Suj and James discuss another eventful weekend in the Premier League, where there was largely success for Free Hitters (including Suj) but disappointment for Erling Haaland Triple Captainers, and James' Wildcard also went okay. But what's perhaps more important is what's next and a big theme around Suj and James' discussion is who might get rotated during a midweek where the spacing of games is particularly bad for Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. The two London sides drew in Sunday's big game whilst Liverpool finally won and kept a clean sheet with Alexadner Isak on the scoresheet, but Mo Salah was an unused substitute. A rest presumably...? There's reflection on the Villa, Brentford and Manchester City assets that largely delivered well for Free Hitters, Newcastle won away with Malick Thiaw - 3rd on James' bench - scoring twice, and Newcastle assets now greatly appeal, as might Manchester United assets after their victory at Crystal Palace. But it was another miserable home day for James' Tottenham. Partie de France le 19 mai 1931 pour traverser d'est en ouest le continent pendant presque deux ans, la mission menée par Marcel Griaule, jeune ethnologue de 33 ans, est un périple transafricain d'exploration scientifique doublé d'une vitrine médiatique dont l'objectif est d'« archiver dans l'urgence les cultures africaines en voie de disparition ». Résultat des courses : une collection de 3 600 objets, 6 000 spécimens zoologiques ou botaniques et 370 manuscrits éthiopiens dont le Musée du Quai Branly décide un siècle plus tard d'interroger la provenance. Autrement dit : ont-ils été offerts, achetés ou volés ? Si le secrétaire archiviste de la Mission Michel Leiris a décrit précisément les méthodes de collecte dans son livre journal de bord, L'Afrique fantôme, son récit invisibilise néanmoins totalement la multitude d'africaines et d'africains indispensables à la réalisation de la mission. Une Afrique fantôme, c'est le titre de son récit qu'il s'agit de réincarner à partir d'une contre-enquête initiée par le Musée du Quai Branly. Son principe ? Retourner sur le terrain africain de la Mission Dakar-Djibouti pour interroger la mémoire des lieux et de ses habitants afin d'établir la réalité des faits et la fonction des objets.
