Cathryn Michon is a filmmaker, actor, animal advocate, and she joins us to talk about her latest book, “I'm Still Here: A Dog's Purpose Forever.” So many of us are dog lovers. After all, they are our family. Did you ever wonder why dogs don't live longer? Cathryn addresses that and so much more in her national bestseller. “I'm Still Here” is told from the point of view of an angel dog, or a dog who has passed, revealing to those who loved him that he's in a safe place, and he's watching over his human family. It's a beautiful portrayal of the tenderness and bond that animals share with each of us. Cathryn has had an incredible career, and is the only woman screenwriter in America who had two feature films in world release in 2019, “A Dog's Way Home,” and “A Dog's Journey,” the sequel to “A Dog's Purpose,” all told from a dog's point of view. Cathryn's writing credits include “South Park,” “Designing Women,” and others. She's performed at Chicago's Second City and appeared both on TV and off-broadway. Well ask her about that, and when her love of animals began. Oh, and we'll talk about her husband too, author Williams Bruce Cameron, whose book, “A Dog's Purpose,” spent 52-weeks on the New York Times bestseller list. As always, our conversations are fun yet educational and informative. Join us as we discuss her book and how it is helping to change the hearts and minds of children and adults alike, about the very controversial topic of laboratory animal testing. My guest is Denise Boehler, who is my hero when it comes to serving the fur baby community. BIO: Do you need help getting a homeless animal's story out there? Would you like to impart the happy ending to your donors, of a successful adoption story for your website? G. Scott Graham is an author, a career coach, and a business coach in Boston, Massachusetts. Scott is driven to help clients follow their “true azimuth,” which is different from “true north.” It means coaching clients to identify the true focus of their life — something that speaks individually to them. It means recognizing the forces that push our lives off course and adjusting to them so you get where you want to go. It means that when you are 90 years old and you look back on your life you have a sense of pride, accomplishment, and meaning — with no regrets.
Full recording of the townhall I hosted with Rep Art Fierro on August 1st. Full disclosure, the microphone we were using was a bit spotty, and some people opted to remain in place and not come up to the mic. Definitely need to invest in a wireless mic for folks to use in the future. You're not getting anything but the townhall this episode (okay a quick 2 minute update on what to expect from the next couple of episodes from the top)My reflections and ideas on moving forward will come in the next episode, along with the council meeting recaps. If you're interested in watching vs listening you can view the townhall livestream on my campaign Instagram page @generaforepdistrict5

Jon taught guitar lessons — including to, once upon a mid/late 90s time, yours truly — while finishing his liberal arts degree. Not long after graduation, his passion for animal rights drew him to leave teaching music for advocacy, and he's worked full-time in the field ever since. In his first 10 years of advocacy work, Jon played guitar and wrote tunes on the side, telling himself one day he'd take music more seriously. Then in 2012, a severe case of Lyme disease landed him in the ICU for over a week. After that reminder of life's finite nature, Jon's priorities shifted. He incorporated playing and writing music into his daily routine, booked time in a studio, and released his first album in 2014. Since then he's toured across the US, released three more albums, and made music a non-negotiable part of life. All while still devoting his 9-to-5 life to improving the treatment of animals. Today, Jon's been kind enough to walk us through the logistics and rewards of balancing a significant creative pursuit with a cause you love. And yes, there are plenty of sacrifices along the way. But in Jon's experience, those concessions are a small price to pay for passion in your work and your art.Resources mentioned“How to be a Musician with a Day Job” and “How to Balance Full-time Work with Creative Projects” by Jeffery SilversteinWhere to find Jon, his music, and his advocacy workJon on BandcampJon on SpotifyJon the Musician on Instagram and TwitterJon the Animal Advocate on TwitterThe Humane LeagueJon's induction into the Animal Rights Hall of Fame Check out more from The Work SeminarVisit theworkseminar.com or find @TheWorkSeminar on social media. Life Lessons from Screen and Stage with today's guest, Iris Almario. Iris Almario has emerged on-screen and beyond as an accomplished Actress, Host, Model, Social Media Influencer and true Animal Advocate. 1:42 So I want to talk today about following your calling because that is what has made me what I am today, whatever that may be. I was driven by this calling and I've had a lot of young men come up to me in recent years, hey, I want to be a seal too. 8:19 Yeah, I would say that nowadays more than ever, the importance of creating your own content getting together with friends like minded people who want to do something and become a little bit more active. 12:23 And and that was kind of like shining a light on the darkness and, and giving people the right to in the power to make content, which is more improve is better for all of us who liked the content. 24:38 Just because I get all these roles, where I have to research things that have nothing to do with me with you know, drugs or you know, the sex traffic's. Just real The weird subjects, but I find it really fascinating. I'm constantly learning. 26:30 I think that's, that's really that's an, that's a wonderful quality to have as an actor is empathy. Because you're not supposed to judge your characters, you're supposed to understand them understand why they think the way they do, why they make the choices that they make. Melissa Bacelar is an accomplished Film Actress, Animal Advocate and Pet Psychic. She is often asked how she made the transition from the cover of Men's Magazines to picking up dog poop. This is just part of her charm. Melissa has always been an animal lover and a psychic fanatic. She never thought she would actually be a pet psychic even though she was told by three different credible psychics from 2008-2009 that she was one and it would play a significant role in her life down the line. This is where her journey begins. In early 2009 she had the wool pulled over her eyes when she was booked on a paranormal radio show as a horror actress. While waiting to go on she heard the host call her a pet psychic. The first thought was to hang up, but she couldn't. She explained to the host that she was not a psychic but the host didn't hear her and immediately had the first caller start asking questions. Melissa thought about how all of her psychic friends explained how they tuned in and she tried to do the same thing. She wasn't sure if it was working, but caller after caller came on and Melissa was extremely accurate in her readings. Clear pictures and images came in from the animal and she knew what they looked like, she felt what they felt and knew what they were thinking. This began her journey into the psychic, paranormal and beyond*** AND NOW ***The ‘X' Zone TV Channel on SimulTV - www.simultv.comThe ‘X' Zone TV Channel Radio Feed (Free - No Subscription Required) - https://www.spreaker.com/show/xztv-the-x-zone-tv-show-audio The ‘X' Chronicles Newspaper - www.xchroniclesnewspaper.com (Free)To contact Rob McConnell - misterx@xzoneradiotv.com

Harvey Brownstone conducts an in-depth interview with Emmy Winning Actress, Author and Animal Advocate, Carolyn HennesyAbout Harvey's guestA Los Angeles native and self proclaimed studio-brat, Carolyn has been in over 100 theatrical productions spanning the LA, regional and international theatre scenes. If you ask her nicely she'll recite the list of her plays for you and then she'll recite it again…backwards. Having trained at American Conservatory Theatre and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London as well as earning a dramatic scholarship to the California State University at Northridge, she has played such distinguished houses as the Mark Taper Forum, Arizona Theatre Company and the Geary Stage. She also studied with the Groundlings in the early ‘90s and became a member of the Sunday Company. From there she moved to the main company at the ACME Comedy Theatre and was a founding member of the all-female improv troupe, “Ovaryaction”. She is the 2001 recipient of the prestigious Natalie Schafer Award for Outstanding Comedic Actress given by the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle and has been featured as an “Actor's Actor” in the industry publication Backstage-West. Among other accolades, the LA Stage Alliance has honored her with an Ovation Award, which she hosted in 2011, and in 2010 she added the words “Emmy nominated” (General Hospital) to her list of achievements. Most recently, Carolyn dazzled as the deliciously vicious “Rosalyn Harris” on Alan Ball's critically acclaimed HBO series TRUE BLOOD. Hennesy joined the cast for the fifth season of the sleek vampires-meet-world saga and fast became a fan favorite. As Rosalyn, the ageless vamp with a Texas twang, Hennesy was at the top of her game, tossing one-liners like firecrackers, occasionally enjoying a juicy stake, and gleefully partaking in old-timey interrogation.Prior to TRUE BLOOD, Hennesy is best known for her memorable work as “Barb Coman” on ABC's COUGAR TOWN and for an Emmy nominated run as “Diane Miller” on ABC's GENERAL HOSPITAL. Kids across America also know her as the hilariously haughty Mrs. Chesterfield on Disney Channel's JESSIE. On the big screen, Hennesy's credits include CLICK starring Adam Sandler, LEGALLY BLONDE 2 with Reese Witherspoon, and TERMINATOR 3 starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.Hennesy's creative endeavors also include a successful career as a writer. She created the wildly popular “Pandora” (Bloomsbury USA) children's book series as well as penned the New York Times Bestseller “The Secret Life of Damian Spinelli” (Hyperion). To see more, click on “Books.”When not on set, Hennesy is privileged to lend her time and talent to a number of causes including caring for our wounded warriors and helping those with debilitating physical issues regain their self-esteem, but chief among all causes is the issue of animal rescue. Now, all of that is well and good, but the big news is that Carolyn has become a flying trapeze artist. No lie. Just look at her hands. If you really want to get her talking, just ask her, “Hey Carolyn, how's that layout coming along?!”For more interviews and podcasts go to: https://www.harveybrownstoneinterviews.com https://carolynhennesy.com/https://www.facebook.com/pages/Carolyn-Hennesy-Fan-Page/219399211420702https://twitter.com/carolynhennesy#carolynhennesy #harveybrownstoneinterviews
Connecting with animals and animal readings, with guest Amanda De Warren “They (animals) are incredibly intelligent, they just try to make our lives better.” ----more---- Today's show was sponsored by The Rah Rah Spirit Team Building a business can be overwhelming but it doesn't have to be. Through on-going training, online workshops and monthly guest experts, the Spirit Team membership is a supportive community where entrepreneurs encourage and support each other while learning and becoming the best they can be. Check it out here: https://rahrahconsulting.com/spirit-team/ Meet Amanda Introducing AMANDA DE WARREN – one of Australia's foremost PSYCHIC MEDIUMS, leading ANIMAL COMMUNICATOR, and writer of the weekly column, “The Animal Whisperer”, in the Australian WOMAN'S DAY magazine nearly six years and counting. Amanda's friendly and natural personality and her ability to relate to people from all walks of life make her a very appealing guest on TV and RADIO shows. A media professional, she intrigues viewers and listeners, even if they're skeptics. And they won't be skeptics for long! Amanda makes PSYCHIC CONNECTIONS to both PEOPLE and ANIMALS that have passed over, and is also one of the few people who can also communicate with ANIMALS that are ALIVE. It's her amazingly accurate readings of readers' animals in her Animal Whisperer column that she's become known and loved for to thousands of readers. She identifies BEHAVIOURAL AND HEALTH ISSUES and gives advice about how to improve people's RELATIONSHIPS with their PETS. What makes Amanda's insights all the more amazing is that she does most of her readings over the PHONE – distance is no barrier, and she doesn't even need to see a photo of the animal. Amanda also requests that she be given NO PRIOR INFORMATION about the person or animal. Amanda is a fierce ANIMAL ADVOCATE and has POACHERS and HUNTERS in her sights. It's her goal in 2020 to take on these lowlifes who commit atrocities on animals, including endangered species, and to help raise awareness and make a difference. She's also planning a trip to visit the endangered orang-utans of Borneo. She wants to be the voice for all animals. You don't want to mess with her! Amanda was recently a big hit on Network 10's Trial By Kyle, helping out with an estranged couple's custody battle over who should have their dog. Amanda gave her advice after hearing straight from the pooch's own thoughts! She's also appeared on TV SHOWS such as The Project, Mornings With Kerri-Anne Kennerley, Today Tonight and A Current Affair, doing live psychic readings of both people and animals. She's featured in numerous MAGAZINES and NEWSPAPER articles including a two-page spread in Queensland's Sunday Mail. She also loves to go on RADIO and has twice shared the airwaves with Jacki O and Kyle, as well as Rove McManus. Recently, Amanda has absolutely nailed her psychic animal communications as a popular guest on 2DayFM with Grant Denyer, Ed Kavalee and Ash London. After her astonishing debut, she was immediately asked back. Amanda's fascinating life story is told in her popular AUTOBIOGRAPHY, Amanda De Warren: My Journey Behind Blue Eyes, and she's currently working on three new books. She now has over 10,000 Facebook followers who she's entertained with stories about her very naughty and huge dog Rommy, and ginger tabby, Russell, who caused havoc together in her home. Sadly, Rommy passed away in early 2020 but no doubt Amanda will eventually welcome another special canine companion into her life. Amanda first realised she had a special connection to animals while working with the legendary ‘crocodile hunter' STEVE IRWIN and his wife Terri at the Queensland Reptile Park, before it became Australia Zoo. Steve trained her and from there it all took off. Another area Amanda is having great success with recently is her psychic HEALING. Clients have reported stunning results (for themselves or their pets), with improvements in health and long-term pain greatly lessening after some sessions with Amanda. Once again, this is usually done by phone. See your ratings shoot up by having AMANDA DE WARREN doing live psychic readings on your show.
