Suj and James discuss the fallout from a weekend where many Free Hitters saw success with many assets from the popular teams did well, and for a change there were some defensive heroes in the likes of Jose Sa, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Kieran Trippier and Ryan Sessegnon all hauling. There's discussion on all the games as usual as Liverpool confirmed themselves as Champions following their demolition of Tottenham, and the relegation picture is also done after ten man Ipswich lost at Newcastle. The FA Cup Semi Finals are also reflected on with focus on what that now means for the prospect of doubles in Gameweek 36. The outlook now looks tough for those with the Assistant Manager Chip left and that includes, Suj, so what will he do? And James is on Wildcard with eyes on assets to include, but there is one difficult decision to make first off, because captaincy for GW35 looks wide open. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Broadcaster Russ Williams alongside Patrick Tyrant and Marlon From Spurs Kings TV as Wolverhampton Wanderers moved closer to Premier League safety and heaped more misery on Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou with victory at Molineux. Postecoglou made six changes to the Spurs side that drew 1-1 with Eintracht Frankfurt in their Europa League quarter-final first-leg tie, before a second meeting on Thursday that could shape his future. Wolves cashed in with a crucial win that moved them up to 16th place and 14 points clear of the bottom three with six games left. Vitor Pereira's side were on the way to a fourth straight top-flight victory for the first time since January 1972 inside two minutes when Rayan Ait-Nouri scored after latching on to Spurs keeper Guglielmo Vicario's punched clearance on the edge of the area.Wolves doubled their advantage seven minutes before half-time in a moment of high farce, with keeper Vicario pushing Marshall Munetsi's header on to backtracking defender Djed Spence and into his own net. Spurs pulled one back just before the hour mark when Mathys Tel bundled home at the far post after Wolves defender Nelson Semedo made a mess of clearing Brennan Johnson's cross. But Wolves restored their two-goal lead five minutes later when the excellent Ait-Nouri beat Cristian Romero far too easily before crossing for Jorgen Strand Larsen to complete the formalities with a simple finish and scoring for a fourth successive game.Substitute Richarlison gave Spurs brief hope four minutes from time when he bundled home after Wolves keeper Jose Sa touched Romero's header on to the bar. But there was more drama as substitute Matheus Cunha, on for Ait-Nouri after serving a four-match suspension, confirmed 15th-placed Tottenham's 17th league loss this season when Lucas Bergvall lost possession and the Brazilian raced clear and finished calmly. Host Ricky Sacks was joined by Compère Richard Cracknell, Broadcaster/Presenter Marcus Buckland and Marlon via Spurs Kings TV as Jorgen Strand Larsen's late equaliser continued Vitor Pereira's impressive start as Wolves boss after a chaotic Premier League draw with Tottenham. Wolves took an early lead when the unmarked Hwang Hee-chan swept the ball low into the corner from the edge of the box after the Spurs defence had switched off at a free-kick. Spurs equalised shortly afterwards thanks to Rodrigo Bentancur, who glanced a powerful close-range header beyond Jose Sa from Pedro Porro's corner. Tottenham were awarded a penalty when Andre brought down the fleet-footed Brennan Johnson only for Sa to guess correctly and deny Son Heung-min. It did not stymie Spurs' attacking intent and a neat interchange between Dejan Kulusevski and Johnson inside a crowded area culminated in the latter firing home a low shot.Wolves were content to hang in the contest and levelled with three minutes of normal time remaining when substitute Strand Larsen beat Fraser Forster at his near post with a rasping angled shot. Spurs piled on the pressure during 12 minutes of added time but were unable to contrive a winner and finish December with just five points from a possible 21. The link is in the podcast episode description bo#An## Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Richard Cracknell, Russ Williams and Marcus Buckland as Spurs ended a five-game winning run at home in the league with a 2-1 defeat to Wolves at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The visitors went ahead just before half-time when Gomes was left unmarked eight yards out and rose well to powerfully head home Pablo Sarabia's right-wing corner. But Tottenham made it 1-1 after only 34 seconds of the second half. Wolves failed to clear a Spurs throw-in and Dejan Kulusevski ran past Craig Dawson and prodded the ball through Jose Sa's legs. Tottenham had fought back after conceding the first goal to beat Brentford and Brighton in their past two home games and Kulusevski had two chances to put the hosts in front this time. However, Sa made an excellent save low down to his left and Nelson Semedo blocked a goalbound effort to keep it level. Those squandered chances proved significant as Wolves sprang a quick counter-attack with Pedro Neto pulling the ball back for Gomes to side-foot home what proved to be the winning goal. The hosts pushed for a late leveller, but Micky van de Ven and Ben Davies missed chances late on as the visitors held on for the victory. Where the goals are made up and the points don't matter, VAR shook the community with their lackadaisical approach to the Spurs vs. Liverpool match and now this technology needs a revamp fast! Man City finally dropped points and the league thanks Jose Sa and the Wolves, while Luton Town got their first EPL victory!

What is a big save? There be a question which commonly crops up when discussing goalkeeping. Is it the timing of the save? Is it the technique executed to make the save? Is it the magnitude of the game in which the save is made? Or is it just simply a big save? Whichever criteria you plump for, there's no escaping a certain Alisson Becker fell into the big save category at St James' Park on Sunday afternoon. His stop from Miguel Almiron was, well, big in ensuring Liverpool remained in the clash with Newcastle which, as we now know, they went on to win. Competing in that category with the Brazilian was West Ham's Alphonse Areola. Although within his imaginary "arc" (more of that on the show), the 30-year-old kept Brighton at bay with a string of fine stops to justify his inclusion as the Hammers' current No1. In a weekend littered with Saves Galore (see Rich's Erik Thorstvedt reference) Jordan Pickford and Jose Sa pulled off worldies in Wolves' 1-0 triumph at Everton, Jak Alnwick continued an excellent start to the campaign for Cardiff and Swindon's Murphy Mahoney - on loan from QPR - kicked off his clean sheet tally with a first-ever career shutout.

It's been a feature of Planet FPL pre-season content that James has expressed concerns about Wolves ahead of the coming season. On the latest Correspondent Week Podcast Wolves fan Bradley Parker joins James to answer if it's correct to have concerns and if there's any Wolves FPL assets managers should consider. Jose Sa has posted 140+ point seasons in consecutive seasons, can he be considered at 5.0? The ‘Doc' Matt Doherty has returned and many paid 6.0 for him three years ago, can he roll back the years and be considered at 4.5? Who will start up front? Can 5.5 Fabio Silva return from successive loan spells and finally establish himself? Plus, what do The Fosun owners want to do with the club? Is investment required? Are they restricted by FFP? Is the club for sale? And could manager Julen Lopetegui walk before the season even starts!? Had arrangements gone to plan, this podcast would have been recorded and subsequently released about a month ago. Thankfully, that wasn't the case. Because a month ago, Tom King was a goalkeeper who had not long completed a short-term contract in League Two with Northampton Town. Now, he's Tom King of Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers, training alongside Jose Sa and Dan Bentley in a bid to make his mark on the Old Gold. In this episode, the Wales international talks GKU through how the unexpected move materialised, his early impressions of life in the top flight and what he foresees occurring over the next two years of his goalkeeping career. Honest, insightful and, thanks to a TikToktastic social media reference, rather funny.

Enjoy.

Wolves are OUT of the League Cup after Dean Henderson was the penalty shootout hero as Nottingham Forest overcame Wanderers at the City Ground. Wolves failed to reach the Carabao Cup semi-finals – a competition they last won in 1980, beating then-European Champions Forest. Henderson parred away Ruben Neves' spot-kick after Jose Sa had denied Sam Surridge, then turned away Joe Hodge's effort following Forest converting all four of their remaining penalties. It follows an FA Cup farce at the weekend against Liverpool, where a mix of a ridiculous off side ruling and VAR farce meant the game finished 2-2 – with a replay in for the 18 January at Molineux. Is it too early for this to count as a six-pointer? It was certainly a bitterly disappointing result as Wolverhampton Wanderers, lowest scorers in the league, managed to beat Forest in a tale of two penalties; Ruben Neves made his spot-kick count, while Brennan Johnson saw his effort saved by the one-armed Jose Sa. Rich Ferraro is joined by Steven Toplis to discuss the game, the performance, the lack of composure, and to ponder on Steve Cooper's post-match thoughts - the gaffer certainly doesn't seem to be shying away from the challenge. We also hear from Wolves fan Matt Langham, who has some kind words for the Reds after a match in which neither team looked that sharp. Continuing the theme theme of recent episodes, we take a look at how the luck of a goalkeeper can vary when parrying efforts on goal. Some, as we saw with Alisson and David Raya at the weekend, mount counterattacks from which teams take the lead. Others, as we saw with Kasper Schmeichel and Fraser Forster, can fall to opposition players and result in goals conceded. Commentary Corner is back with David Ginola taking centre stage, Jose Sa continues to stake a claim for a spot in Portugal's World Cup squad and David de Gea produced another one of those match-saving saves for Manchester United. In the EFL, Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper admitted he now has a goalkeeping conundrum on his hands after Brice Samba returned as No1 in place of Ethan Horvath, while Plymouth's Michael Cooper was lauded as League One's best stopper by Oxford manager, Karl Robinson.

Host Ricky Sacks was joined by Co-Host Lee McQueen and returning guests to the Last Word On Spurs in Talia Coren and Harry Brooks to this edition of the Last Word On Spurs. Harry Kane returned to Tottenham action as Dele Alli's early penalty saw them edge past Wolves 1-0, with the hosts once again suffering from a lack of final product. All eyes were on the teamsheet at 1pm, where Nuno Espirito Santo had named Kane on the bench for the first time since his delayed return to Spurs after Euro 2020. The striker's future remains very much undecided with nine days left of the summer transfer window, but came on as a 72nd-minute substitute. The away fans sang 'Harry Kane, he's one of our own' as he replaced Heung-Min Son. Alli's ninth-minute penalty proved to be the decisive goal, the midfielder firing his spot-kick into the bottom corner after he had been brought down by Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa. But Wolves dominated much of the game, spurred on by a boisterous Molineux crowd, and will feel aggrieved to have not been awarded their own penalty soon after as Olivier Skipp bundled Nelson Semedo to the floor. However, as was the story under Nuno last season, Wolves suffered from a lack of final product with Raul Jimenez and Adama Traore both going close in a string of efforts as they lost a second successive game 1-0. Tottenham maintain their perfect start to the new Premier League season, with Hugo Lloris marking his 300th Premier League appearance for Spurs with a clean sheet. #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #COYS #EPL #UECL #EuropaConferenceLeague #CarabaoCup #FACup #손흥민 #HeungMinSon #HarryKane
