't just debating over films; they're sampling and reviewing three exceptional bourbons from Barrell Craft Spirits: Foundation, A Tale of Two Islands, and Amburana Finished. So, sit back, pour yourself a glass, and join us as we embark on this fiery abyss of movie battles and bourbon bliss. -- From the suspenseful twists of "Dial M for Murder" to the timeless humanity of "Ikiru," each film brings its own flavor to the screen. Like the complex notes of Barrell Craft Spirits' Foundation, the Round of 32 offers a foundation of film critique that sets the stage for all the discussions to come. Films face off, opinions clash, and sometimes, only the flip of the fabled "Coin of Destiny" can cut through the tension. When the intensity of film matchups needs a counterbalance, the smooth and exotic notes of "A Tale of Two Islands" bourbon give our hosts a momentary respite—a tasting experience as unique as the films they're dissecting. But the journey doesn't end there. As we move into the Round of 16, the Amburana Finished bourbon—with its bold, innovative finish—mirrors the innovative spirit of the remaining films, each a testament to the director's bold vision and unique style. In this episode, you're not just a listener; you're part of a passionate community of film lovers and whiskey enthusiasts. Today on the podcast, I speak to Julia Matthews –founder of Two Islands, a range of lifestyle food and dietary supplements creating daily rituals for skin, hair, nails, joints, gut health, brain and sleep. Made in Aotearoa, Two Islands is a blend of science and nature, an expertly formulated range of intentionally crafted supplements using only the highest quality ingredients at effective doses. Two Islands aims to simplify wellness and give its customers greater control over the health of their bodies, peace of mind and possibly even delight their soul.Since the brand's launch in 2017, Two Islands has quickly grown to be one of the most successful and recognised wellness brands in New Zealand, with over twenty-seven thousand followers on Instagram.Like with many of my guests, you will hear in this episode that I am a big brand fan of Two Islands and I've been using the Protein Powder in my daily smoothies for years. As well as the taste and quality of the product, I've always really admired the brand from a business sense, from the outset the branding and marketing has always been so beautiful, simple, and clever, standing out from others on the shelf. I first approached Julia to come on the podcast about 6 weeks before the birth of her twin-baby girls so the timing didn't quite work. I was absolutely thrilled to get the chance to talk to Juls for my 50th episode. After watching the brand from afar, I was desperate to learn all about the inner workings of the brand and this conversation didn't disappoint. I am in so much admiration of the business Juls has created and her role within it – I want a business like Two Islands for myself! I love that she has created a business that ticks so many boxes – a wellness product that is honest and ethical, beautiful branding, clever marketing and so many great opportunities for business growth both here and further afield, and it's just a really cool business. So, if you don't already know all about Two Islands you can find their incredible product range and learn more about ingredients and the brands ethos at twoislandsco.com or follow on Instagram at @twoislandsco. I know you will love my chat with Juls as much as I did.For more podcast information visit supercreativepodcast.com Hosted by Catie DawsonBought to you by Somewhere CreativeFind us on Instagram - @supercreativepodcast

Andrew Kleidon talks with Pulse editor Debra Fitzgerald about two islands reported in the March 10 issue of the Peninsula Pulse. One of the islands is the creation of artist Lee Mothes, yet has all the trappings of a real place, including the ability to buy and develop land. The other island off the tip of the Door peninsula is, depending who you talk with, a stinking outpost with inhabitants that pollute the water and deplete the fishery, or a necessary sanctuary and nesting spot for colonial birds.
