The Enter the Dojo is about all things fighting related. This includes fighting games and combat sports.
Back looking pretty good. Glad to see this young man back in the winners circle.
Martial arts has been a central part of my life. But there are something that I truly hate.
Today I just wanna show some love to black figures that inspire.
So many things in this world can come in and make us loose site of what the end goal is.
The game really has changed. Talking to many OG fighters a lot of people are enjoying the current style of TKD.
Life has always been something that can change at an instant. Do you feel like you are stuck on one particular path in like?
What is something that inspires you? Do you inspire others?
In my life I have been blessed with many great mentors. I think that it is pivotal to the growth of individuals to have those people to inspire you. Always keep in contact with those people and make sure that knows how much they mean to you.
What is your gift? Do you feel like you have found it ?
I had a different podcast planned for today. But then I realized it was the week of the late great Kobe Bryant’s passing. Realizing this I wanted to do a episode where I talked about what he meant to me as a fan. Also to just reinforce what he represented and still represents when it comes to working hard and fighting for your dreams.
At times having no knowledge is better then having only a small amount of knowledge. It is easier to learn when you know that you dont know compared to a person who thinks that know something they don’t.
In order to be successful in martial arts you need to have an open mind. People will be so tired to there style and mindset that they will literally say the most ignorant things and not ever blink. Please keep an open mind when learning and studying the arts or you could end up seriously lacking knowledge.
Posted this later then expected but I will be doing more fighter breakdowns and talks.
Story Time!!!! Only thing I will say is please dont be like the people at the bar. Always call someone when you think there is a real emergency.
Everyone even the most successful people will have days that are difficult. You have to find the positives our of them and fight to keep going.
It is time for some new fights and to continue the amazing shows that the UFC has been able to put on recently.
How many styles have you learned? Me I’ve learned about 5 that I have a high level of proficiency in. However I have been doing martial arts for 20+ years. If you are new to martial arts I recommend committing to one style for at least a 1-5 years depending on the style before you start learning other styles.
Local dancer Beaast Moode came on the show to talk about her dreams. First dream chasers segment interview starting 2021. This is a great way to start off right on a Monday.
Is this a new year a new you? Are you just a better a version of what you built last year? I think being a better version is more important. Stop starting over go for what you are now and don’t let it pass you by.
This year has been full of ups and downs. I thinks its crazy how much things have gone on this year. lets chat about it. Let’s have a better 2021.
Don’t ever let your ideas die. If you have something you want go for it. No matter how big you think it is go for it. Dream big and then dream even bigger.
Social media is a powerful tool but it can also be a big problem. Many people use this platform to be extremely toxic and say very harsh things. The internet has made some very mean people feel safe. Limit your time on social media and guard your energy.
Stop letting opportunities pass you by. Don’t be the person saying what they should have done be the one who say what they did.
Tony Ferguson has to be the toughest SOB in the world. This man literally would have let his arm break before he tapped. As cool as that sounds I want my young fighters to know that is not the recipe for a long career or for a good life after fighting. Sometimes you need to live to fight another day.
Tournaments in the fgc have become a more and more debated topic in the FGC. Some want invitationals and others want to keep the grass roots. What do you think the best tournament style is?
With as amazing as this year has been the ufc has decided to make some cuts to the roster. It’s really shocking but understandable with the way the world is now. First big cut was Yoel who do you think will be next?
The fight game is an ugly thing. Nate Robinson definitely found that out the hard way. But I must show respect to any who has the heart to step in the ring against someone. I think it suck how people are so quick to make fun of the guy that loses a fight but would never have the courage to step in the ring. Have you ever had a full contact fight in the streets or professionally?
We must always have a diverse skill set. I dont think a person should ever be boxed in to only being good at me thing. It’s is blessing to have skills that can help you in life.
On this day I am encouraging people to keep fighting the good fight. Don’t let any small setback stop you from getting to the goals that you have for yourself. Dream bigger then you ever dreamed before.
This is just a big shout out to all my fellow nerds in the world. To all my anime and cosplay fans in the world.
Today we need to fight for the things we want. Fight today for your tomorrow.
Coming back to the subject of KickBoxing I always wondered if there was a way to create a rule set that took every style of martial arts. Clearly some stuff cant be in there but I wish there could be a kickboxing organization like the ufc where the rules are unified and all styles feel comfortable to go into. Do you think its possible?
