Mustafa was born and raised in the coastal city of Karachi, Pakistan. He has a Master's and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. His training has focused on Robotics for STEM education, and Robotics in Healthcare. Mustafa has been involved in various STEM education activities over the last 15 years. When he was in high school, he went through a little known STEM education program. He had some amazing mentors there. That is one of the many sparks that drive him to this day. His robot, NONI is a free Robot Simulator that teaches logical thinking and planning skills, along with a little bit of math and a little bit of art. Children learn by making a robot do different activities, such as drive through mazes, or paint. The best part is, the activities have been designed such that children spend most of their time AWAY from the computer screen. Children plan each activity with a set of action cards and an activity mat. Once the plan is laid out, they can then enter the instructions on the NONI Robot Simulator to see the robot in action. Sconing Around got started in the Loveworks Leadership Business Boot Up program at Terra Verde Discovery School located in Norman, OK. This group of students is made up of 3 8th grade students Abriana, Adwen, and Hana who are whipping up scones and hot chocolate that will delight your senses! Key Takeaways: -Trial and error -Keep moving forward/Get back on the horse -Be who you are -Listen listen listen to your teammates -Find joy in what you do For more, visit our show notes at https://loveworksleadership.blog/2022/01/12/biz-boot-up-edition-ep-34-getting-back-on-the-horse-with-mustafa-ghazi-and-sconing-around/
