My guests this week are two extremely important dads when it comes to the world of fatherhood.   Rupesh Bhambwani is a distinguished individual who wears multiple hats with aplomb. His most cherished role is that of a Dad, a title he holds with immense pride. The priceless moments he shares with his children as they grow are the highlights of his life. On the professional front, he boasts a distinguished career spanning over 25 years in the domains of Tech and Telecomms. He is highly regarded as a seasoned Business Leader, renowned for his exceptional Advisory and consulting services to companies. He has also established Cool Dads' Club, India's Premier Dad Community (https://cooldadsclub.start.page/), and is a Founding Member of the prestigious Global Dads Council.  https://www.linkedin.com/in/rupeshbhambwani/   Jonathan Guerrero is the Producer of the syndicated radio program and podcast called The Fatherhood Challenge. The purpose and mission of The Fatherhood Challenge is to turn the hearts of fathers to their children. Production includes both full length episodes of about 30 minutes and PSA's, both 30sec and 1min. He is also Chief Operations Officer at DreamWeaver Therapy PLLC. My role includes website development and maintenance, content development, and podcast producer. It is an absolute joy to support an organization that gives a helping hand and lifts up those who are trying to help others in their communities. There are almost no easily accessible resources for therapists and caregivers when they need it the most. They are human, too, and need support on many levels. We are here in service for them, which is an opportunity I find very fulfilling. https://www.linkedin.com/in/jonathan-guerrero-a6029341/   As mentioned in my ramblings, please go to the website www.four-paws.org and help support them, please.     Tommy Maloney is the Executive producer and host of the podcast Blending The Family, where you can find Apple Podcasts, Iheart Radio, Spotify, and Stitcher Radio.    Tommy has spoken at TEDx Loveland, Ignite Fort Collins and was a Keynote Speaker at Everything Dad Convention. He has written for magazines: The Good Men Project, Modern Gladiator, and Nurture Magazine. Plus, he is a writing contributor to The Greeley Tribune.   Tommy enjoys a good red blend while writing or hiding from the family. A dad to Betsy, Becca, Connor, and Duke (RIP), Otis.       My guest is Denise Boehler, who is my hero when it comes to serving the fur baby community. BIO: Do you need help getting a homeless animal's story out there? Would you like to impart the happy ending to your donors, of a successful adoption story for your website? Do you need help writing a grant and lack the time and skills needed to get your mission and needs across? Research and writing is what I do. Deep listening, processing, inquiry and creating through the written word is all part of the process of human communication. Whether it's writing from the heart, immersing in the intellect, or combining it to convey your needs in the clearest possible language, I am honored to be of service. After years of writing legal publications, I now spend my days writing about animals in need -- of a voice for their rights, of a word for their situation. I draw from the ground of ecopsychology, which allows me to infuse my work with the Buddhist philosophy of compassion and a return to a holistic, more connective relationship with nature. What are your needs? · Are you a nonprofit in need of a passionate, experienced and ecopsychology trained animal advocate? · Are you a rescue dog organization who just needs to get the story out there, but you don't have the time to write it? https://www.linkedin.com/in/colorado-animaladvocate/   This episode is sponsored by my new book "My Dads Advice At 5:04 AM," and you can get it here or here.   Please subscribe to my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFhju6cCeHC9xphoWbN3frA   Tommy Maloney is the Executive producer and host of the podcast Blending The Family, where you can find Apple Podcasts, Iheart Radio, Spotify, and Stitcher Radio.    Tommy has spoken at TEDx, Ignite Fort Collins, and was a Keynote Speaker at Everything Dad Convention. PRE-ORDER: My Dad's Advice At 5:04 AM https://blendingthefamily.com/products/   My guest is the Co-Founder of Fathering Together, Brian Anderson. He has a new book titled "Fathering Together." Bio Brian Anderson is a husband and father to two spirited daughters that keep me inspired and exhausted every day. Prior to co-founding Fathering Together, Brian worked as a social worker, community organizer, university chaplain, and interfaith leadership development consultant. As the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Fathering Together, Brian brings those experiences to empower fathers to be agents for positive change. When not working, Brian serves as an amateur chef for his family and works on his forthcoming book: Fathering Together which provides a roadmap for fathers using servant leadership as a guide.   LINKS: Web — Facebook — Twitter — Instagram — LinkedIn     Book info: https://bit.ly/FTBookPreSale     But here's an excerpt:   The Book Last year, my daughter told me she didn't like me anymore. It is something no parent wants to hear. In that moment, I knew nothing I could say would fix it. I'd broken her trust, and it would take time for me to rebuild and strengthen our bond. In Fathering Together, this story from my life and personal narratives from fellow dads illustrate the changing landscape of fatherhood. The old archetype of dads being breadwinners doesn't cut it anymore. We must be so much more. Thankfully, Robert Greenleaf's servant leadership model provides an answer. Driven by personal narratives from my fellow dads plus research and resources, each chapter creates a roadmap for deeper engagement with your family, your community, and yourself.  In the book, you'll hear from dads who've been there, failed, and succeeded, such as: Ted who went on a personal retreat with his partner to mentally and spiritually prepare for fatherhood. Victor who's quiet son inspired him to relearn how to get the most from life. Matt who is learning new levels of allyship is for his child who identifies as trans* Ultimately, Fathering Together is a nonfiction book that speaks to new and older dads who want to reimagine fatherhood and the relationships they have with those who matter most. & The Movement   Fathering Together is not just a book title. It is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to empowering dads to be agents for positive change. This book is filled with personal narratives from our members and strategies based on their experiences as seen through the model of Servant Leadership created by Robert Greenleaf in the 1960s. Greenleaf intended for his model to be used within business leadership, but its value translates to fatherhood perfectly. Therefore, I'm breaking the book into 3 parts. In Part 1, "Exploring Who Dads Were and Who They Can Be," I outline how past models of fatherhood left so many dads incomplete and disconnected from their families. Then, I shift focus to highlight new models that are emerging and dads who are leading with relationships and emotional connections. In Part 2, "Applying Tenets of Servant Leadership to Fatherhood," I break down Greenleaf's model with personal narratives and stories from my community to show how to shift your mindset and lean into emotional connection. In Part 3, "The Power of Community," I illustrate how we build communities of support, accountability, and vulnerability that work toward equity. Through this model, we can acknowledge our challenges and create strategies for growth and success with our children.   My question before you go. What are you looking forward to tomorrow? Wine is your friend. Choosing a wine is not going to be a mystery after this episode. Have I failed you yet? Do not answer that.   In this episode, we will finally do the show I have wanted to do for a LONG, LONG time.   Many years ago, my friend Zach recommended that my wife Ann and I sit down to work on our weekly budgets to have a bottle of wine.   Live in the home office; I sit down with a friend of the family, Bruce Gammill, who is the closes person to be a wine sommelier that I know. Bruce has worked in wine country at Beaulieu Vineyard. Whenever Bruce has suggested a wine (I am a red guy), he has never disappointed.     We talk about wine suggestions on first dates or cooking for someone new.   One of Bruce's favorite wineries, and you really will not go wrong with it, is Cline. At the liquor store where Bruce spends most of his time, they recently did their weekly wine tasting of several different wines from Cline.   This episode was not just about wine but removing labels to describe kids. Bruce has been married and divorced two times. He talks about life lessons on raising kids in a blended family.     QUESTION!!! What wine do you buy for others?? What comes to your mind when you hear the word "walking"? What comes to your mind? Are you going for a walk? Are you taking your wing dog for a walk? Or are you emotionally "walking"? Moving forward (see what I did there?), we will explore the concept of walking—both physically and metaphorically.  When I go to the dog park with Otis, I spend a lot of time thinking as I walk. I am trying to get away from Headphones and be in tune with the world. Are you walking and listening to this episode? There is no JOB worth sacrificing your mental health. I chose the above picture because it makes me smile and helps with my mental health. Our family dog, "Otis," truly helps my mental health. I hope this episode can help you with prioritizing your life.   Tommy Maloney is the Executive producer and host of the podcast Blending The Family, which you can find on Apple Podcasts, Iheart Radio, Spotify, and Stitcher Radio.  Tommy has spoken at TEDx, Ignite Fort Collins, and Keynote Speaker at Everything Dad Convention. As the flight from Denver to Phoenix was landing, I was not feeling well. Suddenly, my body got cold, and my head felt like it was in a bubble. My next step was to focus on my breathing to calm myself down. But, honestly, I am not sure if it was a form of a panic attack.  Lately, I have been feeling anxious due to just day job stress. We had a very open and honest conversation about how corrupt family courts are.    Dereck's Bio:   Once I realized that my struggle with the family law system was minor compared to the cases of other fathers, I decided to be part of the solution. The Hug-a-Dad Foundation is dedicated to fighting for fathers' rights while influencing a culture of fatherhood and leadership. While fighting to reform family laws, we also look to better prepare our upcoming generations of fathers on effective parenting and productive husband qualities. The Hug-a-Dad Foundation is heavily invested in building a fatherhood community of men who support the progression of one another. I am also a current candidate for the city council in the 6th district of Wichita, Kansas. Please support the fatherhood community by talking to your legislators about family law reform.    Hugadad.com | Facebook   Page 20 062421 | e-Edition | communityvoiceks.com   Reynolds for Wichita Kansas district 6 | Facebook   (1) Dereck Reynolds | LinkedIn       Tommy Maloney is the Executive producer and host of the podcast Blending The Family, where you can find on Apple Podcasts, Iheart Radio, Spotify, and Stitcher Radio.    Tommy has spoken at TEDx, Ignite Fort Collins, and Keynote Speaker at Everything Dad Convention. Cassie Boyd is this week's guest. Who is Cassie? "Hello, I am Cassie Boyd, the mother of two incredible young men, who are 21 and 23. My journey as a mom has led me to the most personal growth that I have ever experienced. I could not have been as successful at it, without my sons. Oprah said, " There comes a time, in parenting, where you go from managing to consult." I couldn't agree more. Being in the beauty industry for the last 35 years, I have shared my story of co-parenting with many. I share both the positive and the negative. I started a YouTube channel called Share Your Heart at the beginning of 2021, and I also have a blog, cassiedoesblogging.blogspot.com. My main purpose with both is to shed light on the challenges, but the most important part is how to move through them.  Remaining a victim is not the answer. I am currently in Education, Salon Development, and Training Concierge for a Hair Extension Company out of San Diego. I Travel all over training stylists on our brand and also training the new trainers." I am a TEDx Speaker, International Divorce Strategist & creator of the free Best Way To Divorce App. I help clients to save thousands in legal fees by showing them how to make dispute resolution become a successful tool in the divorce toolbox, avoiding prolonged court battles. I navigate clients towards ways to co-parent successfully - even if the other parent is very difficult and help make sure clients don't let their divorce harm their children's, or their own, mental wellbeing. When I'm not being a divorce strategist, I'm writing screenplays about the human condition in all its beauty. I took her to obeisance class, and she was my wing dog.   You will hear an episode on the topic of what do you do in a divorce with your pets? My guest is Karis Nafte, who has taken her love of animals and mediation to create a unique business. Her website is: whokeepsthedog.com   Bio: Born in Oregon, Karis started training dogs professionally in 1996. In addition to teaching puppy and obedience classes, she worked at the very first doggy daycare in Portland. As a result, she has a hugely varied background in professional animal work; obedience, agility, aggressive dogs, shelter work, flyball, and movie work with animals.   In 2005 Karis came to South Africa on vacation, fell in love with the country, and decided to stay put. She lives there with her husband, daughter, 3 cats, and 4 dogs.   Known for her humane and effective training and behavior solutions, Karis is a nationally known and well-respected dog behavior expert, regularly appearing on TV and radio interviews.  Her training school, Happy Dogs, offers 60 plus classes per month.  She is a judge for the South African Dog Agility Association and a licensed animal wrangler for the film industry.   Karis became an internationally accredited family mediator after recognizing the need for ‘dog-centered mediation' during a divorce. Now, she combines her wealth of experience of dogs and family pets with mediation to help her clients make the best decision for their dog's long-term wellbeing. karis@whokeepsthedog.com https://abcnews.go.com/Lifestyle/wireStory/heated-divorce-pets-people-78398999   PRE-ORDER: My Dads Advice At 5:04 AM www.mydadsadvicebook.com   Tommy Maloney is the Executive producer and host of the podcast Blending The Family, where you can find on Apple Podcasts, Iheart Radio, Spotify, and Stitcher Radio.    Tommy has spoken at TEDx, Ignite Fort Collins, and Keynote Speaker at Everything Dad Convention.
