Jonny and Heather discuss Heather's new novel, Goodbye Hello, an unconventional romance that begins with grief at a funeral. In the back half of the show, they examine new turns in the anti-trans rhetoric of TERFs and transphobes, turns meant to be rebuttals to arguments for trans righs. They offer rebuttals to the rebuttals and note the pervasive function of caricature as a tool of scapegoating embedded in all the antitrans rhetoric.
What a whirlwind week it's been. People crying (me) and saying goodbye to their audiences on Tik Tok only for it to be banned for a total of 14 hours. But who cares? It's back and that's all that matters. Christina Haaks from the show Flip or Flop was on a radio show this week talking about her divorce from her husband and how it is not going well. She gave him some money to "live" and he went and bought a Bentley. So she hired the famous celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser to take the trash out. Severance season 2 is finally out and they had one of the coolest marketing campaigns I've ever seen. Baby One More Time is now in the Billions Club on Spotify. It is Britney's second song to achieve this. Many Grammy related events have been canceled and record labels are putting the money towards relief funds for LA fire victims. Rolling Stones has put Addison Rae on their February cover, hinting at an album release from the Tik Tok star. Jessica and Jessica (Simpson & Alba) both announced this week that they are separating from their husbands. The Mahomes family just got bigger. They welcomed their 3rd child on January 12th. Trisha Paytas has announced she is going on tour starting in February. Kim Kardashian is advocating for incarcerated firefighters, stating that they need to be paid more. They currently only make $26.50 for a 24 hour shift. A number of artists have come together for a benefit concert, FirAid. The proceeds will go towards the victims of the LA fires. And last but not least, a woman was scammed out of almost $1 million because she thought she was talking to Brad Pitt. Thanks for listening!

Adam Berry, paranormal investigator and co-host of the Travel Channel's Kindred Spirits, released his debut book, Goodbye Hello: Processing Grief and Understanding Death Through the Paranormal this last holiday. Sound a bit morbid for a gift? Not so. The book, thoroughly entertaining, is a positive and hopeful look at the afterlife through stories from Adam's encounters, supernatural research, and psychology. Add Adam's touch of queer sensibility and style of storytelling, and you have a touching book that serves as a comfort to those struggling to come to terms with grief and the end of life, themes that can play a heavy hand for those going through loss. Adam began experiencing the paranormal when he was a kid in his childhood home. But it wasn't until a visit to Gettysburg, in a scene like a movie, that his relationship with the paranormal world would become his life's journey. After appearing and winning the reality show Ghost Hunters Academy, he and his partner in crime, Amy Bruni, would build their own legacy in the paranormal world with their TV show Kindred Spirits. In this episode, we chat with Adam about the paranormal experience that started it all, understanding grief through the paranormal, life after death, coming out, being part of the LGBTQ community, his theatre work, we tackle the subject of God's existence, and so much more! It's a wild ride!Hosted by Alexander Rodriguez. You can purchase Adams' book Goodbye Hello wherever you get your books, and check out our in-depth chat with him in the current issue of Metrosource on newsstands or at Metrosource.com
I look at the last city council meeting of the previous session, the swearing-in ceremony, and the first meeting on January 1st. We hear the goodbye statements from outgoing councilors, Ruthzee's first speech as President, and I discuss the controversies of the presidential vote and of course "oathgate." I also reflect on the roles of rituals in the Boston City Council and in our government.

Whether you've lost a loved one to an illness, time or a crime, death affects us all. How we deal with death is extremely personal. Paranormal investigator and host of Kindred Spirits Adam Berry 's new book "Goodbye Hello," looks at how supernatural and psychological research can help us understand what happens after death. Is there an afterlife? Why do spirits remain on earth, and what can they teach us about ourselves? Can paranormal activity help solve crimes? Police looking into the murder of a nurse in California do not think so, but one woman's visions lead to a body. And I have given them the glory you gave me, so that they may be one, as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may be brought to perfection as one, that the world may know that you sent me, and that you loved them even as you loved me. Father, they are your gift to me.”

Covid – 19 in all its complexities has forced us to adapt to uncertainty as so much around us has changed. No longer are things as usual, with much change in our lives whether it is in our homes, our workplaces, let alone special events such as weddings, funerals, vacations, graduations, and a host of other activities we normally do in a year, now being either downsized or even outright cancelled. Those normal rhythms of our life have been drastically reduced or curtailed as we have sought ways to reduce the spread of the virus.

This week we’ve created a podcast episode designed to take you through a 6 month review of your 2018 so far and help you create a plan for the second half of the year. We did this ourselves before recording this podcast and it was so powerful (you’ll find out why when you listen in!) In this podcast, we take you through a simple but powerful process that helps you to look back on your 2018 so far and reflect on all that you’ve done, all that has happened in your life, all that you’re proud of and all that you’ve learnt along the way. We’ll then take a look at what you’d like the next 6 months to be all about, any intentions you’d like to make, dreams you’d like to bring to life and any goals you’d like to set for yourself. We’ll be sharing with you nuggets from our own journeys as well as stories from our Project Love tribe to see how they’ve got on with sticking to their commitments and dreams We’ll also be taking you through the key lessons learnt along the way and what it takes to design a life you love. So grab a pen and paper and listen in as we take you through the 6 month review process (questions below). **The 6 month review and plan questions:** How are you feeling at the moment? What has been happening in your life since Jan 2018? What have you done that you’re proud of? What have been your happiest moments? What have been your most challenging moments? What would you like to do less of over the next 6 months? What would you like to do more of over the next 6 months? What 3 things do you want to commit to doing over the next 6 months (they can be specific goals or intentions)? And we’d love to hear your stories of how you’ve been getting on, particularly if you’ve done our **‘Goodbye 2017, Hello 2018’** journal at the start of the year. Has doing **‘Goodbye, Hello’** had a positive impact on you already this year or helped you to make changes in your life or reach goals that you might not have otherwise? Do drop us an email on hello@loveprojectlove.com, we’d love to share your stories and celebrate all the ways that ‘Goodbye / Hello’ has helped you to design a life you love (big and small!) as we get ready for the launch of ‘Goodbye 2018, Hello 2019’ (exciting announcements coming soon on that one!) So much love, Vicki and Selina x
Season Premieres:Claws (TNT)At the Nail Artisan of Manatee County salon in Central Florida, five diverse, hardworking manicurists try to make ends meet in a staid economy while managing perilous personal lives awash in drama. Also hanging around the salon are shady redneck Roller; ambulance coach Bryce, Jennifer's husband who is also newly sober; and Uncle Daddy, a dangerous, deeply Catholic and actively bisexual crime boss.C.B. Strike (Cinemax)Based on the bestselling novels written by J.K. Rowling under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith, miniseries C.B.Strike follows a war veteran turned private detective, who operates out of a tiny office in London’s Denmark Street. Season Finale:Killing Eve (BBC America)Eve's life as a spy is not adding up to what she had hoped it would be when she started. She is a bored, very smart, MI5 security officer who is very desk-bound. Villanelle is a very talented killer, mercurial in mood, who clings to the luxuries of her job. Eve and Villanelle go head to head in a fierce game of cat and mouse, each woman equally obsessed with the other as Eve is tasked with hunting down the psychopathic assassin. Sarah Barnett, BBCA president, says, " `Killing Eve' stands out in a sea of scripted stories as refreshingly entertaining and great fun."Series Finale:The Americans (FX)Philip and Elizabeth Jennings are two KGB spies in an arranged marriage who are posing as Americans in suburban Washington, D.C., shortly after Ronald Reagan is elected president. The couple have two children, teenager Paige and preteen Henry, who are unaware of their parents' true identities. The complex marriage becomes more passionate and genuine each day but is continually tested as the Cold War escalates. As Philip begins to warm up to America's values and way of life, his relationship with Elizabeth becomes more complicated. Further complicating things is the arrival of the Jennings' new neighbour, FBI agent Stan Beeman, who is part of a new division of the agency tasked with fighting foreign agents on U.S. soil. The drama series was created by former CIA agent-turned-author Joe Weisberg. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

# La última “The Welfare State”, ¿qué me dices de ella?
It’s 2017! Today Jo and Steph are chatting about what it looks like to be intentional with looking backwards at 2016 and saying ‘hello!’ to 2017. It is not too late for you to embrace the process! Saying goodbye to things in the previous year and saying hello to new things has been a process Jo has been embracing since way back in 1992! Listen in to hear her journey with the process. The ‘Hello Goodbye’ process is a tool in response to New Year’s resolutions - it is not about fixing yourself, but intentionally, prayerfully turning away from certain things, whether good or bad, and turning towards other things. Those things might be fun (like working out!) or they may be uncomfortable like embracing grief or forgiveness, but the focus is finding ways to be healthier emotionally, spiritually and physically. Listen in to find out who said: ‘Why cry when you can eat fried chicken?’ and ‘It’s not an idol, it’s an ideal!’ You can get your free Hello Goodbye workbook at www.leadstoriesmedia.com Discussion questions: 1) What traditions have you had at New Years? Have you ever had any New Year’s resolutions? How did they go? 2) When you look at your life honestly right now, would you say you are living intentionally or surviving? It's an end and a beginning. An alpha and an omega. It's the final show for Cooper Hawkes, but the first show after we've announced a new website. So it's a celebration and a sad goodbye. It's also a really, really good show. Edie Sellers and Holy Goalie are joined by Hawkes one last time to talk up news of the week in gaming. There's a lot to take in, and Hawkes is in unusually rare form — reminding us exactly why we'll miss him. Topics include: Microsoft unveils a "family plan" for XBL Gold accounts. . Hulu Plus will launch for the Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360. For $9.99 a month, you'll ostensibly be able to drop your cable service. Maybe. OnLive has debuted, and Xbox is holding a Live-a-Palooza wherein more than 200 Rock Band/Guitar Hero songs are discounted up to 50 percent. Get on it. Want to preorder a game? You might think about Amazon, since they're giving Amazon credit for such things. Rumor: NBC is developing a television show about gaming. Meh. Sega Saturn titles to be heading to the Xbox Live Arcade — just like their Dreamcast bretheren. .
