She then moved on to the EPA, where she was appointed Regional Administrator by President Obama. Since then, she has become a senior advisor at Mom's Clean Air Force and is currently serving as an environmental justice liaison for the Environmental Defense Fund. She's been awarded a number of accolades and titles, one of our favorites being Essence Magazine's “one of the most remarkable women in the world,” which is the title we would give her if we could choose!
