Nothing holds an edge like Valyrian Steel... except maybe the return of the best podcast about collecting movie props! The boys are back for a brand new season, and they're chatting what's new in props, House of the Dragon, and what's ahead for The Stuff Dreams Are Made Of. Then, David and Ryan are joined by swordsmith (don't call him "master") Peter Johnsson of Sweden who designed and built the "hero" versions of the famous Targaryen ancestral swords, Blackfyre and Dark Sister. How does one go about forging Valyrian Steel? Tune in and find out.

Sotheby's is exhibiting and auctioning the work of 180 Burning Man artists from around the world. More than a third are women, and more than a third are people of color. The offerings are a mix of the sculptures, painting and photographs traditionally displayed in galleries, as well as experiences, mutant vehicles, and NFTs. It's a collaboration and a collision. It's an experiment in bridge building with an institution historically known for overt commodification. It's a vehicle for appreciating art based on intrinsic aesthetic value. It's a nod to artists. Stuart talks with Kim Cook, Director of Creative Initiatives for Burning Man Project, the bold guide of this collaboration for advancing a values-based culture, and embracing the beastly art marketplace while being pro-artist, anti-racist, and taking not taking ourselves too seriously seriously.Boundless Space… The Possibilities of Burning Manhttps://journal.burningman.org/boundlessspace/

We were joined by guest Tommy Pappas of the TKOK Podcast network to discuss the whereabouts of: Blackfyre, Dark Sister, Brightroar, the crown of Aegon the Conqueror and quite a few others. We'll also discuss how and why they might return to the fold... and the pages of ASOIAF. As Euron and Melisandre are wont to tell us, power itself flows from the trappings of power, and there's really nothing like carrying Valyrian steel at your hip (or on your head). Just ask Tywin Lannister, it took him some 30 plus years to get his hands on some, and he didn't exactly play fair. "I know death, it's got many faces, I look forward to seeing this one" - Arya Stark. The Final Countdown begins as The Riddikulus Crew launches into the series ending season of Game of Thrones! In this installment, we tackle the plots, full circle moments, questions and debates of the first two episodes in Season 8. We start with the largest army the world's ever seen making it's way through the Winterfell gates at long last. Will the North accept them? Or will there be conflict? Many of our fan favorites have long awaited reunions for the first time in years and in a few cases, the first time since The Song of Ice and Fire began. The army of the dead continue their march south with their one and only goal: To erase the memory of mankind from the planet. There is Dragon to forge and weapons to make for the fight against the enemy that doesn't tire and can only be killed by three resources, Valyrian Steel, Fire and Dragonglass. Daenerys is trying her best to earn the respect of Sansa and the Northerners who are skeptical of the Dragon Queen, while Jon has to defend his decision to give up his crown. Sam tells Jon a shocking truth in the Stark crypts, but how will Daenerys react when Jon tells her? Battle plans are made and everyone is taking their last hours to enjoy the calm before the storm. Will our heroes set aside their differences for the upcoming war? Or will pettiness, jealousy and pride put the entire existence of mankind at risk? Find out with us here as we are turning the final corner in this arc because as Bran said "“We don't have time for all this. The Night King has your dragon. He's one of them now. The Wall has fallen. The dead march south.”

ToB is back to breakdown Season 8 Episode 2: “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms”, which proves to be a predominantly light, genuinely heartwarming, and endlessly joyful episode; a rarity among GoT episodes and feels almost too good to be true.. Jaime receives a cold welcome in Winterfell, Dany questions Tyrion’s value as the Hand of the Queen, Brienne vouches for the Kingslayer, Theon vows to protect Bran, the remnants of The Night’s Watch reunite in Winterfell, Arya celebrates life in the face of imminent death, Dany opens up to Sansa, Tormund tells a campfire story, Jon reveals his true identity to Daenerys, Jorah once again wields a Valyrian Steel sword, and Brienne earns a title befitting of her character… all whilst preparing for the greatest battle of their lives. Season 8, Episode 2 "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" is over and everyone is going to die. Just like the characters in the show, our heroes--Kevin and Andrew--gather around the fire, consume some wine, and contemplate their mortality as death marches. But mostly they tell some above average jokes and do a little gambling. The fellas also predict whether each character will survive next week's Battle of Winterfell. Smoke 'em while you got 'em, next week is going to be a bloodbath.

Læn dig tilbage, sæt en kande te over og press play på din yndlingspodcast.GODT NYTÅRVirtuelt kram fraStephanie, Naima & Ingrid See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Welcome to another episode of Take the Black, Winter is Coming’s Game of Thrones podcast. This week, our panel is very excited to return to actual episode recapping, as we dissect the Game of Thrones season 7 premiere, "Dragonstone."Our topics include:The best damn cold open in the history of the series. The Night King cometh, and...HOLY SH*T! Are those giant wights?Cory Thone reminds us that one of those undead giants is carrying a long bow (cue legitimately surprised gasps). We have a spirited debate regarding Sansa's insubordination in #Starkbowl2017.At King's Landing, Euron Greyjoy has arrived and he's having none of Jaime's snobbish disdain.Isis thinks Cersei seriously respects Euron. We all agree that Samwell Tarly's montage of poop was arguably the worst thing ever shown on Game of Thrones, and we're including The Mountain smashing Oberyn Martell's head into pulp, on that list.Corey Smith tells us about the special Valyrian Steel dagger seen in a book Sam was studying at the Citadel.Hey, Ed Sheeran had a cameo in the season 7 premiere. We just thought you should know...in case you forgot or weren't aware. We all agree that The Hound stole the show. Finally, Dany landed on Dragonstone and it was awesome.
