So let's dive into this month's episode and say a proper HELLO to 2022 together

Hi lovely, After a 2 month break, we are back on the podcast.. and it feels so good! How are you doing and how have the past 3 months been for you? In this episode, we invite you to join us for a quarterly check-in so that we can reflect on it together
Hi lovely, This will be our last episode until after the summer! We'll be back in September but we'll be doing things a little differently. Or rather, we're going full circle and returning to how we used to do the Project Love podcasts when we began seven years ago! As of September we'll be recording a podcast episode for you once a month, just the two of us. We are closing the chapter on weekly episodes and inviting guests onto the podcast. Not because we haven't loved it - it has truly been life changing (as we share in today's episode) - but because we are both working on new and exciting projects - online courses, podcasts and another journal (watch this space) - and we needed to create space to focus on these new adventures, so that we don't burn out in the process. Our time is finite. We can do it all, but sometimes we have to change how we do it so we can fit everything in and still thrive ;) And so in today's episode we look back on seven years of Project Love podcast episodes so far and some of our favourite episodes where guests have joined us to dive deep into fascinating conversations about life and love and how the power of some of these conversations has truly shaped the course of our lives. And we'll also be sharing more about the exciting new projects we're both up to, this year and next. And while we're away for the summer, you have over 105 hours of Project Love podcasts that you can listen to and can browse by topic over on the Project Love website. And we'd love for you to stay in touch with us as we carry on with our journeys... Stay in touch with Vicki! To stay in touch with Vicki, be first to hear about her online course and enjoy her weekly love letter, join her newsletter over at https://vickipavitt.com/sundaylove Stay in touch with Selina! To stay in touch with Selina, join her if you haven't already on her weekly mini-podcast - the Monday Crew - you can join for free over at https://www.selinabarker.com/themondaycrew (and you'll get her Weekly Life Design Check-in tool the moment you sign up!) Lots and lots of love and have a great summer! X Selina & Vicki
Hello lovely, It's Vicki here, with a gorgeous podcast episode for you! I had the privilege of sitting down with a fellow lover of love, Natasha Lunn, to talk about her new book Conversations on Love (which is INCREDIBLE!) I love every single second of reading it. No exaggeration! Each page offers a deeper understanding of what it means to love and be loved and what it means to live a life of meaning. I felt so in love reading it, which Natasha tells me was one of her aims with the book. The book features interviews with the likes of Alain De Botton, Phillipa Perry, Esther Perel, Candice Carty Williams, Poorna Bell, Dolly Alderton, Roxane Gay, Diana Evans and many many more. It's centered around three main questions (which we talk all about in the episode): How do we find love? How do we sustain it? And how do we survive when we lose it? I first met Natasha back in 2018 and I learn something new about love every time I talk to her. She speaks about love with such reverence and wisdom. Speaking with her is always SUCH a treat. And I just know you're going to love this episode ❤️❤️❤️ As well as being a writer and author, Natasha is also the features director at Red magazine. Conversations on Love is available now (it actually just came out today!!!) and you can grab your copy here. I know I'm going to be buying it for so many friends this Summer! I love love loved this conversation with Natasha and I can't wait for you to listen to it. To find out more about Natasha, head over here and she is on Instagram here. As always, if you loved this episode, please do let us know by leaving a 5 star rating wherever you listen to your podcasts. So much love, Vicki x
It's Selina here and this week I have a truly special episode. Because this week you hear me diving deep into conversation with one of Vicki and my greatest friends, Bexy Cameron - a writer, creative director and film-maker who was raised in a notorious sex cult, escaped in her teens and then returned to cults as an adult to understand what leads people, like her parents, to join them in the first place. Her memoir, 'Cult Following', is out TODAY. It has been celebrated by The Guardian and The Times, who described it as ‘defiantly NOT a misery memoir' and it is currently being turned into a film by Dakota Johnson. So in this special episode you'll hear Bexy and me diving deep into conversation about: - Some of the pivotal moments in her life that lead her to where she is today. - An extraordinary and magical coincidence that profoundly shaped her life. - What has helped her rise up out of such a dark childhood and create such a truly happy life. - And what it was like finding her voice so that she could tell her story. I hope you enjoy this moving episode and Bexy's story. And if you want to read Bexy's book, you can order it here. Lots of love, Selina
Hi lovely, Well here we are, at the end of another quarter of 2021! How have the last 3 months been for you? We don't know about you but we both felt like we really needed a check-in, to take stock and reflect on how we're feeling and how the last few months have been and so this quarterly check-in was just the tonic! In this week's episode, we invite you to do your quarterly check-in with us and to take a moment to pause and reflect on how you're feeling and what you've been experiencing over these past few months. Grab your Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021 journal if you have one and fill in the quarterly check-in section. And feel free to share the journal questions with a friend and do your check-in together or as a group - it's always so nourishing to talk through your answers with a trusted friend. Hi lovely, It's Vicki here with a brand new podcast episode for you
Hi lovely, It's Selina here this week with a deep, inspiring and juicy conversation for you all about finding your voice, with the queen of heart-felt expression, Nicola Rae Wickham.I've known Nicola for a number of years now and every time I sit down in a conversation with her, whether it is just between us or recording a podcast episode to share, she always brings a depth, warmth, wisdom and power to it that leaves me inspired and moved and this week's conversation has to have been the most powerful to date. In case you don't know Nicola, she is an award-winning coach and mentor, founder of ‘A Life More Inspired' and host of the ‘Dream and Do' podcast. In her own words she is ‘on a mission to help big-hearted (deep thinking and big feeling) creatives find, use and amplify their voice and make a real WHOLEHEARTED and positive impact in the world.'And wow, does she lead by example. Over the past 18 months I have witnessed Nicola step into her power in a whole new way, find her voice and use it to make a positive impact both in her business, her own life and the world around her.In this episode we talk about: Finding her voice in business and how she learnt to attract her ideal clients Finding her voice and speaking her truth as a black woman during Black Lives Matter and ever since The healing power of speaking your truth The importance of being discerning around WHO your share your truth with Why people-pleasers in particular struggle with finding their voice Tips on how to start practicing speaking your own truth We also used the conversation as a chance to reflect together on each of our healing around racism over the past year, the work we have both done with Nova Reid to help us with that healing and what we are each committing to doing moving forward to carry on with that healing. I am so looking forward to you hearing this conversation. If you enjoy it, please leave a 5 star review for us. It makes such a difference. If you're going through change or growth in your life at the moment (or plan to soon), then today's episode is for you. While we love to encourage people to go after their dreams and create the lives, careers and relationships they love, it's important to know what to expect on that journey of change. Because it is a rollercoaster ride and noone is immune to the vulnerability hangovers, shitty committee attacks and feelings of overwhelm and loneliness. And THAT is what we are discussing this week as we share how recent experiences of change and growth in our own lives reminded us of just how discombobulating it can all be, but also how valuable it is to know what to expect on the change journey and how to navigate the emotional rollercoaster that is an unavoidable part of it. In it we mention Donna Lancaster's new programme: Deepening into Life - which Selina has just started and cannot recommend more (she's not an affiliate, she just LOVES it). >> Find out how to join yourself here: http://deepeningintolife.com/And Selina's Monday Crew mini-podcast which goes out every Monday when you join her Monday Crew. >> Sign up (for free!) here: https://www.selinabarker.com/themondaycrewLots of love to you, x Selina & Vicki

Hi lovely,It’s Selina here this week with a gorgeous and soothing conversation that is guaranteed to have you breathing a sigh of relief and calm, because I got to dive deep into conversation with the queen of self-care, Suzy Reading.Suzy is a mother of two, an author, Chartered Psychologist and Coach. She specialises in self-care, helping people manage their stress, emotions, and energetic bank balance. I have always loved her first book ‘The Self-Care Revolution’ and now she has written another, equally powerful book: ‘Self-Care for Tough Times’. Reading it was like receiving a warm and soothing hug and talking with Suzy filled me with so much love and comfort and I hope hearing the conversation will do the same for you. In this episode we talk about: Why so many of us can find ourselves resisting self-care (and what to do about it) Why parents, particularly mothers, feel guilt around needing time to themselves away from the kids What self-care looks like during tough times (and why it can be different to self-care during normal times) Our innate capacity to self soothe and heal when we go through tough times Why we are both head over heals in love with managing your energy The importance of going gently and tenderly with ourselves as we come out of lockdown As always, if you loved this episode, please do let us know by leaving a 5 star rating wherever you listen to your podcasts. Hi lovely, We are back from our quarterly podcast break with a brand new episode and a brand new season of episodes for you
Hi lovely,It is almost here!!!
Hello lovely,Well here we are, at the end of the first quarter of 2021 (already!). It’s been 12 months now since the first lockdown here in the UK and we are very much looking forward to stepping into a new quarter and starting a new chapter in the year. As we step into spring, it has felt incredibly cathartic to hit pause and take a moment to sit back, take stock and reflect on how the last 3 months have been for us. Join us for this week’s episode, as we talk about our commitments, our happiest moments, our most challenging moments (and everything in between!).Grab your Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021 journal if you have one or simply answer the questions as we go through them. And if you haven’t yet got your copy of the Goodbye, Hello journal then it’s not too late! You can grab your copy here.As always, we find these quarterly reflections to be so nourishing and we hope you do too
Hi lovely,Here at Project Love, we love to share and celebrate real love stories. We love to go beneath the surface and have deep and meaningful conversations with people about their relationships, looking at things like; how they support each other to grow, how they navigate challenges, how they make love last and the lessons they’re learning along the way. It’s in hearing people’s real love stories, that we can learn so much about love and what it takes for a relationship to thrive. And this week’s episode is one of those episodes! It’s a real love story with the wonderful Lisa Pascoe, who reflects on her beautiful love story with her wife Bekky. What I found so inspiring about Lisa and Bekky’s love story is their daily commitment to each other. In Lisa’s words, “everyday we recommit to the relationship we’re in, by choosing to be in that relationship”. How beautiful is that? Lisa is an intuitive life coach and she brings invaluable advice and wisdom on life and love to this episode. She is all about being who you are and not who the world tells you to be. This message is at the heart of her podcast, Bravehearts Rising. And it’s really at the heart of this episode too. In the episode, Lisa shares her experience of coming out, back in the 90’s when people only talked about the first three letters of LGBTQ+ and her journey to self acceptance. In her work, Lisa supports empaths, highly sensitive women and LGBTQ+ folks to slow down, hit the reset button and have a kinder, gentler relationship with themselves. She does this through 1:1 coaching (both online and in nature), wellbeing workshops and nourishing circles. To find out more about Lisa and her wonderful work, head here www.lisapascoe.com (she’s also on Instagram here).I loved recording this episode with Lisa.I hope you enjoy it!Love, Vicki x PS here is the Brene Brown podcast episode we mentioned, it was actually Brene on Tim Ferris’s podcast (she also has a brilliant podcast called Unlocking Us)
Hi lovely, It’s Selina here and this week I have an episode that I guarantee will put a grin on your face and a fire in your belly. I was buzzing with inspiration and love after this conversation. I interviewed the incredible Brita Fernandez Schmidt about her new book ‘Fears to Fierce’. If you are a woman, or identify as a woman, then I cannot recommend this book more. It is a rallying call for all womxn to rise up, step into their power and become the leader in their own lives and the world around them. Brita herself is an incredibly inspiring woman, so full of love, wisdom and fierce beautiful power. She is Executive Director of Women for Women International and for 25 years has been championing women’s rights across the world. She is Chair of a network Gender Action for Peace and Security. She frequently writes and publicly speaks about the challenges women face all over the world, particularly in the context of poverty and conflict. Brita also works as a coach to support women to find their fierce. She is a living legend. Reading Brita’s book was a truly transformative experience for me and so was connecting with Brita and having this conversation with her. I can’t wait for you to listen to it! And if you want to buy the book, you can get Fears to Fierce at all good book shops, on and offline. Order your copy here: https://www.britafs.com/fears-to-fierce And if you want to find out more about Brita, the work that she does, including her 1:1 coaching programmes, visit https://www.britafs.com/ and follow her on instagram at @britafs. And if you love this episode please do leave us a review over on Apple podcasts or wherever you review your podcasts. X Selina
Hi lovely, We are coming to the end of 28 Days of Love, our self love challenge that we have been running since Valentine’s Day. And in this week’s episode, we talk about what we have each learnt from doing this self love challenge, particularly during lockdown and after almost a year of living in a global pandemic. If you have been doing 28 Days of Love with us (yayyy!) then we would love to hear how it’s been for YOU and what lessons you are taking away from it. And if you would like to start the challenge then you can do it anytime - simply head over here (https://loveprojectlove.com/28daysoflove) and download your free PDF guide to getting started (plus you’ll also find a big list of lockdown-friendly ideas to get you started on your self love journey). It’s a great one to do with friends! Whether you are new to self love or you are wanting to deepen your self love practice, we hope these lessons and insights will inspire you on your own self love journey
Hi lovely, I have a gorgeous episode for you this week! I got to interview my dear, wonderful friend Eve Lewis on all things meditation and mindfulness. Eve is a mindfulness and meditation teacher and she is the director of Meditation at Headspace (https://www.headspace.com/) . I have a real soft spot for Headspace, it is the app that taught me how to meditate, around 10 years ago. It’s one of my favourite apps and a firm staple in my self love toolkit
Hi lovely, It’s Selina here today, bringing to you what I feel is such a powerful and important conversation about a topic that many of us (myself included) really don’t talk about enough. And we need to. In this episode I had the wonderful opportunity to talk to Anna Lyons and Louise Winter, authors of ‘We All Know How This Ends - Lessons about Life and Living from Working with Death and Dying’. Anna is an end-of-life doula and Louise is a progressive funeral director and together they have written an incredible, practical guide to navigating death, dying, grieving, losing ones we love and supporting those that have lost a loved one. They teach us how and why we all need to think about death in a radically different way and why it is important for us all to talk more about it more. And so that is what we did in this episode. We talked about death and dying. From arranging funerals and the creative ways you can do it, to end-of-life care and how wonderful hospices in the UK are, to the best way to support someone when they are grieving the loss of a loved one, to the importance of us all getting more used to death by talking about it. I cannot recommend their book more. I was hooked from the moment I started it. It really is one I think we should all read. You can pre-order it here. (https://www.lifedeathwhatever.com/the-book) Find out more about the work that Anna and Louise do here: https://www.lifedeathwhatever.com/ And follow them on instagram here @lifedeathwhat (https://www.instagram.com/lifedeathwhat/) Hope you enjoy this episode and find it as fascinating and valuable as I did. Lots of love, Selina x
Hello lovely! If you’ve been following us for a while then you’ll know that we like to challenge the modern day narrative that love is something that comes from that one special romantic partner in life. This is one of the reasons why we like to hijack Valentine’s Day and use it to celebrate love in all its forms. And this year is no exception! On Sunday we kicked off the start of our self-love challenge, 28 Days of Love and if you’re not already taking part, we’d love to invite you. This is our sixth year running it and it is always such a gorgeous four week journey, but this year, it feels like we all need it more than any other (right?!). If you’re worn out from global pandemics, lockdown, homeschooling, working from home, not going on holiday for over a year...then self-love is the balm that will help you recover, reclaim your energy and navigate the Coronacoaster. If you’d like to join us then head over here for all of the details (https://loveprojectlove.com/28daysoflove) (it’s totally free!) And to get you in the mood we have pulled out one of our favourite podcast episodes from the archives: LOVE: it’s not just for Valentine’s, recorded two years ago at Liberty London. It is one of our favourite podcast episodes and so this week we are bringing it back from the archives! In this episode we talk about: Why we are so passionate about busting the modern day myth that love is something that comes from that one special romantic partner in life The impact that belief has had on so many of our lives and our relationships. How learning to love yourself is a skill that we can all get good at (and how it helps us to flourish as individuals and in our relationships) The different ways you can weave self-love into your day to day life Why so many of us resist self-love (and what to do about that) And how, when you start to tune into that inner loving voice your life will start to transform from the inside out We are sending you the biggest cuddle and we hope to see you over on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/loveprojectlove/?hl=en) for 28 days of love. We hope you enjoy the episode
Hi lovely, Vicki here - I hope this email finds you safe and well ❤️ In today’s episode, I answer some of your questions on dating and relationships (thank you for sending those in!) Really loved creating this episode for you. There were lots of questions relating to attachment theory (which is great as it is my favorite topic to talk about!). Specific questions that I answered in the episode: Is it possible for an anxious and an avoidant person to develop a secure and loving relationship? How do you deal with an avoidantly attached partner who isn't always sure they want to repair their attachment issues? How do I start calling in a securely attached partner rather than the avoidant ones I usually find myself drawn to? My partner and I are exclusive but he said he’s not ready to call me his girlfriend yet. Is this a red flag? I’m just about to move in with my partner. What are your tips for starting the next chapter of our lives in lockdown? How do I find the balance in my relationship, so I don’t lose myself? This is the gorgeous TED talk that I mentioned - The person you really need to marry | Tracy McMillan. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3fIZuW9P_M) Here is the wonderful book on Attachment theory that I mentioned - Attached by Dr Amir Levine and Rachel Heller. (https://uk.bookshop.org/books/attached-are-you-anxious-avoidant-or-secure-how-the-science-of-adult-attachment-can-help-you-find-and-keep-love/9781529032178) Ooh and I wanted to also share this brilliant video from The School of Life on ‘How to Cope With an Avoidant Partner. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2zkUSC-Zm4) And lastly, how would you like to receive a (free) weekly love letter from me on topics like the ones explored in today’s episode? Every Sunday, I am talking about topics like; dating for your attachment style, compatibility, the appeal of the unavailable ones, how to spot the red flags of relationship availability and lots more! If you’d like to receive my love letters
Hi lovely, It’s Selina here
Hi lovely, How are you doing this week? Here in the UK things have not been easy. A lot of people are really struggling with this latest lockdown, including us! So if you’re one of those people, then know that you are not alone. This is tough and while resilience, resourcefulness and inner strength will help us get through this, sometimes you have to stop being the strong, resilient one. If you tend to be the one that is often there for others, if you identify with being a good coper or pride yourself on being strong in times of struggle, then sometimes you need to drop all that and let yourself feel all the feelings, without judgement. And NO telling yourself that you shouldn’t be feeling that way because other people have it much worse than you. Your feelings need to be acknowledged and felt. Suppressing them and brushing under the carpet DOES NOT WORK. In fact I have a whole section on that in my new book Burnt Out (https://www.theburntoutbook.com/) and I share how one tool, in particular, in there has really been helping me over the past few weeks. And talking of my book!...I have a VERY exciting announcement! The wonderful team at Octopus feel that the world needs ‘Burnt Out’ NOW and so rather than making you all wait until 15th April when the paperback book comes out, they have released the ebook version of it TODAY!!!! So if you’re an ebook lover (or even if you’re never tried an ebook before) you can get ‘Burnt Out’ this minute for just £4.99! The eBooks are available through Amazon, Apple, Google & Kobo, short links below: Amazon: https://amzn.to/2KyNoRW Google: http://bit.ly/3nVs7iH Kobo: http://bit.ly/39OLa9o If, like me, you’ve never read an ebook before, you can easily download an ebook reader for free on your laptop, tablet or smartphone. I’d never read an ebook before and am now a total convert! And of course if you do buy Burnt Out as an ebook while you wait for the paperback, then it would make my year if you would leave a review. Personally the section in the book on managing your Emotional Energy has really been helping me get through these past few weeks and that is where you will find the ‘Emotional Check-in’ tool that I talk about in today’s episode. Let me know if you use it! Lots of love, Selina x
Hi lovely, I have a fascinating episode for you today! I got to speak to Margee Kerr and Linda Rodriguez McRobbie about their new book, ‘OUCH!: Why Pain Hurts, and Why it Doesn’t Have To’. In this episode, we talk about: Why pain isn’t all bad and how we can develop a healthy relationship with it Resilience as a skill - something we can practice and cultivate over time Why we need to come up with a bigger vocabulary for pain (because one word is used to describe so much!) Heartbreak and why it hurts so much How we can support our loved ones when they are in pain And so much more! I loved this conversation with Margee and Linda. Really hope you enjoy it too! Order your copy of ‘OUCH!: Why Pain Hurts, and Why it Doesn’t Have To’ for the UK (https://www.bloomsbury.com/uk/ouch-9781472965271/) , Aus (https://www.bloomsbury.com/au/ouch-9781472965257/) and US (https://www.bloomsbury.com/us/ouch-9781472965257/) . In this mini-series, we’re going to be taking you through our 5 simple and powerful steps that will help you to design a life you love in 2021 (even in a global pandemic!). In this first episode, we’ll be sharing the first practical tool to designing a life you love - to pause and reflect on your journey so far. We loved creating this series for you, we hope you love it! Hi lovely, We’re almost there! Almost at the end of 2020...phewf. It has been a tough year, there is no denying it. But it’s so important that rather than just writing it off altogether, we do take a moment to reflect and take a closer look at the year we’ve been through and in particular what we did manage to make happen in our lives despite it all. You have. You have had ideas and dreams that have come to life. There are things you wrote into your Goodbye 2019, Hello 2020 at the start of the year that are now in existence in your life today. You did that. And so, before we all close our Goodbye 2019, Hello 2020 journals for good, we have a bonus exercise for you: A Final Reflection, where you take a look back at what you wrote in your journal a year ago and see which of those dreams and ideas that were first written into the pages of your journal, did in fact become a reality. We want you all to see that even during a global pandemic, you did still bring some of your dreams and ideas to life. You might even find that there are some things you wrote down that you completely forgot about, but that came true anyway...THAT is the magic of writing down your dreams and desires. They can take seed and grow, even without you focusing on them consciously. So let’s celebrate that! Get your Goodbye 2019, Hello 2020 journal and join us in this week’s episode (our final episode of the year!) as we talk you through the exercise and share our own answers and lessons learnt as we did ours. You can get a PDF of the exercise by signing up over here (https://www.thegoodbyehellojournal.com/finalreflection) . And listen to the podcast here Next week we’ll be running a 5 day mini series on Design A Life You Love in 2021 and then we will be back with you at the start of January to go through our Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021 journals together. Find out where to order your Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021 journal from here (https://www.thegoodbyehellojournal.com/shop) ! And in the meantime, we’ll be over on instagram @loveprojectlove (https://www.instagram.com/loveprojectlove/?hl=en) sharing all the different places people are doing their Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021 journal this year - please share a photo if you’re on IG or send it to us via email - we LOVE getting shots of where people are doing their journals! Lots of love, Selina & Vicki xxx
Hi lovely, We are back! After our quarterly monthly break from recording and we are jumping back behind the mics with a special relationship episode. We got together with the playful power couple: Madeline (https://www.madelinemcqueen.com/) and David McQueen (https://www.davidmcqueen.co.uk/) to talk about how they have made love last (while having two children and running a business together) for thirty two years. I’ve known Madeline and David for over ten years and they offered me invaluable guidance and advice on love and relationships in the years when I was dating. They have always been intentionally open about talking about their relationship and sharing about the ups and downs, warts and all, of being in a long term relationship. They believe passionately that friendship in your relationship is key and that every relationship requires work to help it to thrive. They are also both coaches and so they bring a level of insight, self-awareness and a no-nonsense practical attitude to their relationship which you don’t often find in other couples. They have so many pearls of wisdom to offer on how to make love last and so in this episode Vicki and I got to ask them about how they have made their love last for over thirty years and what advice they would give to others about how to cultivate a happy and healthy relationship. As ever, when I speak to Madeline and David, I came away with so many gems and aha moments (and was squirming in my seat on a number of occasions too, as you’ll hear!). So I hope you find some valuable gems in this too. If you enjoy this episode please leave us some of those shiny 5 STARS on your podcast channel - every review makes such a difference (and it makes our day)! Lots of love, x Selina
Hey there, it’s Selina here this week and I cannot wait for you to tune-in to this week’s episode. Because on the pod this week is none other than the wonderful Emma Gannon (https://www.emmagannon.co.uk/) . I got to hang out with her on Monday to talk about her brand new book Sabotage: how to silence your inner critic and get out of your own way (https://www.emmagannon.co.uk/sunday-times-bestselling-author) which is out TODAY! It is such a brilliant book and considering I talk a lot about the topic of ways that we hold ourselves back in life and how to overcome those inner blocks, this book had a surprisingly powerful impact on me. It really did help me to get out of my own way and commit to my dreams with more power than ever before. I can’t recommend it more! And if you haven’t heard of Emma Gannon (https://www.emmagannon.co.uk/) before (although I suspect you will have) then you are in for a treat. Emma is a best-selling author (https://www.emmagannon.co.uk/sunday-times-bestselling-author) , blogger (https://www.emmagannon.co.uk/blogger) , speaker (https://www.emmagannon.co.uk/speaker) and award-winning podcaster (https://www.emmagannon.co.uk/award-winning-podcaster) . Her book The Multi-Hyphen Method (https://www.hive.co.uk/Product/Emma-Gannon/The-Multi-Hyphen-Method--The-Sunday-Times-business-bestseller/23289114) is one I recommend to anyone who loves the idea of creating their own career, her debut novel ‘Olive’ (https://www.hive.co.uk/Product/Emma-Gannon/Olive/24224499) that came out this summer brings an incredibly important topic to the table - one of choosing to be child-free and her podcast Ctrl Alt Delete (https://www.emmagannon.co.uk/award-winning-podcaster) is the number one career podcast in the UK with the most incredible line up of guests ever. The best way to get more of Emma is through her newsletter ‘The Hyphen’ (https://www.emmagannon.co.uk/newsletter-publisher) - my favourite newsletter out there, subscribe to her podcast Ctrl Alt Delete (https://www.emmagannon.co.uk/award-winning-podcaster) and of course buy Sabotage (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sabotage-Silence-Your-Inner-Critic/dp/1529340012/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=sabotage&qid=1589463553&s=books&sr=1-1) , out today! And now tune-in to this week’s podcast episode as Emma and I dive deep into the topic of sabotage! X Selina
Hi lovely, I have such a nourishing conversation for you today. I spoke with Tosh Brittan (https://toshbrittan.com/) , a divorce life coach and the founder of Divorce Goddess, about what it means to have a mindful divorce Tosh has helped over 1,000 people from all around the world with her coaching, online courses and private group. She has been featured in the likes of The Sunday Times, Weekend FT, BBC, ITV and Sky and is co-author of the bestselling books ‘Mindfulness Through Challenging Times’ and ‘Ceremonies - The Art of Ritual Living’. In this episode, we talk about the concept of divorce wellbeing that is central to Tosh’s work and how we can move through a divorce, separation or a break up with mindfulness, compassion and self-kindness. Plus how we can support our friends on this journey too. If you are navigating a break up, a separation or divorce right now then please know that you are not alone and I really hope that you feel supported and held as you listen to this episode. So much love, V xx
Hi lovely, In this week’s episode we are talking about looking at exercise in a whole new way! If you’ve listened to previous podcasts, then you’ll know that both of us have documented our (at times) huge resistance to exercise. In fact, if you told us a year ago that we would be doing a podcast episode on this, we wouldn’t have believed you! In this week’s episode, we talk about how we have worked through our own resistance to exercise (and how you can do it too!), the many ways to get your body moving (including the activities and practices that work for us), tips on how to find what works for you. Plus so much more. We had so much fun recording this episode - we hope you enjoy it! We’d love to hear what resonated with you and where you are on your own exercise journey - simply reply to this email or send us a DM over on Instagram @loveprojectlove (https://www.instagram.com/loveprojectlove/) . Hi lovely, It’s Selina here this week, flying solo for the first time since before lockdown with our first guest on the show since March. And wow, what a guest. I had the pleasure and joy of getting deep into conversation with Nehanda Truscott Reid and it ended up being a truly transformative conversation for me and I have a feeling it could be for a lot of other people too, whether you are a mother, are thinking of becoming a mother or simply interested in the motherhood journey. Nehanda is a mother of two, Holistic Wellness Coach and founder of The Soul Mama Journey where she supports women through the sacred transition of motherhood from pre conception onwards. Nehanda believes motherhood holds the potential to be a gateway of our deepest healing and transformation and is passionate about helping more women navigate this path consciously and spiritually. And I will be honest, I’ve never really got into the whole ‘motherhood is sacred’ thing. In fact I’ve struggled a little with the identity of motherhood (as we unpack in this episode). But having devoured the episodes of Nehanda’s own podcast - the Soul Mama Podcast (which I cannot recommend more) I felt so inspired to explore motherhood in a new way with Nehanda and wanted to bring you guys along on the journey with me. And wow am I glad I did. This conversation was SO powerful for me. It really shifted something within me. I’ve been experiencing a whole new level of joy and connection to my son and within my role as a mother ever since. And so I cannot wait for you to listen to this too. Spread this among the mothers you know and love - lockdown has been one hell of a testing time and the words from Nehanda are like a soothing and healing balm. To find out more about Nehanda and how to work with her (which I couldn’t recommend more), visit her at: www.soulmamajourney.com (http://www.soulmamajourney.com/) Follow her on instagram: @soulmamacoach (https://www.instagram.com/soulmamacoach/) And subscribe to: The Soul Mama Podcast (https://soulmamapodcast.podbean.com/) X Selina
Hi lovely, We are back after a one month break and the world is still feeling weird. Here in the UK, while we’re not in full lockdown anymore, things have certainly not returned to normal, but then, as Edward Enninful, editor of UK Vogue says in his brilliant editor’s letter for the August issue (mentioned in this week’s episode) ‘there is no normal to return to’. And so we feel it’s important to not try to normalise this new way of living, but to keep addressing the challenges of living in the shadow of a global pandemic, while also continuing to look at the unexpected opportunities that have come with these unprecedented times. And so that is what we’re doing in this week’s episode: exploring how we are adjusting to living a life that isn’t like the life we were once all living. And how we are continuing to find opportunities for growth, learning, fun and adventure in amongst it all. Project Love Coaching Programmes - doors now open! We have been LOVING coaching over the past few months. This is a time so ripe for change - people just seem ready for it. And we are opening up our doors again to take on new clients. Selina has spaces on her two Career Coaching programmes starting this month and Vicki has spaces on her Love Coaching programme starting in September. If you’re ready to transform your career or love life, then we are ready to take you on that journey. Come and book in a discovery call! Find out about the Get Ready for Love Coaching programme (https://loveprojectlove.com/lovecoaching) and book in a discovery call with Vicki. Find out about the 3 Month Career Change Coaching programme (https://www.selinabarker.com/career-change-coaching) or 6 Week Career Change (or Business Kickstart) Coaching programme (https://www.selinabarker.com/6weekcareerchangeprogramme) and book in a discovery call with Selina. Hi lovely, How are you doing this week? We’ve been finding that while lockdown is easing here in the UK, it isn’t necessarily feeling any easier for a lot of us. It’s so important that we remember that we don’t have to pretend that we’re doing ‘fine’ all the time. It’s also important that we don’t start to feel like we’re treading water and going nowhere. Just because 2020 may have had different plans for us, doesn’t mean we can’t make the most of the unexpected time and space that many of us have been given. For a lot of us this time has been a huge opportunity for reflection and taking stock, getting clear on what is most important to us, what we want more of in our lives and what we want less of. And if you’ve decided that what needs to change in your life is your career, then this episode is for you. For the first time in nine months, now that her book on Burnout is finished, Selina is finally opening the doors to her Career Change Coaching programmes (https://www.selinabarker.com/coaching) ! So we put her in the hot seat in today’s episode, to talk about why now can be such a powerful time to focus on changing career, particularly if what you are looking for is a career that gives you freedom and flexibility and that can be created online. So if you’re feeling like it is time to take the leap and discover what it is you really want to do with your life and make that change, then tune into this week’s episode and find out all about Selina’s Career Change Coaching Programmes at selinabarker.com (https://www.selinabarker.com/coaching) - just think, by September you could know exactly what career lights you up and be on the path to making it your full-time career! Let the adventures begin! X Vicki and Selina
Hi lovely, I hope you are well and making your self-care a top priority at the moment. These past few weeks have been another huge historic moment in our lives and one big global emotional rollercoaster, the likes of which most of us have never experienced before in our lifetime. From grief, to pain, to trauma, to anger, to shame, to guilt - there are a lot of big heavy emotions going on collectively as the anti-racism movement rises up and takes centre stage in our lives. And so this week on the podcast we wanted to talk about that. About how to navigate these times of big emotions - from grief, to anger, to shame, the tools that we’ve been using ourselves and of course the all important topic of active anti-racism and collective healing. We hope that this episode helps you to take a deep breath, slow things down and remember what you need right now to help you to grieve, heal, release your shame, whatever it may be. Use those tools. And below you’ll find a list of the people and resources we mention in the podcast episode. Sending you huge amounts of love, Selina & Vicki @donnalancs (https://www.instagram.com/donnalancs/channel/) Love(d) (https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=love%28d%29&i=prime-instant-video&ref=nb_sb_noss_2) House Gospel Choir (https://www.instagram.com/housegospelchoir/) Their single Blind Faith: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pv2MFkCsn6I Black anti-racism educators to follow: Nova Reid (https://novareid.com/) (Conversations with Nova Reid) Layla Saad (http://laylafsaad.com/) Rachel Cargle (https://www.rachelcargle.com/)
Hello lovely, It has been a heavy few weeks in the world and when we recorded this on Monday we were really feeling it. Our plan was to talk about looking to the future and the positive lessons we’ve learnt during lockdown that we want to carry through as we emerge from it step by step, but when it came to recording, all we wanted to talk about was anti-racism and in particular what we are doing as white women to commit to doing anti-racism work, not just something we dip in and out of, but something we remain firmly committed to on a daily basis, for life. We share what we’re doing right now to be actively anti-racist and what we are committed to doing from now on. If you are white and wondering what you can do, then the key is to listen to the lived experience of black and brown people and never stop listening. Follow black and brown educators but rather than popping into their DMs to ask them to educate you for free, buy their courses and their books. Do the work to shine a light on your own inner racism. We all have it, particularly if we think we don’t. This is an inside outside job as all great transformations are. Breathe through the shame and discomfort that will inevitably bubble up. Welcome it. Here are the resources, books and black anti-racism educators we mention. Nova Reid - an anti-racism campaigner, educator and writer, has been on the podcast to talk to Selina twice about anti racism - those episodes are here (https://loveprojectlove.com/new-blog-1/race-and-white-privilege-with-nova-reid) and here (https://loveprojectlove.com/new-blog-1/navigating-microaggressions-nova-reid) . But in particular we recommend you follow Nova on Instagram NovaReidOfficia (https://www.instagram.com/novareidofficial/?hl=en) l, listen to her own new podcast (https://novareid.com/podcast/) ‘Conversations with Nova Reid’ and do her anti-racism course (https://novareid.com/services/anti-racism-white-privilege-course/) . We also recommend the book ‘Me and White Supremacy’ by Layla Saad and Reni Eddo Lodge’s book ‘Why I’m no longer talking to white people about race’. Here (https://www.instagram.com/p/CA3M9jPhUdK/) is the Instagram post that we mentioned from Pandora Sykes on book recommendations and Jolyon Rubinstein’s (https://www.instagram.com/jolyonrubs/?hl=en) Instagram is another one to check out. Also check out our friends at @housegospelchoir (https://instagram.com/housegospelchoir?igshid=ks8277rjy7nb) for messages of hope, strength and unity and healing music to lift your spirits. Second part of the episode: Life in Lockdown - Lessons Learnt As lockdown starts to ease in many parts of the UK, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of the positive lessons that we’ve learnt during this time and some of the new habits and rituals that we’ve been cultivating. As you listen to this episode, we invite you to have a think of your own lessons from lockdown. Perhaps there are some new ways of living and working that you’d like to bring into your life post-lockdown? For both of us, we’ve been appreciating the simplicity and slower pace of life and plan to maintain that as we move forward. And if there is one thing that we’re excited about returning to post lockdown, it is most definitely HUGS and spending quality time with loved ones. Sending you a big hug from both of us
Hi lovelies, We have another episode for you in our series on Life in Lockdown and this week we're talking about how to practice self-love. So if you'd like an episode to lift your spirits and get you giggling along with us while we explore how to practice self-love during lockdown (and in general) then this one is for you! x Selina & Vicki

Hi lovelies, How are you doing? Here in the UK we are still in lockdown and it’s now been over 50 days. Phewf. If you missed it last week, we are back with our weekly podcast and while the lockdown continues in the UK, each weekly podcast episode will be focused on ‘Life in Lockdown’. In last week’s episode (https://loveprojectlove.com/new-blog-1/life-in-lockdown-series-episode-1) we shared our own experiences of living in lockdown and how we were juggling working from home while sharing the space with partners, pets and kids, plus some of the topics that have been coming out of our weekly online Project Love LOVE-INs (https://loveprojectlove.com/lovein) that we’ve been running every Monday, over on Zoom, since the lockdown began in the UK (have you joined us for one yet? Now, this week we’re talking about dating during lockdown. Believe it or not it is a great time to be dating! Vicki shares how her clients have been finding that dating during lockdown has actually opened up the opportunity for more connectedness, playfulness and more meaningful conversations. Whether you’re using dating sites or dating apps, we talk about how people are finding creative ways to go on dates via Zoom and the love stories that are emerging out of this crazy lockdown period. So whether you’re dating or you just love hearing about love stories, head on over to wherever you listen to your podcasts and tune in! You can also listen over on our website here: And if you are wanting some support and guidance on your dating journey then Vicki has just opened up a couple of spaces on the The Get Ready for Love coaching programme (starting in June). Hello lovelies, We hope you and your loved ones are safe and well
Hi lovelies, It is time for you to grab your Goodbye 2019, Hello 2020 journal and turn to the quarterly check-ins, because it is time for our first quarterly review of the year. And what a historic quarterly review this one will be! It is incredible to think that we are only 3 months into the year. January feels like a different lifetime. But here we are, knee deep in a global pandemic. We both found that doing this quarterly review was actually incredibly grounding. Your plans for this quarter might have been completely derailed by everything that is going on. So it is time to regroup and see what intentions we can set for the next three months that will help us through these uncertain times. Even if you haven’t got the journal, you can still get it over on Amazon or simply tune into the episode today and do it along with us. We are now taking a break for a month on the podcast BUT… We are running a weekly Love-In over on Zoom every week on Monday at 1pm BST during self-isolation. It’s a chance for us to get together for a big virtual hug. We have been LOVING them so far. Join in by signing up over here: https://loveprojectlove.com/lovein You’ll of course still find us over on @loveprojectlove on instagram AND we have both started our own channel on instagram: @vickithelovecoach (https://www.instagram.com/vickithelovecoach/) and @selinathecoach (https://www.instagram.com/selinathecoach/) so come and follow us over on those channels as we share how to navigate love, relationships and dating (Vicki) and living life and working from home (Selina) during the time of Coronavirus. Also mentioned in this episode… 28 Days of Love (https://loveprojectlove.com/28daysoflove) - a free self-love challenge - might be exactly what you need right now Donna Lancaster @donnalancs (https://www.instagram.com/donnalancs/?hl=en) on instagram - who is running grief events and generally offering us all wisdom, love and support during these times. Hope you enjoy doing this historic quarterly review with us and we’ll be back with you in May for lots more! See you over on the Love-Ins in the meantime. Much love, X Selina & Vicki
