Leaving the structure of a corporate job sounds freeing—until you're alone, trying to explain what you do in a sea of people doing the same thing. Suddenly, you're not just the expert—you're the brand, the marketer, the salesperson, all at once. The work might be solid, but getting noticed and landing clients starts to feel like a full-time hustle of its own. And the unpredictability—of income, of leads, of what comes next—can hit harder than expected when you're used to knowing where your next paycheck is coming from. John Lawlor, AI Marketing Advisor and founder of Fractional Planet, helps fractional executives grow their businesses using smart, practical tools. With a diverse background from photography to tech, he now coaches professionals through career shifts and business growth. Today, he shares how AI tools like ChatGPT and Notebook LM can simplify workflows, boost visibility, and support client outreach. He introduces his “visibility flywheel” strategy to help independents stay top-of-mind and build consistent traction. His focus: making solo work smoother, smarter, and more scalable. Stay tuned! Quotes: “AI is either going to make things worse for you or better for you, and that is really up to you—especially if you don't put the human in the loop.” “You can't have an AI book in an hour that's of any quality. It still takes time to do things.” “If you talk about something different every single day, people don't know where to place you. But if you talk essentially about the same thing and find different angles to it, that's important.” Resources: Fractional Planet Follow John Lawlor on Facebook Connect with John Lawlor on LinkedIn

"I love roller coasters, but I hate when my life feels like a roller coaster. I hate when I feel like my future is unpredictable. I hate when I don't know what's next for me. I hate when I don't know if my marriage is going to recover. I hate when I don't know if my finances will work out. I hate when I don't know if my kids will make the right choices. I hate when it feels like my life is hurtling toward the end of a track, and I don't know what's going to happen next. Don't you hate that? Don't you hate … living by faith? But I've found over the years, looking backward is an incredible comfort. That's what this sermon series is about. It's about remembering. It's about looking backwards and finding that comfort. In fact, we said it this way last week: the best way to know what God's going to do in the future is to look backwards at what He has already done. The best way for you to know what your future looks like … especially your future with God, as you try to anticipate how God may move in your life … the best way to know what He may do in your life, is by looking backwards and seeing what He's already done."

This week we are talking about how hormones can drastically change behaviors in dogs. Trin's most recent heat cycle ended up leading to some aggressive behaviors, which was a bit triggering for Heather. However, as we have preached in the past, behavior doesn't change on a dime, and typically there is a medical issue. In this case the medical issue was hormones. Hormones can affect individual dogs very differently and in a wide variety of ways. Heather consulted with her vet and breeder and came to the decision to spay Trin. Trin is already showing signs of going back to her normal, social self. Heather was also brave enough to share her experience and quickly found that she was not alone. One friend even reached out to explain that they had to do hormone replacement therapy with their dog after a spay. So if you do see major or minor behavior shifts in your dog during their heat cycle know that you are not alone!Follow us on https://www.instagram.com/sometimestheressideeye/
Tanis Jorge, Founder of The Cofounder's Hub and Trulioo, gets real about self-belief - it's not a constant state, it's a rollercoaster with inevitable highs and lows. The key insight? Recognizing that self-doubt is temporary prevents you from getting stuck in those low moments forever. Jorge emphasizes how reading stories of other entrepreneurs who've survived their own rollercoasters becomes essential fuel for resilience. It builds a mental framework that reminds you, "this too shall pass" when times get tough. Her advice centers on believing in your unique ability to make your venture work while avoiding the trap of comparing yourself to others. It's about developing sustainable confidence that can weather the inevitable ups and downs of entrepreneurship.Watch Full Podcast- http://bit.ly/4f7g6D3
