Watch the YouTube version of this episode HEREAre you a law firm owner looking for tips on making better decisions? In this episode of the Guild Live Show, host Tyson Mutrux explores the latest in AI and marketing. He demonstrates the AI agent "Comet" for workflow automation, discusses tracking cryptocurrency investments, and reflects on business decision-making inspired by Jeff Bezos' “two-way door” concept. Tyson talks about the AI agent, Comet that can be used for workflow automation. It is a great tool that helps you with your tasks and can act as a thinking partner. A great aspect of this tool is that it can build you a workflow which Tyson provides a demonstration for. You can ask Comet to create things for you, such as providing you a rundown of your monthly calendar. Tyson also speaks to the limitations of the platform, which can cause frustration. Tyson shares Amazon's “two way door” concept for making fast decisions. The concept is that if you walk through a door and don't like what you see, you can walk out. If something works for you, that is great. But, if something doesn't, you can stop doing it. As it relates to law firms, this is an important concept. If you are using a tool or process in your firm that does not work, it is completely fine to stop using it and find a better option.Listen in to learn more!1:16 Discussion about the Comet AI browser agent6:34 Observations on Comet's speed and limitations15:24 Amazon's “two way door” concept for fast, reversible decisions16:20 The two way door concept and its relevance to his firm's decision-makingTune in to today's episode and checkout the full show notes here.

Send us a textHave you ever felt like your body is working against you despite your best efforts? In this candid conversation, we open up about our recent health struggles and the mental toll they take. From mysterious foot pain that might be plantar fasciitis or a bone spur, to the frustration of weight loss plateaus that seem to last forever - we don't hold back on the realities of living in bodies that sometimes feel like they have minds of their own.The conversation takes a fascinating turn as we explore how today's technology and social media landscape is affecting our collective mental health. We dive into a disturbing situation where AI chatbots are validating someone's concerning delusions online, highlighting the darker side of our increasingly digital world. Remember when trends lasted years instead of days? We reminisce about how the pace of technological change has accelerated to a point where it feels impossible to keep up, drawing parallels to the movie WALL-E that now seems "way too close to home" despite being made in 2008.Through it all, our friendship shines as we seamlessly move between serious topics and lighter moments - debating the merits of different bottled water brands (sorry Ontario tap water!), expressing our excitement for pumpkin spice season, and comparing notes on protein powders. We wrap up by setting realistic health goals for the week ahead, proving that despite our struggles, we're still committed to making positive changes. Whether you're dealing with health challenges, feeling overwhelmed by technology, or just looking for some authentic conversation, this episode offers comfort in knowing you're not alone in your struggles.Support the showDo you have a story you would like to share? The Soft Life on a Hard Schedule: Slowing Down in a Fast-Paced WorldWhat if softness isn't about doing less… but about holding life differently? In this episode of Grow Your Life with Kim & Jackie, we unpack the myth that the “soft life” is only for the privileged — and show how softness is actually a nervous system state, not an aesthetic. We explore how choosing calm over chaos doesn't mean opting out of your life — it means shifting the way you move through it.It means regulating, slowing the internal pace, and allowing more ease in the middle of everything that's still hard, still full, still demanding. We're normalizing softness as something that's not only allowed, but necessary.Necessary for healing.Necessary for expansion.Necessary for receiving the miracles that are already meant for you.✨ You are not broken.✨ You are not behind.✨ You are a miracle — and you are meant for more than just surviving your life.

Mastering Leadership and Entrepreneurship: Insights from Andrew PolesIn this episode of The Thoughtful Entrepreneur, host Josh Elledge speaks with Andrew Poles, Founder and CEO of Andrew Poles Executive Coaching. Andrew is an executive coach who helps startup founders and small business owners build leadership capacity, navigate high-pressure growth, and scale their ventures effectively. With a background in entrepreneurship and a passion for personal development, Andrew brings practical insights to leaders striving to grow not only their companies—but themselves.Building Founders Who Can Build CompaniesAndrew works with two key audiences: high-growth startup founders (particularly in tech and medtech), and small business owners navigating more stable, bootstrapped environments. For tech founders, challenges often revolve around investor pressure, scaling quickly, and transitioning from doing everything themselves to leading others. These leaders must rapidly establish culture, process, and structure in what Andrew calls a “pressure cooker” environment.Small business owners face a different set of obstacles. Without investor capital, they're often bootstrapping their operations and must maintain long-term stability while building sustainable growth. Andrew supports both types of founders with customized coaching that helps them sharpen leadership skills, foster emotional resilience, and drive strategic clarity—even amid chaos. He also discusses how systemic disruption—especially through AI—is reshaping how companies build, operate, and scale. While software companies can now move faster with leaner teams thanks to AI, product-focused businesses face greater uncertainty from external factors like tariffs and supply chain instability. Andrew's coaching helps founders stay grounded and make smart decisions amid uncertainty.About Andrew PolesAndrew Poles is the Founder and CEO of Andrew Poles Executive Coaching, where he helps entrepreneurs grow as leaders while scaling successful businesses. Welcome to episode #986 of Six Pixels of Separation - The ThinkersOne Podcast. Pico Iyer lives between worlds - geographically, culturally, and spiritually - and that makes him one of the most attuned chroniclers of what it means to be alive right now. Best known for travel writing that often transcends borders and genres (The Global Soul, Video Night in Kathmandu, The Lady and the Monk), Pico is also a deeply reflective thinker about silence, stillness, and solitude. In his latest book, Aflame - Learning from Silence, he returns to a Benedictine monastery in Big Sur - a place he has visited over 100 times - to explore what it means to pause in a world that won't stop moving. This isn't a religious retreat or a spiritual how-to. It's a meditation on fire: what we lose, what remains, and how burning down can be its own kind of beginning. In this conversation, we talk about the power of silence in an always-on culture, why the monastic life holds so much wisdom even for secular people, and how loss (of home, of place, of identity) can be a clarifier rather than just a crisis. There are moments of levity (Leonard Cohen, a fellow monastery-goer, makes an appearance), but mostly what Pico offers is a quiet urgency: that we're missing too much while looking at everything. His reflections on mindfulness, technology, climate anxiety, writing, and what it means to find meaning when everything feels untethered will resonate with anyone seeking more presence in a distracted world (also check out his other books: The Art of Stillness and The Half Known Life). Pico splits his time between Japan and California, writes with grace and generosity for The New York Times, Time, The New York Review of Books and others. If you're struggling to make sense of modern life, this one offers something deeper than answers - it offers permission to pause. He is one of my mentors and someone I constantly think about. Find realistic ways to bring mindfulness into your meals, even when life is busy. Spirituality and Modern Life: Finding Balance in a Fast-Paced Worldby Kathryn LeemanIn today's fast-paced world, spirituality often takes a backseat to the demands of daily life. Yet, amidst the chaos of modern living, many people are rediscovering the importance of nurturing their spiritual selves. This growing interest in spirituality reflects a deep-seated need for balance, purpose, and connection in an increasingly fragmented society. The Essence of SpiritualitySpirituality is a broad and multifaceted concept that transcends religious boundaries. At its core, it involves a search for meaning, inner peace, and a connection to something greater than oneself. For some, this might involve traditional religious practices, while for others, it could mean meditation, mindfulness, or a deep appreciation for nature. Regardless of the form it takes, spirituality is about cultivating a sense of inner well-being and a harmonious relationship with the world around us.The Challenges of Modern LifeModern life is characterized by constant connectivity, rapid technological advancements, and an ever-increasing pace. These factors, while beneficial in many ways, often contribute to stress, anxiety, and a sense of disconnection. The relentless pursuit of material success can leave little room for introspection and spiritual growth. In such an environment, finding time for spiritual practices can be challenging but not impossible.Integrating Spirituality into Daily LifeMindfulness and Meditation: Incorporating mindfulness and meditation into daily routines can help individuals stay grounded and present. These practices encourage self-awareness and foster a deeper connection to the present moment, reducing stress and enhancing overall well-being.Nature and Solitude: Spending time in nature and embracing moments of solitude can be profoundly spiritual experiences. Nature has a unique way of reminding us of the beauty and interconnectedness of life. Taking regular walks, practicing outdoor yoga, or simply sitting quietly in a park can rejuvenate the spirit.Gratitude and Reflection: Practicing gratitude and regular reflection can shift focus from what is lacking to what is abundant in life. Keeping a gratitude journal or engaging in daily reflection can cultivate a positive mindset and a deeper appreciation for life's blessings.Community and Connection: Building and nurturing meaningful connections with others is a vital aspect of spirituality. Whether through community service, joining a spiritual group, or simply spending quality time with loved ones, these connections foster a sense of belonging and shared purpose. The Benefits of SpiritualityEmbracing spirituality in modern life offers numerous benefits. It provides a sense of purpose and direction, helping individuals navigate life's challenges with resilience and grace. Spiritual practices can reduce stress, improve mental health, and promote a sense of inner peace. Furthermore, spirituality often fosters compassion and empathy, encouraging individuals to contribute positively to their communities and the world at large.ConclusionIn conclusion, spirituality remains a vital component of a balanced and fulfilling life, even in the hustle and bustle of modern society. By integrating spiritual practices into daily routines, individuals can cultivate inner peace, find deeper meaning, and foster a sense of connection with the world around them. In doing so, they not only enhance their own well-being but also contribute to a more compassionate and harmonious world.www.Clovistia.comFacebook.com/ClovistiaInstagram @ClovistiaExecutive Producer: Grace StarProducer: Charlie Garciaall rights reserved 2024 Copyright Clovistia

What if the key to happiness and fulfilment was not changing our external circumstances but learning to appreciate and understand our inner world? This powerful idea is at the heart of this week's conversation with Buddhist monk and author Haemin Sunim. Haemin is a Zen Buddhist teacher and the author of two Sunday Times bestselling books, including his very latest, the beautiful: ‘When Things Don't Go Your Way: Zen Wisdom for Difficult Times.' Haemin was born in South Korea, educated at Berkeley, Harvard, and Princeton, and received formal monastic training in Korea. When not travelling to share his teachings, he resides in Seoul, where he founded the Dharma Illumination Zen Center, offering meditation retreats and counselling programs. We begin our conversation exploring the tension between personal aspirations and societal expectations, what Haemin calls the "me of me" versus the "me of others." This internal conflict, he believes, is at the root of much of our stress and unhappiness. We also discuss the importance of slowing down and being present, and how, in our rush to achieve and reach our goals, we can often miss the beauty and richness of our current experiences. With that in mind, Haemin shares some practical tips for mindfulness, that can help us reconnect with ourselves and the world around us. A key theme in this conversation is the interconnected nature of all things. Haemin explains how adopting this worldview can profoundly affect our happiness and sense of purpose. We also discuss the power of listening, the importance of solitude, and the crucially important notion that we always have a choice in how we interpret and respond to life's challenges. And, even when things don't go our way, there's always an opportunity for growth and unexpected joy. This is a beautiful conversation, full of deep and practical insights that I'm sure will help you find greater peace, purpose and contentment. Support the podcast and enjoy Ad-Free episodes.
