Today we are looking into Nottingham Forest's exciting new summer signing - Elliot Anderson, signed from Newcastle United, for a whopping £35 million! or £15m if you count former Forest keeper Vlachodimos in the deal! Elliot Anderson, the talented young midfielder, is set to bring a fresh spark to the City Ground. In this video, we'll take an in-depth look at Anderson's career so far, his standout attributes, and where we think Forest manager Nuno Espírito Santo will deploy him in the lineup. So where exactly will Elliot Anderson play this season, well he could be deployed in the heart of the midfield, where he can orchestrate play and drive the team forward. Or Nuno could utilise him in a more advanced role, supporting the forwards with key passes and creating goal-scoring opportunities. However with his excellent stamina and work rate this could make him an ideal candidate for a dynamic box-to-box role, contributing across the pitch. Let us know what you think will be Anderson best position this season! Let us know if you agree with Wolfie's analysis of our new midfield signing and if you are happy with what you have seen from him so far in pre-season. In a surprising turn of events, it has been reported that Newcastle United have paid a substantial £22 million for Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos. This transfer fee is considered to be significantly above the player's actual market value, which could raise some eyebrows across the football community. Sources indicate that this inflated transfer fee was strategically designed to assist Nottingham Forest in easing their Profit and Sustainability (PSR) financial issues ahead of the crucial June 30th deadline. By securing a higher-than-expected fee for Vlachodimos, Forest are able to improve their financial standing and comply with regulatory requirements. Vlachodimos, a highly skilled goalkeeper with a solid track record, joined Forest from Benfica for around £4m, while his talents are undeniable, the £22 million price tag does seem inflated. And another transfer out of The City Ground who went for good money was Brandon Aguilera, who joined Rio Ave for nearly £6m last month. Give us your opinion on all todays news, as we also bring you details of potential new injury concerns for striker Taiwo Awoniyi. Nottingham Forest reportedly sold Odysseas Vlachodimos to Newcastle United for a hefty fee which changes how we should view the £35m move for Elliot Anderson. They have also sold Brandon Aguilera to Rio Ave in a surprise move, while there is renewed interest in Callum Hudson-Odoi as he is valued at £40m. #nffc Matt Davies is joined by Emily Anderson and Greg Mitchell to discuss all that and reported interest in Lyon defender Jake O'Brien. With Nottingham Forest confirming the signing of Newcastle United's Elliot Anderson today for a price of £35m, the question all Forest fans are asking now, is how much did the club sell goalkeeper Vlachodimos back to Newcastle? In this video we will go through the details of the Vlachodimos transfer and how his amortisation value effects the profit that Forest will make from this deal. Vlachodimos was bought last year for around £4m with additional addon also included in the deal, however with the stopper only making a handful of appearances for the club, it is very unlikely these addons have been reached. The start of July saw the end of the PSR window for all Premier League clubs, and with the purchase of Elliot Anderson occurring right at the end of this window, there are no worries on how this will effect Forest when it comes to PSR concerns. But how have Forest been able to comply with PSR this time, we will take you through all the financial details which helped make the club PSR safe! Give us your opinion on all todays news, and let us know how you feel Vlachodimos leaving for Newcastle, and how excited are you to see new signing Anderson at the City Ground next season. With so many goalkeepers in the Nottingham Forest squad, with all having aspirations of being first choice, the first player to demand more game time is Greek International Vlachodimos. With the purchase of Matz Sels in the January transfer window, Vlachodimos finds himself way down the pecking order at Forest, therefore it comes as no surprise the player is looking for a move if his game time stays the same. Another goalkeeper heading for the exit door at Nottingham Forest is youngster George Shelvey, who has moved to Irish Club Dundalk on a permanent deal. Again with so many keepers on the books at the City Ground, this move makes sense for both the player and the club. We also have an update on Everton's PSR appeal, which is expected to be announced this week. The results of this appeal with have a massive impact on Nottingham Forest, as this will set the precedent for what could happen with Forests PSR charges, where the punishment is expected in the next few months. With the goalkeeper situation at the City Ground currently being very uncertain, there are rumours today that new boss Nuno wants to reunite with an old flame and bring Jose Sa to Nottingham Forest. With Matt Turner having a shaky performance against Manchester United last time out and fellow summer signing Vlachodimos failing to impress also, Forest seem to keen to dip into the market for a new goalkeeper. Current Wolves number one Jose Sa is top of Nuno wish list having previously worked with the portuguese stopper. In other news Emmanuel Dennis looks like he wont be returning to the City Ground anytime soon, as it seems he might be heading upto Scotland to join Rangers. Dennis who is currently on loan in Turkey has failed to impress there and it seems Nuno has no interest in bringing him back to Forest, but is this the right decision or would you like to see Dennis in a Forest shirt again? With the January transfer upon us, there are plenty of rumours around Nottingham Forest potential transfers, both players coming in and those heading to the exit door. With the shaky form of both the new goalkeeper signings from the summer Turner and Vlachodimos, are Forest tempted to dip into the transfer market for a new keeper? There is rumours of a return to the City Ground for old flame Keylor Navas. Navas is currently still in France with PSG, but with no first team football this season he could be tempted back to Nottingham, but is it the right decision for Forest? As for exits from the City Ground, Scott McKenna looks set to be heading up north to join Celtic this month, the Scottish International has been linked with a number of different clubs, but with the Celtic showing interest he could be tempted to move back home. Forest have been tracking the #psveindhoven star midfielder for what seems like forever, but developments in the last 24 hours are hinting that PSV might be close to accepting Nottingham Forest's £30 million plus bid for the Ivory Coast International. It is still unclear if Sangare himself is keen on a move to the City Ground, as PSV have now qualified for the Champions League, he might need some persuading to make the move, but if this happens this would be an amazing signing for Forest, let us know your thoughts on this potential signing. In other news details of the Dominguez transfer from Italian club Bologna are becoming more clear, with the fee looking to be around £9 million, and Freuler looks set to go the other way on a loan with an option to buy. Dominguez looks like a upgrade on Freuler who has failed to impress in his first season in the #premierleague, but are you have with this swap deal, let us know! Odisseas Vlachodimos is also very close to completing his transfer to Nottingham Forest, the goalkeeper has agreed personal terms, and it just need to the two clubs to agree on a fee, which could be around the £12m mark. We also have a round up of all the other latest transfer news, including one outgoing that is heading to Middlesbrough with an option to buy. Nottingham Forest #nffc are ready to brace themselves for numerous bids for Welsh star Brennan Johnson over the last few days of the transfer window, and have already rejected offers from #spurs and #brentford in the last few days. Tottenham Hotspurs are rumoured to have offered £20m plus Sanchez for Johnson, and that offer got swiftly rejected by the club, but Forest are expecting Spurs to come back in with an improved offer, as this deal looks set to head into the final days and hours of the transfer window. With Spurs Johnson's preferred destination, Brentford are outsiders for his signature, but they have also had a bid rejected which was reported as £43m. So this could turn into a bidding war and both clubs battle it out for the signing of the winger. In other news Nottingham Forest continue to hunt for a new left back, a new target is Matt Targett! The Newcastle United left back has fallen down the pecking order at St James Park, and both Forest and Fulham are interested in the player, but it seems Newcastle are not keen to let him go this summer, so we will have to wait and see if this progresses any further. Greek International goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos might be the deal that is more likely to be completed in the coming days, as Benfica and Forest are close to agreeing a fee around the 10 million euro mark. Vlachodimos would add competition for new keeper Matt Turner, and it is unclear who would be the first choice goalkeeper this season.
