Courier Talking Football: Dundee FC, Dundee United, St Johnstone and other east coast Scottish clubs
An unexpected Dundee victory over city rivals United saw the Dark Blues stretch their lead over St Johnstone to five points (plus five goals). The Perth side's Premiership safety hopes are still alive, but how far adrift is too far adrift? This week, Stuart Cosgrove, Eric Nicolson and Sean Hamilton ponder Saints' draw with Aberdeen, Zach Mitchell's emergence as a defensive 'Rolls-Royce' and whether any of the strikers on the books fancy making themselves a hero. Canadian comedian and writer Zach Mitchell spent an entire summer vacation listening to every existing Goon Show. While others on the beach were indulging in aquatic horseplay, flicking towels at each other or kicking sand in the faces of skinny sunbathers, Zach was on board Ned Seagoon's snow-plough, avoiding falling pianos outside London embassies and taking up the flugelhorn as a precaution against the dreaded lurgi! This week he joins Tyler to talk about his love for the show - he mounts a robust defence of Series 8, is bewildered by its seeming obsession with knees and is keen to examine Spike Milligan's motives behind some of the show's more 'questionable' content. As well as older comedy they discuss more contemporary offerings, including The Simpsons, The Young Ones (ok, sure, it IS 40 years old but a mere stripling as compared to The Goon Show or The Honeymooners) and even Tim & Eric. They even briefly go all Late Review and talk about Kafka and how his work partly influenced Milligan - or not. It's a fun chat with a lot of diversions - well, what do you expect with this show?
Join us as we record a podcast at the 2022/23 Player of the Year dinner! Finally, one of the evening's organisers Jean Huelin joins us as we wrap up the show. Our thanks to Charlton Athletic FC for providing the players and manager for interview. Episode 89, here comes another one! I have a talk with Zach Mitchell and Elijah Cirricione of the Black Metal band, Chloranthy! We start to find out where each member is from and how they met. We then talk about how they come up with their music and sound and who plays what instruments on their album. I also ask about their recording process and any influences they had for their new album. We then talk about where the lyric ideas come from, we talk a little gaming, and if they believe in the supernatural. I ask about the name, what music the members listen to and more! The opening theme music was made by Hostages who has given me full permission to use it. I also have permission to use song's "'Linnaean Burial" and "Darkroot" from Chloranthy. You can check out Chloranthy at their Facebook at: Chloranthy | Facebook, you can also check out Chloranthy's IG at: Chloranthy (@chloranthyblackmetal) • Instagram photos and videos and also to see Chloranthy's YouTube videos at: Chloranthy - YouTube

In this week's episode I'm joined by Dave Chevrier, Founder of the North American Screaming Eagles. In this episode Dave and I go down memory lane and discuss how we first met, and the inaugural North American Screaming Eagles spring team including Alex Iaffalo, Mark Scheifele, Stuart Percy, myself, Jake Wood, Zach Mitchell, Eric Chevrier, Sean McGovern and the list goes on. We chat about how Chevy came upon the idea of preparatory schools, the amazing opportunity of playing at prep schools in New England, and Chevy's first exposure to Cushing Academy. We dive into the importance of playing in summer hockey showcases and combines locally in the regions you want to play in, how it can help you get significantly more exposure, and how exactly Chevy's tours and showcases have helped provide me more exposure in my journey that led to me going to Avon Old Farms and the University of Vermont. And finally we break down the importance of working with people that have been down the prep road to find the right fit to increase your odds of success dramatically. Chevy's work specifically helping kids find the right situation and schools they're more likely to get admitted to, play more and find the right goalie situation, and lock up significantly more financial aid for them and their families.Click here for full show notes: https://goaliehacks.com/ghp-032-why-prep-school-is-an-opportunity-of-a-lifetime-w-dave-chevrier/**30% OFF NeurotrackerX Until Oct 15th****Join My Mentorship Program*****Checkout My Youtube Channel*****Sign-up For My E-mail List***Send me a DM on Instagram*NeurotrackerX Goalie Hacks Inner Circle Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/goaliehacks)

The Total Tutor Neil Haley will interview Nick Robinson of EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING. Nick is known for his roles as Zach Mitchell in Jurassic World, Joe Toy in The Kings of Summer, Ben Parish in The 5th Wave, and Ryder Scanlon on the ABC Family sitcom Melissa & Joey. From Warner Bros. Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures comes the romantic drama “Everything, Everything,” directed by Stella Meghie and based on the bestselling book of the same name by Nicola Yoon. Never breathe in the fresh air, feel the sun warm your face...or kiss the boy next door? “Everything, Everything” tells the unlikely love story of Maddy, a smart, curious and imaginative 18-year-old who due to an illness cannot leave the protection of the hermetically sealed environment within her house, and Olly, the boy next door who won't let that stop them. The film stars Amandla Stenberg as Maddy and Nick Robinson as Olly, and also stars Ana de la Reguera and Anika Noni Rose. Meghie directed from a screenplay by J. Mills Goodloe. Leslie Morgenstein and Elysa Dutton produced under the Alloy Entertainment banner, with Victor Ho executive producing. The music is by Ludwig Göransson. Warner Bros. Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures present, an Alloy Entertainment production, “Everything, Everything.” The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company, and MGM.
